Some of it is me free handing linework and i do all the light and shadows by hand. I layer different filters i like until it gets this really cool hand drawn looking work. I used to draw a lot years ago, but art supplies are expensive so I make do with stuff I find online. Theres one step though where I use a filter to make it look like linework with crosshatching and all that. Ill share it though cuz I thought it was pretty dope.

I was uh... really mad that another game I played didnt make enough art for it. Its a WWII style MMO, and the only propaganda pieces i could find were like really bad MSPaint over old german propaganda (also made me uncomfortable xD)

The idea with these is that the sand of sandblasted corridors is full of life, like a pseudo ocean, possesing its own plankton and such. These would be some of the larger inhabitants, about the same size as the swarmer. Whilst the terrain is easy to dig, there would be a small chance to accidently unearth one of these meanies. Large explosions like charges could potentialy spawn in more. They would not be hard to deal with, but i think it could add some nice spice to the biome.

That's just how pixel art is haha! Usually when you see pixel art people enlarge it by about 2-3x depending on the drawing, so you're not used to seeing smaller pixel art at their actual scale. Pixels are tiny!

YOOO I love this, yet again!! I'd advise to look into manga paneling or comic layouts, as this is very hard to read and have a flow (as someone who casually also draws comics and has improved over the same issue x) )

But that aside, this yet again, feels like it should be canon and has been done well! Though the contrast on metal parts here could use a little less contrast or two, in result of the filter work. x)

Hope these critic points help in any way! But those points aside, keep in mind, that this is a great comic! :D

Incoming: A little microfiction I have set in the DRG universe

Larry hated cryosleep pods.

He was freezing cold and hadn't moved his legs in months. Cryosleep was a human invention, and, unfortunately, it only really put humans to sleep. Dwarves like Larry were instead just slowed by it.

It was still beneficial. He only needed about a tenth of the oxygen and food supplies that he would have needed otherwise. The trade off was that he had to spend a few sleepless months in a coffin as it sailed through the black abyss of space.

He would have given his beard for a beer.

But, even once he got where he was going, he wouldn't get one. The elves never had anything to drink; not even a watered-down leaf lover. No, he just had to endure with water or whatever fruit juice the elves would try to offer him.

Larry wasn't a fool. He understood what was happening. Ostensibly, he was being sent on this mission as a punishment for trying to install a weapon overclock module into Lloyd, the robot bartender back at the station. However management could have punished him in less-expensive ways. Instead, they promoted a half-drunk engineer to management and fired him off on a diplomatic mission with the pointy-eared fair folk who wanted to enter into negotiations over Hoxxes.

Larry could see that he was being used tactically. He was going to arrive on their garden-station alone, dirty and irritable, with no entourage and no diplomatic skills. He was being used as an insult.

He didn't like being used. Management thought that he was predictable, and that he would effectively deliver the message that they wanted to send. What management didn't understand was that, when Larry was bored, he made plans, plotting possibilities and developing contingencies. And, sitting in that coffin, he was very, very bored.

He wasn't going to play nice with the elves, he couldn't do that, but he wasn't going to do what management wanted either. Instead, he was designing a catastrophe.

He was going to start a war.

While the Aggressor is made original, the Hovertank is based on both the Facility Hover Tank and Frederik Jeppesen's Rival Nemesis concept art. Aimed to curiously give what the Hovertank could look like.

The Aggressor is a Pentapedal (5 limbs) Drone that I made customly based on the Patrol Bot but make it like in the words "Something to best a Dwarf.". It has the same weapons as the Patrol Bot (Plasma weapon and 4 rocket launchers), but with additional weapons:
2 Burst guns from Burst Turrets to suppress the target like a Gunner (has to walk on 3 limbs).
1 Sniper weapon akin to Sniper Turrets, if using it, it has to get far away just like the Septic Spreader (Even though I made the idea of the Aggressor before Rival Escalation.) before sniping any Dwarf, bug, and infected still exposed just like a scout with M1000 Classic (Has to walk on 4 limbs).
Phase Bomb Launcher akin to the Caretaker's weapons, uses them as grenades.
Last but not least, heat-tipped jackhammers, it uses these to both dig through terrain and melee like a mad (respectively even though I do it too for why not.) Driller (has to walk on 3 limbs).
The Aggressors can range from 1 to 5 in numbers, and would be seen either naturally spawned or coming in via teleported drop pods laser-drilling in from above. They can fly, and doing so with 3 limbs folded and jackhammers out makes them a 'Rosco' in behavior. They can try to revive both other Aggressors by restarting them like we do with BET-C, and Patrol Bots by linking a tendril from one of their Jackhammer limbs to the bot's head and a hologram projected by the other limb (doing so will make them vulnerable to hacking if you were to hack the Patrol Bot with a Aggressor connected to them, getting 2 friendly bots for the price of 1 is a pretty rock and stone deal!). They fight in a squad, they die in one no different from the Dwarves, R&D will have a field day with these (They are made as a 2nd method to counter Dwaves, as while Nemesis will take out greenbeards and other early ranked Dwaves, but can't beat greybeards and other vets. Aggressors are made as a response to said greybeards and vets, with various results.)

For the Hovertank Drone, I already mentioned it earlier being based on both the Facility Hover Tank that was seen in earlier builds of Rival Incursion before it became the Rival Nemesis, and the concept art of said Nemesis by Frederik Jeppesen. As far I've seen it on video "Rival Tech Evolution" by DRG Historian, the Hovertank has a regenerating ringed shield (where the top and bottom are exposed.), and 3 engines/thrusters at the bottom that serve as weak spots to highly damage it and stop it from moving. It has 3 weapons, firing a burst of 6 rockets, and launches a plasma explosive in a arc. I don't know where the projectiles should come from, but had to make a guess by adding 2 pairs of 3 rocket launchers on each side in the front above the 'face', and giving the main gun's appeance and purpose of being the Plasma lobber. 4 additional weak points were added (4th being the rear of the tank.): the face which either kills it outright or turns off the shield permanently (the rear is the same, just still deciding which one does this and other does that.), the weak point on top of the main gun not only destroys the said gun but also expose the remaining weak point that will kill the Hovertank outright. It pretty much a Rival Tech equivalent to both Praetorian and Oppressor in terms of threat.

• Management would like to inform all DRG employees that the Ommoran Larva is an extremely high-risk asset. As the larval form of the organism which eventually crystallizes into the Ommoran Heartstone, this gargantuan creature tunnels through the crust of Hoxxes IV collecting high-purity mineral sediment to create its signature impenetrable crust- however, as Ommorans in this form are still in a developmental stage, they have a number of weak spots between their thick plates. However, those Heartstones are too valuable and scarce a resource to spare- so except in case of direct threat, Management advises all employees to leave Ommoran Larva to their own business.

I like the idea, but I would have figured that the Ommorans we drill up in escort duty were eggs or cocoons, and that the heartstone was the lithoid equivalent of the butterfly soup that comes out when you cut open a butterfly cocoon. Still a cool idea, especially the bit where management wants us to just leave them alone (not that the dwarves will)

my thinking was kind of that the organism just eventually consumes so much mineral content that it sort of lithifies and becomes incapable of movement, before eventually crystallizing into a Heartstone after who knows how long

I like the idea of the tough Ommoran armor, since it makes better sense. The creature is designed as a Salt Flats exclusive mob, like the cave angels in Azure Weald.

Attack of the naedocytes: new breeds of weird jellyfish guys showing up. Naedocyte plovers and naedocyte bastions.
Plovers were seen for a brief time in restricted areas, but evolutionary processes have developed their more unique body shape and increased their supportive abilities. Bastions are wholly unique, highly powerful grounded foes with peelable armor on their massive legs, equipped with the ability to discharge lethal amounts of electricity. Also been seen to react aggressively to nearby naedocyte shockers dying, which causes shock attacks. Very dangerous, but also probably taste different from breeders and roe. Potential culinary applications notwithstanding, just keep away from these.
