Made a Heroforge of my gunner Dwarf OC. He's a military kid whose clan were nomads who lost their home to a machine uprising brought on by a Draconic AI. He wanted to prove himself like the heroes of his clan, but before he could join the efforts to reclaim the planet, the clan elders just paid DRG to clear out the AI and reclaim the planet for a nominal fee.
Eager to prove himself, he wades into combat armed with his family's relic Autocannon "Skysunder" And a bad attitude. Despite his resilience, his time raised in a low-gravity environment has left him with a less-than-average alchohol tolerance (For a dwarf.) This leads to no end of razzing from his squadmates.

He's seen here in plainclothes...though he does still remain strapped, even on off-days. Something his friends really wish he'd stop doing.

As it rose to drown out the gunfire, the minerals were forgotten, heaped in a pile. Heavy bootsteps carried him downhill, one gloved hand grabbing the handle over his hip. Bugs were swarming the massive drill on treads, almost covering it entirely. Yellow plate peeked between clawed limbs. Gunfire beat like an over eager drummer from either side, raining lead into the writhing horde, the dwarf's turrets working double time. The growing pile of corpses around the machine's treads stood testament to his creation's piss and vinager.

The AI drum on top was making an ungodly racket in alarm, as the swarm seemed no less, pouring from the literal walls. The explosive almost hit the screaming yellow pod. Fire ploomed over the hull, the concussive force drowning out the sound of gunfire. It even gave the Glyphids pause as smoke and soot poured from the force, choking the air with debris. And yet the gunfire never stopped. The dwarf charged into the smoke and dust beard first as the turrets slowed to an unsteady sputtering, sensors struggling to confirm targets.

A device clattered amongst squirming bodies and howling voices. Bright green lit up the smoke field as it began to clear, to reveal... River dancing. A ruggishly handsome dwarf was dancing with a fervor, stone faced among Glyphids. So distracting was the hologram that it took the confused, angry bugs more than a few heart beats to notice the real dwarf emptying shells into vulnerable backs. Buckshot smashed into vulnerable backside chitin, cracking and busting the hard material to reveal the soft, now shredded, interior.

The steady beat of gun barrels, the crack of buckshot, a screeching AI. Soon it all ceased as the dwarf stood among the bodies. In the quiet, he examined the mounds of bodies, and pulled the drum from his shotgun's belly. Another was slapped into place as the stout figure went about his work. Each turret refilled, hologram returned to it's pouch, maintenance on the drill... And then, a rock's siren call returned to his ears.

gooey the gunner is tired of all the other girls shit being the leader and all, but, Bubs or Bubblegum the scout is extremely reckless and will question nothing before doing something dangerous, she's also usually the first to get drunk at the bar on her endless quest to not be such a lightweight. and Red the Engi is super high strung, she panics about being prepared and being on time, she's usually very efficient but she is super awkward and tries to be very enthusiastic like the rest of her team mates, but she wasn't planning on going out on missions when she was training her engineer skills, she can also just fix anything.

You got the level of detail and the sharp-angled high-contrast shadows down pat in this drawing 👍
However, if I may add something, Darkest Dungeon's art style's prominent feature is that you can't see any of the heroes' eyes. Only the monsters have visible eyes in that game, for the adventurers it's always either goggles or complete shadows. It plays well into the game's theme (eyes are the "mirror of the soul", and you don't know when your heroes are going to exhibit vices or virtues, you can't see into their soul).
So if you do any of the other dwarves in that style, I think it's pertinent to keep that in mind.

So I had an idea for a DRG style weapon. Since we recently got mainline weapons added what would possible sidearms? Well here is one concept.

The Wasp Nest is a hand held nano missile launcher that shoots tiny auto tracking nano missiles that seek out the closest bug and bury into it. The cartridge is the whole front of the gun leaving the rear as just an aiming and trigger impliment. While these little buggers are devestating at short range, they cant go very far and tend to have a mind of their own. The shear number of them and rapid reload allow for a handy hold out when your in a pinch or need to unload into a dreadnaught's BEE-hind.

This sidearm would be for the Gunner.

The Gem cutter is traditionally a tool used on the rig to cut minerals down to fit into cargo crates before shipping out as a pickaxe is not a tool for fine work. Without permission from Management several Driller's have been seen using these wonders of technology to cut Glyphids down to size. Management has seen fit to allow this to continue as the battery packs used for these are far cheaper to produce than traditional ammunition.

The Driller can use this hand held laser to trim away unsightly terrain or to slice through even the toughest glyphid's armor. Word of caution, the batteries on these tools dont last long and are liable to overheat with prolonged usage.

Bolt Driver.

The Engineer has overclocked the pressure chamber on this mundane tool and added a little surprise to the bolts in order to give our friendly Glyphid neigbors a bad day. These new bolts have little capsules on their ends that ruptures when the bolt hits its target releasing a myriad of possible elemental effects to whatever gets close enough. As an added bonus a little pheramone added to the bolt itself seems to draw in the beasties.

Management applauds creative use of DRG equipment, but be careful not to shoot yourself in the foot, these bolts are hard to get out once they've dug themselves into fleshy bits.

Experimental railgun technology has allowed for a handheld rapid fire slug gun that uses magnetic force to launch super heated slugs out of a very small package. Scout's newest sidearm is a fast shooting, ammo hog of a gun but its heated slugs will teach any glyphid not to get too close to a dwarf.

With a bit of overclocking the magnetic chamber can overheat the slugs before firing for even more elemental damage, tho this slows the fire rate significantly.

the battery is in the clip so the gun itself can be light enough for even a scout to use.
