My friend showed me this really good Autocannon setup that uses Splintering Shells and is almost entirely an upgrade from the carpet bomber I was using before, the only problems are that it has a little less ammo, smaller magazine capacity, and a smaller AoE range but it works really good

To people whining about epc mining getting nerfed:

LITERALLY just heat sink got nerfed.

that's the "epc mining nerf".

it now overheats when you charge it.

See the heat buildup?

That's what's making it overcharge instantly.

They did this so you could still use heatsink as a way to proc explosions for cheap ammo without being able to spam it too wildly.

This works because now you can build flying nightmare to be very cheap and spammable, although instead of being able to do it fast, you can now do it more times in TOTAL.

it's not really a bug, just an interesting setup by the RNG

that mission is a soft lock unless your engineer is making bridges for pipeline building, bug reports usually go in #bug-discussion, pinging the entire mod team will do you no good except bring grumpy people here, take a screenshot of your escape menu if you're still in that mission so the seed number can be seen

First option. You want to have maximum AoE damage and size for Carpet Bomber. Fear as T5 mod for it is not the best as you want bugs to clump, not run away everywhere. Taking Feedback Loop or Damage Resistance (depending on your preferences) would be best

I really, REALLY hate the Tyrant Weed. It always shows up in the worse locations.

I didn't get to record the entire mission, but for context in this mission it spawned right in front of the dirt tunnel forward, and we spent all our nitra trying to kill it while a swarm came. Somehow we all got around the weed, but then another swarm came and everyone besides me went down because we had no ammo or health.

I'm sweating flinging myself all over the cave to kite bugs and find nitra with a slither of health while all 3 of my downed teammates had oppressors guarding their corpses. So I said f***it and went to complete the objective as quickly as possible to try and salvage this trainwreck of a mission.

At the end of the video, HQ decides it's a brilliant idea to drop the pod next to the weed field. So not only am I avoiding a full swarm, but the sprouts as well. I had one freeze grenade left so I thought I could save the engineer after killing the two sprouts next to him, but instead I ended up flinging myself down a hole.

You can find this in the Memorial Hall. A dwarf apparently likes to eat meals here. You can tell how much love and dedication the devs put into this. It's the little things as much as the big things that I love. It gives depth and personality to the game and the atmosphere. Maybe a Dwarf's friend died and this is how he remembers him, maybe he just likes the view. It is a good view.
