I think I know why this happened.

The core infuser only opens for folks if they have at least one promoted character. Typically, you're only able to obtain cores after this point, but the seasonal event gave cores to some greenbeards who weren't even promoted yet. Since these cores can still be used, it's safe to assume some greenie just straight up stole your slot.

I hope that makes sense.

I do not know why it happens but I have seen it happen many times, to the point that I would call it a common bug that many people have overlooked out of impatience. Excuse the late response, but are you aware that beer effects proc twice?
You get +69% (130%x130%=169%) health from Red rock blaster's (armor mastery health excluded) 4x gold with pots o gold, and with rocky mountain everything takes 2 less hits, but since the max is 3, and at minimum terrain needs to be hit once to be affected in any sort of way, you one hit the terrain, regardless of the terrain. There are a few exceptions, but those exceptions are where rocky mountain's doesn't apply at all (fossils and corals in dense biozone and to the likes of those)

Combination of two things.

First off, at the time there was a glitch where you could pop into a ship-launched fighter, exit to main menu, and recall your ship when you log back in. This refreshes any depleted minerals in your instance, except for blown up rocks which were serversided.

Second being there was a way to consistently find and come back to a rock that had 4 pristine subsurface deposits of low temperature diamonds, which were high value at the time.
