@stable light that's a broken resupply pod from a previous mining team. They can sometimes spawn with leftover ammo still in them, free for the taking. So make sure to dig out all sides to make sure there's not anything left behind.

@night relic i got these in game, someone showed me how to exploit a bug with the terminals, and then i just cut out 3 of the dwarves and pasted them onto one image that i resized a bit. i use gimp, and im not an expert by any means, but it only took my like 10 minutes to put it together. the really hard part was dressing them, picking matching weapon skins etc.

yeah the scout was probably mining in the upper part of the crassus gold with his pockets full and the dwarves below collecting the dropped gold chunks and depositing them, so it would explain why the others have more "pickaxe" stat
