1. Does the "50% of the damage turned into fire damage" increase how much heat is inflicted onto the targets in the aoe?

2. Does the Spiky grenade mod's damage dealt when you directly hit an enemy transfer into the heat damage as well? :3

1. half of the area damage is turned into heat, so technically you are loosing half damage bu since enemies are set on fire it evens out. Heat mod is also good, because there is no damage drop off on it unlike with normal area damage

2. No, direct damage is not affected by heat mod

Direct damage and dealing with tougher enemies. For bigger crouds I use Hellfire coilgun in 23113 setup. Hit them with fire, mop up the rest with autocannon. Eventually focus praetorians. That's when I'm using Big Bertha OC

you could take more ammo but I find the slow charge speed can cause you to miss out on important shots when you need things to line up

Would recommend using the dash perk, in a build running the mole cause repositioning around terrain is important. Mission types where you get the most from the OC would be Elimination, mining expedition and on site refining as maps in those missions will have more varied terrain than escort, point extraction and industrial sabotage.

Depends, what's that last upgrade on your shotgun?

If it's semi auto then i would say its pretty good of you don't wanna focus on turrets

However if you wanna increase the damage potential of your upgraded turret then It would have to be the alternate one (think it's called kickstart)

Basically you shoot the turret with your shotgun and the turrent fires a mega Blast at whatever it's aiming at

i think you can get on the drop pod faster from the catwalk, i don't think you have to go that far to the right and up that ladder on the catwalk

you could also vault off the thin orange fins on the top of the drop pod to get height faster

and you could probably take the corners a bit tighter at the end

i didn't know you could get up onto the catwalk that way though, i always used the elevator and used the momentum from it to jump off early and land straight on the drop pod. works well enough but i want to compare the speed of both methods, too bad i still have 5 hours of work lol

personally, i think the current way haunted cave works is great. a slow, unkillable force does a really good job at denying areas and forcing you to reposition. even when i'm playing scout i like to get a strong foothold over a small area during swarms and defend myself around the same area so there won't be any surprises and i won't get caught in a bad spot and be overrun. the ghost really denies this kind of play style and forces you to reposition almost constantly, which makes me play way differently than i normally would. for that reason i think haunted cave as it is works really well. i can't think of any other way that it could be done where it wouldn't be too annoying or too easy

point extractions progressively spawn more ambushes over time until it caps at 15 minutes, but as far as i know, once you deposit all of the aquarqs it is true that it continuously spawns enemies until you extract, whether or not you call for the drop pod

i don't necessarily have proof for that aside from playing the game and hearing it from greybeards, but i'm at least 90% sure that's how point extractions work
