Gonna make a less wobbly stand for it later, but here's the final, properly-oriented pic! The drill head pieces can move independently, but the stand isn't sturdy enough to really support that right now.

For anyone curious: probably about 20 hours total print time between all parts, and a few hours in Blender to throw together a stand, separate the thingiverse model into 3 chunks, and fix some weird seams.

Oh, and the effective cost of the parts is probably like... $1.50? Tops? I mean sure there's initial investment to get the printer, but then most plastics to use with it are like $20 a kilo

As a person who has loved legos all their life and probably will still love them in the afterlife I just have to say. This gorgeous creation brought a tear to my eye

It took me a few days to make after deciding how to tackle the build (modular approach), making the tracks was the hardest part because I don't have the proper track bricks for it so I had to get creative to give the illusion of one large track per side (2 overlapping smaller tracks + 1 black rim and 1 whole all-in-one wheel at the front)
The drill is also a huge umbrella, being hollow inside because of weight reasons (the cross axle connecting it to the body would have to endure too much weight to not bend, so I had to compromise)

I've been working on a DRG diorama of the azure weald. Still working on the final details

I love how it's azure weald but the lighting makes it go from magma core to glacial strata

It's so hard to get a good photo of it. I've got LEDs going through out it to make some areas glow and some glow in the dark elements

But of course I can't get a photo to show any of that because it would be too dark

I just now remembered that the warden heals other bugs. Yeah, this doesn’t have anything of that. Also, while the warden will call in backup if it’s alone, my idea for this is that it would just fly up in your face and try to melee you if there aren’t any bugs to boost. Damage-wise, it wouldn’t be capable of much
