Which also means the second part of the comment isn't accurate, but as for being 307 vs 333 at "max level", you likely played/promoted when the character rank was still only 20.

Bold and old the ol' dwarf still fight for the security of his teammates he gets assigned to, and even if he isn't the oldest and he may turned coat to the Mighty miners to "being too slow with the killing and leaving to many of 'em" as he said; he still a loyal employee and for sure he will keep going.

3-4 designs are coming... in the next hours or days.. as i'm thinking to adding a granade mudule beneth the thing.. but i say will make all 3-4 guns and let the people decide who's best between them so far i have 3 main idea: burst fire mode with granade luncher module with it , crystal/lazer assault rifle , that has mid-short range or long but this one is the most complex ... and lastly a more suttle version with not much as mechanical components if not that the gun is tought to give the use mobility and stun more the enemies..

[the granage module should have eather it's own granades (1 or 2) or being a direct upgrade that uses the user-granades instead making them have more reach or arch]

sorry if i overcomplicate my stuff but my art is usually with a purpose in mind.

the stats for it should be : doesn't need to reload, medium fire rate, it does overheat , the secondary fire creates a sticky plasma goo bomb that sticks to anything and detonates after tot seconds [overheating the weapon in the process] , the plasma shots travel slower then regular bullets

@stable nest I made the stl myself after Robert kindly sent me the game model.
Since it was a something made for a game, i had to redo almost everything so there's no gap, no overlapping and nothing inside it. I then cut it into pieces, added interior spaces, created the grooves so everything fit together. And then the hardest part was creating the articulations for the legs.

really depends of the model you want to play with

#

for engie I had to extract individually all the parts: body + weapon + hat + armor + beard + mustache, put them together in 3ds max (blender works too), I also extracted the animations so i could walk through them and chose one that i liked. Exported the 3d file, then cut it into pieces with any software.
just had to remove all the tiny triangles that the game file has for animation skeleton

turret was in one file that could be divided into each tinier pieces, removed the triangles as well, got rid of the interior details and added a solid bloc inside

#

I didnt have to mess with the remeshing for these two

#

bosco on the other side, I had to manually redo a lot of meshes. Particularly on the side panels and ears, so they were part of the body. That meant removing everything that was inside and carefully redraw the surfaces so there's no gap

#

It gets really funky with shaders and lighting and stuff though its kinda weird

I tend to have a problem with it almost every time I use it but it seems to work with most game engines, Im not too savy with the back end stuff my friend is a lot better at all that than I am and tends to hold my hand through it

Ive used ninja ripper too that seems pretty decent

That one doesnt give you the armature or any of the rig though

Thats awesome! Ive got a pretty basic grasp of rhino I find it great for hard surface modeling especially for objects that need specific dimensions Maya and zbrush are miserable for trying to get scale ive found.

Ive actually used rhino to create armatures that I know are to scale with what im working on then imported the files to zbrush/maya for soft work and sculpting. lol. Im stuck in the mindset of traditional sculpting and modelmaking not 3d.

.... but how do you take in consideration the hight of a cealing ? and take a look at the LMG mk 2 that thing is completly different... as another model to me this looks minimalistic. i say if you had time you could had gone futher with the modifications and add an ammo case, or ye know something exta, take as inspiration old mortar guns, again it's my lonely opinion but i think the idea is good the model is MEH...

I updated the grenade launcher. Now there's a sandwich box on the side to hold grenades or sandwiches (I don't recommend storing jelly sandwiches, it tends to jam dderp ) with a pipe sticking out for reloading purposes. The light on the top of the sentry has been replaced with a laser sight for aiming arc paths (It could also be a spinning light because everyone likes spinning lights). I also added a sticker on the side like a class symbol for both sentries

Secondary notes: When the grenade is launched it makes a "phu-ump" noise. And in terms of the sentry figuring out aiming in tight corridors vs giant caves, the aiming will be the same; just in the tight hallways it'll explode on the ceiling and cause AoE damage, whereas in giant caves it'll be able to do direct damage (assuming it'll actually hit on time)

So now that we can only use Iron Will once per mission and it gives us a few seconds of greatness to come back to life or to do some epic maneuvers before we go down for good, I thought that we could benefit from a more cinematic approach to what could mean a turn of the tide for our mining team. Pardon my rough sketches, but I think they would help to convey the idea.

FIG 1. Dwarf is down in a critical moment. Killer bugs crawling around like usual.

FIG 2. Iron Will is activated, Dwarf begins to rise while gathering some primal will to live.

FIG 3. This is were the fun begins. Epic thunder sound* and echoing battle-scream (not a regular "For Karl!" but a unique echoing and thunderous "FOR KAAAAARL!!!") can be heard in a huge area, scaring the bugs around and informing team mates that a Dwarf never truly dies. Glorious pose is mandatory.

FIG 4. While FIG 3 is happening, camera in 3rd person gradually rotates to the back of the dwarf. Getting closer?

FIG 5. Once in position, a quick zoom in into the back of the head of the dwarf get us...

FIG 6. ...back to 1st person, buffed, reloaded and ready to rumble. We don't get the red (damaged) frame, but rather a glowing yellow thundery one, adrenaline like, that fades as the timer for Iron Will runs out. Heart beats could also be added for maximum pleasure, with faded effect for as long as the invulnerability lasts.

Im more of a traditional painter... mostly creating surreal oil/watercolor paintings .
