my guess is no, from what i can tell the font is not free for commercial use so we cannot use it
So why's Rift Soft Bold in there then
That conversation happened in on-boarding so I can't quote it (It's archived away long ago) but the ones we were able to use were those in the game that we found someone offering it with a licence that covered our case
I.e. compatable with (CC-BY-NC-SA-3.0)
you probably have to export it into unreal engine or blender then add it
but most textures get added easily
Damn.
But that's the thing, the only texture they use is a 'grunge' texture. Everything else is done through shaders and vertex painting
there's some textures but they're kinda odd
worse comes to worse the enemies all have in game renders in the guide terminal
I'll see if I'm able to get anything to be textured this week
https://deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg/wiki/Rogue_Core:Gauntlets I've made a page for gauntlets if someone could add it to the main page in advanced that would be good
currently it's just empty but it's the RC version of DD at least for now
I can get the models in blender but the textures are all over the place
can't find much about it online
is there any way of me changing the side bar without admin
There's some RC images that suit it better than the current DRG ones
If the template is protected, no.
If not, yes.
But if it is locked, you can always upload the images to the wiki and point them out to Cyrob.
They can do the template edit after
that might be easiest
Idk if the side bar is locked since it's not directly the main page but it's on every page
do the images themselves have the fade to black on the left or is that done by the wiki
I'm making some currently and can't find the original images used in the wiki
The side bar is a complicated template, done by Cyrob.
They'd be the one best able to explain it
The sidebar is a built-in mediawiki thing when it comes to the name/links
Our .css changes it to have this visual
cool
You have a user .css page which you can edit to override it for yourself
I can copy them to the site one later to have it apply to everyone
the sandbox page?
idk what a .css page is
It might not be for you then
But if you want to pick out background & icon images for each I can make it into the right format and do the css
nice, thanks
I'll save the original versions in case I need to edit the dimensions or make any edits
Was thinking of changing the colours to RC cyan for all the elements when on that side of thew wiki
could look good
Made these 2 as a mock-up, mostly just seeing if the size fits the sidebar before I make more/ better ones
I'll upload them
may i instead recommend #FF5400 for RC and #0066FF for survivor so it matches with the game switcher template colors?
If you could upload the assets individually I can then easily adjust them to make sure they look good
The top priority is to match the Game's UI, we can easily change the switcher to match everything else
like each part of the image?
both of those colors were picked because they matched the logos of their respective games, but if ui is the priority then its fine
Yeah, though other than 2 exceptions each of the existing ones were made a single background and icon each
Yeah the design intent with the Wiki's UI elements was to match the in-game UI of DRG in shape, style & colour
(Might keep the DRG style & shape should the be a divergence but colour imo would be good to change)
I'll stick to that then
Didn't "Beltstrom" CMP-60 used to be called Mac & Micro's MP2?
seems like it
it was named that before on the wiki then was updated to a new name
Uploaded the current ones
Got renamed in-game, same with silverback
I meant here in Discord, but I can work with those too, and I'm sure the icons will be of use elsewhere too, though you might want to rename some of them :P
Would something like this be a good addition to its page, then?
Mmm... I'm not sure? It's less interesting than the devastator's older model...
You could do it though
Well, to be fair, it is trivia. Might also be good to have in case anybody who knew it by that name goes looking for it.
Was the name changed in Update 06, though?
During one of the Alpha 6 updates if memory serves me right
imo Trivia is the place to put info about something that does not really fit anywhere else on the page
So go for it
Update 0.6.2, found it
- Updated the MP2 name and description, it is now the Beltstrom CMP-60
How's this read, then?
I can sill upload them here if it's easier
they're just in a folder
For any other ones you have in mind please do
Was the Silverback's name also changed in 0.6.2?
Alright, I won't add the old name trivia on its page yet, then.
Just a heads-up, though, these two images are placeholders I grabbed/edited from the Development Diaries. Can anyone with alpha access replace them with their in-game icons?
TBF beltstrom fits. Silverback is weird though
Yeah, I think that's the only clean image of the Silverback they've released outside of the game.
The angle on the Belstrom is more fitting, but it's not as fancily-lit as the in-game icons. Plus, it'd be best for the imagery on the wiki to mirror what's actually in the game, wouldn't it?
these seem good for upgrades, creatures and equipment
These are the best that fit in the files, not sure if equipment really needs a new one
LOL DUDE, the file showcasing the battle rifle in-game has Nvidia shadowplay showing in the bottom right. But it'll do for now
Well I will be making a "New" one for all of them to have RC colours anyway so go for it
That's from Ghost Ship's video: https://youtu.be/kuY4EM7e6g4
Ye ye, I know
It'll probably have to be rerecorded at one point tho, unless that's not an issue
I've put in a lot worse of place holders in my area
I was mainly trying to catalog media from the Dev Diaries, but if anyone is able to record a better showcase, they're welcome to replace that one.
If you want to archive stuff you can always add it to the update history on the wiki
Though if there's not already a image/video for something it's always better than nothing
It was a bit of css and asset making but now Rogue core (& RC talk) namespaces have a custom colour theme, all DRG orange should now be RC Blue
I've not touched the custom sidenav images just yet but I did replace the generic one
The blue looks nice
Until we're able to get the enemy textures I'll use the guidebook renders for them
If you mean for rogue core, there is a way to get the 3D models atm using FModel, but not with their colors.
Getting the full textures with that at a later point is extremely unlikely.
Yeah, we've tried
I have the 3d models using Fmodel/ Umodel just the textures are all finnicky
Yeah they are materials rather than textures for the most part
Oh won't somebody from GSG save us... 👀
Page for enemies is almost done untill more is added
needs a bit more info but all the enemies are there
mainly hp and weakpoint locations
Flavor text? In MY soup?
It's more likely than you think.
FREE OMEGA CHECK!
xd
Wait, did you read what I wrote?
OH LMAO, Sealo you copied my draft fully, didn't you?
Lol
Oop, nah. Some flavour text got added and most enemies too
Nice one
You can find the health scaling and value in the files. If you could access the images, you should have access to this as well.
The health and scaling can be found in Content/Enemies/…
Search for EnemyHealthScaling and MaxHealth in the ENE_XXX files.
The scaling can be found in Content/GameElements/Difficulty/…
This is what the different scaling meant for DRG for reference:
No Scaling (NoScaling / SimpleHealthComponent) # Lootbugs, breakable decord
Normal Enemy Resistance (SmallEnemyDamageResistance) # Grunts…
Large Enemy Resistance (EnemyDamageResistance) # Preats, Spittball, most special enemies
Boss Resistance (ExtraLargeEnemyDamageResistance) # Dreads
Korlok Resistance (ExtraLargeEnemyDamageResistanceB)
Omen Resistance (ExtraLargeEnemyDamageResistanceC)
Elite Resistance (ExtraLargeEnemyDamageResistanceD)```
oh thanks
yep
I forgot to add XP detonator to the enemies
the DRG drones also need to be added
@shell frigate would these be good for the Reclaimer side bar?
I would want them on a background (DRG's are images that came with one) but that's easy to add if you can think of a suitable background, but standalone they probably could also be used on the main page (if the black background is made transparent)
All Side Nav elements also have some background
(The left side black fade is added by me on all of them it makes the text mode readable)
@noble violet Each of the sidebar elements are one whole image, they aren't panels with an image.
oh I was too zoomed out to see it, there's some cave images I can see what would work
Does not have to be cave based, that just how the asset is in DRG, iirc it's from the miner's manual for each class
Just fitting but not visual distracting (though I can always darken it to make it less so)
I'll look for something class specific then
background free, not too sure what would be good for the background currently
A darkened image of the Ramrod I'd say
out of curiosity, where are these coming from ? 👀
games files, they're the new images for the daily challenges and stuff I believe
RogueCore/Content/UI/MeritTerminal/Assets/Tasks Arctic gets credit for finding it
Deployments
I'd love to have the full art so we can finally replace the janky ones in each of the Reclaimers' pages
could replace the current ones with these for now
I think the artwork on these look better than the 3d render
Sure
enemies appear to scale overtime in RC, number of enemies spawns at least
no clue if I'm blind but I can't find it here, I found some info but not direct stats, I'm going to scan every file for it lol
Could do something with this in a moment.
Or not, seems someone already doing it.
I just don't have the hours in RC to pick out suitable assets (only recently got access to it), but with them I can put stuff together
I could get a background for some stuff real quick.
Go ahead, nothing's been done yet
In progress but something like this should be fine, any thoughts?
Give it a back fade-out on the left side, like this one
Like this..?
The Fade:
Guess Discord ingores Alpha in clipboard
But I do have the setup to make them all uniform, it's just I don't trust myself to pick the right assets to use
Aye
Which font?
The ones used on the sideviews
Rift Soft Bold
Don't put it in the image though, the text is added in the wiki
I assumed as much
Looks good
Just picking one example.
MaxHealth should almost always be there.
Scaling may not be there as it will often use the default value (which should be SmallEnemyDamageResistance scaling I think, so the grunt equivalent for DRG).
If you want to search them in bulk, export the enemy folder in json and search it using a code editor.
For the scaling, there should be 3 cases for RC:
- Nothing in the file > default to
SmallEnemyDamageResistance "EnemyHealthScaling": "EEnemyHealthScaling::ExtraLargeEnemy">EnemyDamageResistance"EnemyHealthScaling": "EEnemyHealthScaling::LargeEnemy">ExtraLargeEnemyDamageResistance
When looking at the scaling numbers in the difficulty file, there will be 4 files named DFC_BXE_H4_AXXX
The last number should be the depth.
For each scaling, first number is solo, second is two players…
The other lines are remnants of the DRG code and aren’t used (for now at least).
Alright thanks, I'll take another look when I get home
I can't seem to find it in the ENE file even with the search tool, not sure if it's an issue with my Fmodel setup or a new PAK file, I'll try to get it working
the resistance lines don't appear either
Has anyone found the full actual render art of the reclaimers yet?
Nope
Their full render is not in the files it seems, unfortunate.
Same deal here, I can't see the MaxHealth property
But i can do something still..
Go into the settings and use a custom mapping file, try this one and see if you have all the data now.
Other than that, just setting it to the UE5.6 version should be all you need.
Oh yeah, the mapping did the trick
@noble violet use that one
You need to update that file from time to time.
If you don’t know how to do it, I can explain or I can give you an updated one if it ever stop working later on.
Do tell
nice thank you
that's probably easiest
Hmm
You need to use UE4SS to create the mapping file.
It needs to have a couple settings changes so the console is enable and the UE version is set the 5.6
Then when you launch the game, you will have a console where you can select a button to export the umap file.
looks good, but put their icon to the right, just how it looks in the drg wiki
Already on that
The files need to be put in the …Deep Rock Galactic RogueCore\RogueCore\Binaries\Win64\ folder.
You should have a ue4ss folder and a dwmapi.dll file.
For the settings that matters:
[EngineVersionOverride]
MajorVersion = 5
MinorVersion = 6
…
[Debug]
; Whether to enable the external UE4SS debug console.
ConsoleEnabled = 1
GuiConsoleEnabled = 1
GuiConsoleVisible = 1```
If you want to disable it later, renaming the dll or disabling the console in the settings are the easier way.
The window you care about is the UE4SS debugger window.
Go to the Dumpers tab and select `Generate .usmap file` be sure to be at least in the main menu of the game for it to work properly.
The file will then be generated in the `ue4ss` folder and you can move it wherever you want.
You should have all the info, ping me if you have issues with it or need me to send the files for ue4ss (will send them in private then).
would you be able to add a black outline to the icons? It makes them stick out a bit more
works perfectly now thanks
the wiki shall grow
Ehh falconeer's icon a lil bit too big.
Looks good
Retcon's icon is getting kinda lost in that image, but it's still very visible
Yea i feel like the square do a better job at it with more visibility but the outline ones just makes it nicer
Here's all the Sideviews i have done so far, i'll get Spotter and guardian done later.
Actually hold on
Yea green just makes it easier to see it
Tentacles can be killed with any gun the more ya know
There are 2 tentacles in those images
old one is probably still in the files
It could very well be reused, it was fine
Minus the model and textures but that's fixable
could have killable tentacles spawn before the invincible ones
I'm porting over the DRG Haz table but changing it for Depth
it'll get moved to to a different page later but for now it'll be in Enemies
Shouldn't it be in the missions page since it actually mentions depth?
I can place it there sure
Guardian is my new favourite one
I need to change it to use the new elemental icons but I'll probably keep this layout
it takes 200% more elemental effect judging by the 2.0 it has for everything and 0.0 being the standard
That's really goddamn good
I have this for the Workbench at the moment
currently only done on Guardian and a little on spotter
eh I like this more now
If someone could add Gauntlets to advanced on the main page that would be great,https://deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg/wiki/Rogue_Core:Gauntlets, File:Gauntlet Icon.png,
the icons already uploaded
much appreciated
Why is the subata tranq stun time still not mentioned on the wiki
It only mentions the hidden slow time of 50% for 4 seconds
I already reported this once
I have never edited a wiki in my life, so I'm scared I'm gonna mess up something or just get too confused if I try
if you're just editing text then you can just write/ remove what you want easily
you can rollback the page if you make a mistake but you won't dw
idk what page you're editing but this is my one, 90% text file
it already said chance to stun on hit but now it says for 6 seconds, I'm assuming the in game description lines up with the second image, I have not used the gun in eons
Ty so much

if you know what the chance for the stun to trigger is I can add it
not sure if it'll save the Tranq but it's something
50%
I'm not 100% sure
But it stunned about 50% of the time in my testing
close enough
if someone finds it in the files they can just edit the 50 to whatever it is
you for the full versions of these artworks?
like the whole body?
I don't have them and I believe they haven't been shown off yet, the 5 I posted were the ones added in the recent update
okay fair enough
I'm thinking the timer icon could be good for the missions Icon on the main page since it's present for every standard mission
the Skull for bosses when they're summoned could also be good but I don't have that rn so I haven't uplaoded it
I do wonder if this timer icon is gonna get changed since the tentacle guys had a new redesign
True, they have a lot more facial features now then they used to
There's also the general swarm icon but that's a bit odd in shape
So the devil skull might be better
It could change but I feel like, as it stands, it leaves a clear message that they are tentacle-like
they could just add more detailing to the heads but I like how it looks currently even if it's not exactly how they look currently
I made some mockups for elemental resistance but I have 0 clue how to make it work like the DRG ones do
Currently I'm just using the drg icons since they automatically do it
Just take a look at the resistance template to see how it works
I tried
it makes no sense but I might end up just doing trial and error
I get the gist of it
iirc it is two images combined with a small offset set via css, the offset being the same for all of them.
That template would be the best one to learn how to recreate something similar.
The css in question is hardcoded in the template.
https://deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg/wiki/Template:Icon_overclock_full
@noble violet
For DRG I think they all call this template: https://deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg/wiki/Template:Resistance
Where they are all single images
How i put the customized backgrounds of the rogue core characters that i made?
I have not used the wiki in ages so i had to make a new account for it
I think you need admin
I'm using this one currently
I need to make a new one for the RC resistance though
All the icons are updated and I think they look better now
I did make some css ready for it (but not apply it as it would just be a broken image)
You upload them (https://deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg/wiki/Special:Upload) With a **Name ** in the patten of SideNavBG-Spotter-RC.png
a File Description of [[Category:Wiki skin images]]
and Licensing of "This is from the game..." (As it uses game assets)
And afterwards I'll update the .css to make them appear on the sidebar
If you want you can also just ask someone here to do such
I'll look into the resistance icons more tomorrow
almost done with the Missions/Gauntlet difficulty scaling
I uploaded one of the SideNav of Retcon, i should of done that correctly methinks
looks right to me
I could put the new css on, the other will be empty until uploaded though
Or do it bit by bit you would just have to let me know each time
Could do, yeah
I have uhh uploaded two of them.
Alright, I'll ping you when I update the .css
Uploaded the last one.
Of course
what constitutes an Overclock or Modification as being 'unique' for the base game's wiki?
Absolute rock and stone
Should you want to update the images there is a button on their page to upload a new version and such changes will apply immediately (*Hard-refresh may be needed to clear your browsers cache) without me needing to change the .css
Thats ideal, cheers.
np
Those that have more details than their in-game element shows
thank you.
Ts looks so good
Sideview Resources
Sideview Creatures
Should give the crawler an outline or something
Hmm, I think there was a crawler skull as danger icon at one point before being replaced with tentacles?
That could work... unless I'm misremembering it and it was Jon's concept
Yeah, that was Jon's concept
Sideview Upgrades
No idea the relevancy but might be interesting to someone:
The numbers are relation to the enumerator index.
Host cave generation order:
Pass 0: (Server) Generate Graph [0] > send room data to self.
Pass 0: (All) Initial Carve [1] > (Server) Generate Tunnels [9] > (All) Carve Tunnels [10] > (All) Pre Placement Carvers [11]
Pass 1: (All) Critical Items Large [14] > (All) Critical Items Small [12]
Pass 2: (All) Special Events [2]
Pass 3: (All) Large Carvers [4]
Pass 4: (All) Veins [3]
Pass 5: (Server) Items, Encounters and Instant Carvers [5]
Pass 6: (All) Generate Missing Resources [13]
Pass 7: (All) Small Carvers [7]
Pass 6: (All) Debris [8] Yes, another pass 6 and after pass 7.
Client cave generation order while loading in with the host after receiving room data:
Pass 0: (All) Initial Carve [1] > (All) Carve Tunnels [10] > (All) Pre Placement Carvers [11]
Pass 1: (All) Critical Items Large [14] > (All) Critical Items Small [12]
Pass 2: (All) Special Events [2]
Pass 3: (All) Large Carvers [4]
Pass 4: (All) Veins [3]
Pass 5: (Client) Instant Carvers [6]
Pass 6: (All) Generate Missing Resources [13]
Pass 7: (All) Small Carvers [7]
Client Pass 5 differs from host to be enum 6 instead of 5. Might include Pass 6: (All) Debris [8] but my first query did not contain it.
There's an old skull for the danger icon, not sure if it's meant to be a crawler's
alt view for host
anyone know the corespawn bruisers name in the files?
trying to find its resistance
looks like it
Seems like it.
Should be under corespawn > Tank folder then.
That one is tankboss I think?
Will try to check in FModel 10min or so, finishing something first.
I don't see the bruiser having more hp than the other corespawn, they're decently common and pretty squishy
I'm crying 😭 , extra large enemy resistance and 1500% extra elemental damage
what's the point of making it scale more
Creeper: Creeper
Bruiser: Creeper > Warrior
Vanguard: Creeper > Vanguard
Scorcher: Scorcher
Crawler: Crawler
Edgetalker: Tallboy
Clamorhead: Tank
Just double checked it since it seemed weird, but I do see the same thing yes… 15 times more damage with most elements.
Not sure if heat and cold is for temperature or cold/fire for RC though, did you check that?
I haven't but all enemies have it the same from what I've seen so far
I will check if the name match the one for DRG at least.
If not it is worth checking it it match the damage type for the weapon or not.
None of the PST (PawnStats) name match the one in DRG and in DRG it was called PST_FireResistance and PST_ColdResistance (heat was for temperature), but the good news is that it looks like they created new pawn stats specifically for rogue core so it is probably right.
If you know a weapon with fire damage / cold or temperature damage, I can check that later, but it should be fine since they made a custom set of pawn stats just for rogue core and they are the one being used.
I know shock striker and the stubby have built in electricity
not sure on other stats rn
Well if you think of another one with a fix element or temperature, be it a weapon or enemy attack, just le me know and I will check what the variable is called.
it took me until I completed the resistance table for each depth and player number to realise it's all the same
I truly am a dumbass lol
that's almost all of the numerical data added to the wiki at least until new content is added so that's nice
Oh, this is nice
reclaimers line up really well
The ramrod and equipment could use a different icon colour though, the reds a bit hard to see
looks really good though
I have been cooking alot with these.
Equipment is always subject to change but for the ramrod i could change the ramrod color to green to make it clearer.
I tried to find the outline version of the weapons that they use in the inventory hud but they don't seem to be in the game files or i just haven't looked hard enough.
RogueCore > Content > UI > Art > Icons > Icons_Gear
Everything in game is in the files some things are in odd locations but they're all there
I know barely anyone's interested, but I've added Rogue Core shortcut for my domain https://rc.deeprock.wiki/ and the userscript https://github.com/imDaniX/deep-rock-wiki
I know that DRG is 10x times worse on that but Rogue Core is tolerable rn
Most games are pretty bad since it's added to overtime and there's not much point for devs to make it easier to navigate for modders
The enemy locations are kinda wack, the code names make some enemies seem like different ones
I literally had no idea Lark was on the image for about 10 seconds
I think you should just have a weapon outline as the icon on the right
Yeah, reverse the outlines and in-game models
I was thinking the whole weapon outline being visible but that also looks nice
It's now easier to get at least
That does look nice, feels kinda empty compared to the previous ones, but I hope text will fill it in
Aye
I like this one more
Us building the wiki (we don't even have a proper render of the Reclaimers)
Yeah (I literally recoloured already existing images and asked sealo to add them)
I don't even know what I'm doing I just write and upload
I've done like 3 pages though so that's pretty good
Why doesn't my gif work
Epic imbed fail
Icl at least the boring scaling stuff is done mostly
No longer have to search text files for some numbers that don't always make sense
I would desaturate & brighten it to the point it's a white outline
Seems good
Oh yeah this is quite a beauty
That’s good
Would the reclaimer Badge be good for missions?
trying to find the Site Alteration icons and came across it
Found the in game ones, yippe
Added a new Icon thingy for RC resistance I need to finish up with the 2 new ones and explosive but I think they look better than the old ones
I think admin is needed to delete images, I uploaded some resistance icons a few days ago but I've uploaded new ones with a different name and description the mockup ones are all duplicates
All the ones with mockup in the name?
Done
If Cyrob is not around, feel free to ping me when you need a wiki admin.
@shell frigate can you do the following 3 changes:
1: add the base DRG wiki main page to the sidebar and make it show only for the RC and survivor namespaces
2: merge my css at https://deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg/wiki/User:Zurel/vector.css
3: merge my js at https://deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg/wiki/User:Zurel/vector.js
these changes should make the wiki logo in the top right automatically change to the survivor and RC logos and make clicking them redirect you to their respective main pages when in their namespaces
Sure, though I'll have to make an image for such so I'll hold off on it till I do, but it should be before the end of the week
if you mean images for the sidebar buttons then i already made some:
Honestly maybe we should do something more than just the white text "wiki" but I never managed anything that felt better
Does not have game logo / or element thereof
And I'd rather have more image than 40% empty space
Other wiki links:
I'm fine to make it, I'm just really busy in this moment
This is what I'm thinking for it
I think it looks good
the text might be too small to see in the side bar but that could also just be my page size
As long as people can recognise it they don't need to be able to read it
yh true
yeah better than what i made
All applied with some standardisation of the sidenav too
Your Js will not take effect on talk pages, but I don't that's too major, they are very rarely used as we have this channel
do we even have any rogue core talk pages?
I haven't opened a talk page
never had a reason to
if it said "DRG: Rogure Core" would the text be too long?
Survivor has 6 https://deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg/wiki/Special:PrefixIndex?prefix=&namespace=5001, RC none
Do hard refresh (Ctrl Shift R) for the CSS to take effect
It would fit, iirc it was just as people call it Rogue core
I think it would look better if they all started with DRG compared to just the first 2
Rogure Core is the most common name though
You weill only ever see two of them at once
oh and cyrob looking at common.js i realize i accidentally used Rogue Core instead of Rogue_Core in the namespaceArray on line 30 if you could quickly fix that (the underscore to make the namespace searchbar work)
oh I see
reloaded my browser
this can be updated now
Done
done
Never mind I found a new folder with numbers lol
I've uploaded Rogue Core Elevator 02.png and Icon Expenite Nodule.png for the main page, the icons for advanced events and side objectices are placeholders rn so these seem better
elevator is for side objectives and expenite is for events
Would Enhancements fall under upgrades? Planning to add what each of them do but not sure where to write it, upgrades at the moment has only in mission upgrades and enhancements are apart of loadouts
Sounds like they should be a separate page then
I'll just make a loadout page then for Enhancements and Bio booster selection
If there are any sideviews to be added, i'm up for making more backgrounds!
The only one left is new page, though it being blank is quite fitting
However Survivor does not actually really have any custom images (other than overview) so you could go through all of those if you want
If so best coordinate with them in their #1207284420134830100
I should actually give them some nice sideviews
I do like Survivor so i shall contribute to it
I thought of that aswell + it's also blank in the DRG wiki
Having the new Dwarf models on the side bar for Survivor would be nice
When the big reset happens I'll add in the security clearance for everything, I imagine some things will change in EA/ full release but not everything
When making the coloured icons is the colour values found somewhere in the files or are the colours just taken from screenshots
most of them are already coloured by people but Corrosive is missing and I want to add it
Hex code found in files
thanks
Everyday the wiki gets closer to being complete, at least until a major update
It has all the important stuff now which is nice, mostly missing the extra info and a few weapons/ utility
Indeed
Bunch of stuff just got changed
I'll update the enemies but can't do the rest rn (mainly gun and upgrade changes)
The wiki work never ends
is anyone here a big shot over at the RC wiki?
Wdym by big shot
someone who is an admin or contributes alot to it 🙂
I've added a lot to RC, nothing to DRG or Survivor
I have contributed on most of the sideview backgrounds for RC and Survivor wikis.
I was just looking into a bunch of dead links, but it was just pages that wasnt populated with anything yet 🙂
I'm one of the Admins, there is a special page listing all dead links
RC is missing a lot at the moment since the game isn't out yet
They're getting added overtime though
Yes, perfectly normal. Thank you for contributing btw 🙂 all 3 of you.
No worries there's quite a few people adding to the wiki which is nice
The wiki overall (including DRG, Survivor & RC) has 1383 wanted pages (aka dead links)
That's a lot
Tracking it down one major source (For RC) is the Upgrades page, the image for each upgrade also links to a page with the upgrade name
:D
Huh? That's weird
Then it must all of the icons, even those for reclaimers, that are creating them
yeah it's part of the RogueCore_Icon template
I'll do the needed tweak on the tables
Another cause might be our game switcher template
But both are just clogging up the special page than causing issues for Wiki users
I have updated all the classes with their new render visual and it's very good
Also added the earlier spotter mockup image.
A lot of RC ones come from the creatures as well, they all will get pages for some day but for now they're just the important stats
would like to add spawn size and spawn conditions to it but I need to find out more about spawn logic first
the game switcher uses the #ifexist function to check if a page exists or not, it does not ever generate dead links. despite this, it turns it it still populates the wanted pages list due to a ~15 year old bug, so most wanted pages are probably there because of it
not sure if these were here before but there's now in game images for every XP event
@raven kestrel if you still need them
just did this for the new update and worked wonders thanks
took me a minute to get the right version of the UE4SS
does anyone have a download for all the upgrades icons? rather than having to grab them all individually from the wiki
I can make it into a zip file
They're all in a category in the wiki but I don't believe you can download them all at once for it
Oh wait you already made the tier list lol I'm late
I've finished with all the weapons (except lead storm for 5 minutes), I skipped the small weapon summary parts of most the guns I added so if anyone wants to do it I wrote which are missing in the discussions page. I'm not going to do it anytime soon since I'd rather add all the grenades and traversal tools first
anyone got clean versions of the class icons and the 3 class skills each has?
everything on the wiki is small and in WEBP
the wiki should have all of them as .png
these are how they are in the file
https://deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg/wiki/Category:RogueCore_Class_Icons same for class icons
if you click on them it lets you download the original file if it's coming up as a webp for some reason
perfect, thanks
i am going to assume that the demolisher's weapons are still being worked on?
Thats something to discuss in the DRG:S Discord server but some have been published.
ah, alright, sorry, just joined the DRG:S server
Elis does in fact scale indefinitely in XP cost unlike before, game has a soft cap of 700 but that's too much to reach in a normal game
Who added this ramrod png? It's very small
yh me
I could make it longer but the height is hard
the Ramrod is a lot more rectangular than the Space Rig
Could just take a picture of it in DRG (although they didn't color it correctly or well afaik).
Or if desperate I can provide my modded version that is quite a ways more fleshed out.
I had another image before but it had the same issue
Something like that? Or I can try to make it have a black or blue background of just the ship.
No need, just give me a few.
cool, thanks
Hopefully it might have a decent angle somewhere. 😅
And just as a disclaimer this is a heavily modified version of the official one in DRG but I tried to make it as lore accurate as I could. I think red was used for it in the past but it may have changed by now. The lighting is custom as well to fit in better with my diorama environment.
The built in / official hull text is much smaller and shares the UV Map with some other important part. Since my modded version moves around with Hoxxes I made the name much more visible.
The official one outside the Space Rig is, well, a bit unfinished and has lots of visual holes into the model.
Example of my use case:
I like the straight ones the most but I think it needs to be angled for it to fit well
Is that something that you can do or do I need to adjust?
Hey, how should the key art of Falconer's drone be represented on her page? Should it just be in her gallery?
My kinda radical idea is to make a composite of both her and her drone's key art to serve as the page's main image, with the separate images being in her gallery. What do y'all think?
In the meantime, I'll save this project file, since I got the drone almost identically proportional to her as seen in the full key art.
I'm not 100% sure what you mean but you can always try it and see if it looks good
Seems a good fit
Oh i should of done that
Good catch
Go ahead
@noble violet Could you add a description to the changes you're doing? It's pretty difficult to tell with the high amount of changes you're adding constantly
oh yh sure
mostly just adding new stuff and changing old values
I'm trying to add the new breadcrumb stuff for the equipment I'm adding but it only seemed to work for HE grenade, rest all come up as the same error. Anyone know why?
This uses the cargo tables system, so there is either another template calling the table into format or maybe a need to rebuild the table (admin only action).
Cyrob is the one that created this system, they probably will have more insight
Tables only need to be rebuilt when changing the columns in some way, not the rows (each entry)
Error seems to be correct; there is no rogue_core:tactical_Leadburster in the table
I shouldn't of used Leadburster I didn't add that yet but I have done Cryo and cluster
I copy and pasted the name so I don't understand the error
The page "Rogue Core:Cryo Grenade" needed a cache purge
Since you added it to the database afterwards it did not know to update (it would do so by itself eventually) purge cache forces it to immediately
The only thing your browser caches is CSS, and a hard refresh purges that cache
I need to fix this though, probably from me not adding a _
If it does not fit, shorten it
You can do tricks with anchors if you think more info is needed
I just took the grenade off all of them
I'll make an edit showing what I meant
I've split up the data onto different pages for each namespace, should make it a bit easier to edit
nice
With Grenades linking to Rogue_Core:Equipment#Grenades a section of a page rather than it's own page, but breadcrumbs will see it as it's own page
Oh sweet
Is that for each section like weapons and traversal? I can't check currently
You could set such up for each section
I put grenades into their own little subsection, what is in there is all you would need to do
It is also used on DRG to have weapons list the given dwarf as a parent to equipment (as equipment is actually Equipment#Driller here)
I will do that
Would help on some other sections like for missions as well
is there any way or purging the cache of the whole weapons table or does it have to be done one by one
The pages using data from the table?, just one at a time iirc but they will eventually do it themselves
alright I'll probably wait then since it's for everything in equipment
I have some extra info on Pit Jaws that may be useful for the wiki. Should I post here or a dm be better?
You can speed up that kind of thing by using AWB (auto wiki browser) to do blank edit.
It is still one page at a time, but it can be done a lot faster and it auto search the page based on the criteria you want (template used, what links here, category…).
If you're able to you can make an account with just an email and edit whatever you want basically, most info is just text blobs
It's not as hard as it sounds to edit it
I'll see if the wiki auto updates in a day or two if not I'll try this out
I still need to add in the last half of grenades and 3/5 traversal tools
If/when you want to try AWB:
Options:Preferences > Site
Project: custom
https:// deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg/
File: Log in/Profiles:
Fill in your wiki profile and pwd (if you plan to use it often, it may be better to create a bot account linked to your profile, but just to try it it isn’t worth it).
Options: Apply changes automatically > unchecked for blank edits / checked for normal edits.
On the bottom left:
Source: Category
Category: Rogue_Core_weapons
Click on Make List that should create the list of page to modify.
Then go to the start tab on the bottom.
Click start.
If you agree with the change, click save, it will go to the next page, if not click skip.
Doing blank edit that way should take 1-2s per page once you are used to it.
You can ask it to do it automatically in the bot tab, once you are really sure you set up the software properly.
For blank edits, no changes should be visible.
Alright thanks, I'd assume for me it's Rogue_Core_weapons but I'll have a look later
Well if it is for the rogue core weapon category, then yes.
If you want pages that use a template, it is the what transclude here selector.
Fair enough, I'll see what I can do
Cool
I won't be able to work on the wiki as much in the next month or two so I'll try and finish up everything I've started working on in the new few days
Hoxxes and Ramrod page probably won't be done by me since I'd rather work on the other areas first
I hope this is the right place to ask since its been a question on my mind for some time, and drg chat is kinda "funny" at times
What is the theoretical max damage one can achieve in a drg mission
In the mission ?
No real limit since there is no time limit.
In a single hit ?
A couple thousand at least with The Mole on the coilgun and a prepared terrain
I forgot to mention in a single hit, my bad
Could ifgs and maybe marked for death if it stacks, play a part in it
Sure, but at some point, you are limited by the mob's health pool.
Last try (a few years back), we one shot a bulk in H4P4, so 5200HP.
There is no upper limit on the number of walls you can cross with that OC, so no real ceiling.
You can ofc multiply with ifg, debuffs on the mobs, etc
this is my current mock-up for a RC enemy damage table, I don't think there's any better way to make it without taking up the whole page. Unlike DRG there's 2X the scaling factors so I think I need to make the table wide and have 4 pieces of data in each section
it's this or 4 tables and that would look worse
Interactive elements can be done with modules which could also be a way of solving such
is that where you're able to scroll to view the whole thing?
More have buttons or sliders to change the values displayed
Well we could do such already with tabber, just a different table in each tab
But with a lot more effort it can be done very cleanly
for now I'll keep it as the big table since I need to add in a lot of values but after I'll look into adding tabs
I'll probably have one for each player count or for each mission type depending on what's easier to make
I might just have to make it a bigger size, the ramrod being mostly horizontal makes it hard to fit in at its current width
Oh my God... tiny ramrod
I think it's a little bigger
Heya, is any of you @here started already on Rogue Core's Accessories page?
that pings the whole server btw
but what I'm aware of no, most the work has been done on the gameplay stuff rn
That doesn't actually send the ping, but it does timeout the one trying
it doesn't timeout anymore
¯_(ツ)_/¯
does the wiki contributor role let you send gifs
I was more interested in gif sending
If abused it can be taken away
I mean yh it's a role
oh wait embed perms are gif perms I'm stupid
can I get the Wiki role I got almost 1K edits if that means anything
The more someone pushes for it the hard it will be to get
This is like the first I've mentioned it
It's was a warning, I would call this twice and most editors don't at all
Could export lots of voicelines
It took me days to sort it out with DRG Survivor and made like 400+ edits.
Maybe specific enemy voicelines methinks
Cool name and pfp btw, i love the cute little glorp seal! :D
I think he was just curious! i dont do wiki stuff but 1k contributions do seem like a lot! As a translator just wanted to wish yall from the wiki a good luck! How does one add to the wiki? when the game comes out id love to contribute :>
<3
🔥 🤟
you can make an account with an email then edit whatever you want, the only things you can't straight away is some locked pages like the main page
thanks xd, it's from w33nus not me though he makes art
OOOO gotcha! Thanks Sealo will do! :D <3
When i get acess to the game ksksksk do tell me how the alphas goin! you like the game? What have youbeen adddig to the wiki? :D
AWWW CUTE!!!! Hope yall are good friends, nice to meet you man! I love your have a good day status, gave me a right smile! :)
🫀
Being a long term editor is the main requirement for the role, we don't set any particular numbers
mostly numbers and stuff, but I've written the missions and gauntlets pages since they seemed important to add early
If you need technical assistance / know-how for anything editing related here or the wiki.gg discord is the place to ask
I see cool! Hope Sealo continues being a part of the comunity and gets there! :D
Really isnt much info about this so i was very curious just like he was ksksks
the wiki page are mostly text files that you edit, easier than it seems
OOO YOOO!!!! THATS AWESOME!!! IM DEFF GONNA USE THOSE LMAO KSKSKS well dont wanna cloud this chat but thanks for the talk man you seem sick! :D <3
Aww cool! Keep at it man, wanna see you with a blue badge next yo name! >:D <3333

xd thanks maybe later down the line
-# ( I THOUGHT THE CRAFTING THING WAS REAL FOR TOO LONG MAN 😭 😭 😭 )
I clicked on it first ages ago but I saw stuff like Uranium rank and pissy wissy ore and realised I was on fandom then looked for the wiki gg one lol
P-Pissy what? God i never looked at any pages besides the crafting one ohmy KSKSSKSMLKSKS well glad ive learned and you have too, now doing work for the REAL WIKI! GOOD WORK MAN! >:D
🗣️ 🔥 🤟
if you want to add stuff from the files I can tell you how when the game releases but if you just want to write about stuff you can see from playing in game you don't need to do that
I have been importing alot of Rogue Core voicelines to the wiki but i can't seem to find specific voicelines related to the other corespawns (like edgestalker, clamorheads) for the male dwarf.
Oh i see now.
Interesting that the female dwarf has the voicelines of picking classes like guardian, slicer and spotter. I wonder if they are considering to add a gender swap or i guess they tried to.
Could also be they weren't sure who to make a female at first, originally Falconer was going to be a male before they decided for her to be a female
True, yeah
Alright going for the classes voicelines now.
Probably a remix of pre-alpha build, when they hadn't found a female VA yet, so all voice lines were done by the male VA, including male ones
You can confidently ignore those
I'll still save these for future stuff.
All of the reclaimers have their class selected voiceline on them now.
I like the table it looks good
it's odd hearing the Reclaimers all speak at the same pitch
Finished spotter voicelines related to it's abilities.

All the reclaimes have their related abilities now
Been doing this for the whole night, i'll do the creatures next later so its all ready for early access. I need some rest. (I'm really tired rn lol)
A lot of audio files
The creature pages need a lot of work at some point, currently it's just the miners manual description and their damage in the table
Good luck on that
I'll get around to it some time
Well time to add the creatures voicelines related.
Core Spawn Crawler has been done with male and female voicelines on them.
Alright, most of the creatures that had their callouts have been done except the Bosses which i should be doing.
sweet
Actually forgot about the shatterclaws which i just gave them the voicelines.
I'll do them later
There is so many voicelines my goddd
the wiki grows
much appreciated for doing Coopers upgrade table, GoldMath
that was one of the main things missing for EA
Yeah that’s it. It doesn’t take long to record the other classes so we did that just to be safe
lol, cool!
Interesting
Small change to the Side view Page Information background. Keeping up the Reclaimer icon to the new one.
@ruby cedar It seems that Spile-Pump event was removed from the game, they are not even in reclaimer handbook no more.
Unsure if they will bring it back
Really?
Nevermind, scratch that
It was just like very rare to spawn for some reason
I have not seen it in my 20 hours of playtime mark lol
thank you
still first good we got a wiki channel though.
Welcome to your new home, wiki stuff!
I'm currently reformatting the class upgrade tables, I'm considering making everything centred like what I did with the weapons tables
Also, has anyone decided what to do with the weapons tables? It's a bit weird to have images for the upgrades table, but not the main weapons/equipment one.
Off the top of my head, I had a couple of "solutions":
- Add smaller icons in a different style (probably white/grey to match the hotbar while in a mission)
- Move the orange icons to the weapons/equipment table and have just weapon labels for upgrades
- In addition to this, add the upgrade icons for each upgrade so it's not totally barren.
Or just paste the orange icons right onto the equipment table, but that's boring and also somewhat redundant.
I'm not sure I understand what you're going for
I'd say the second solution would work out better
you'd have to get the upgrade icons of course
not sure if I want to make pages for each game mode or not
I already have all the icons, it's just a matter of exporting and uploading them.
You could make a combined mission type page first
Then branch it out later if we have enough information
But it's not exactly a dedicated page
It'd probably be a good idea if we stop making new additions to that page all together.
I think most of its content could be on seperate pages, fleshed out a bit more
Then we can just transclude a portion of it back onto the guide
So it updates when the main article does
I'm making it now
Oh by the way, @gritty bear, I was reading up on general Wiki conventions, and the minor edit tag should be reserved for extremely minor edits. Things like spelling/grammar mistakes, basically anything that no-one would object to being changed.
Leave wiggle room for future changes, those upgrades may drastically change
Yea, that was one of the reasons I didn't immediately go with the upgrade icon idea
I was thinking about making the table for creatures verrtical, allowing us to easily add on new enemies and creatures
We could also have sperate tables that then could become collapsable or have heading like the image here ^
What do you guys think?
Health and damage also change with difficulty, so you should probably add that the listed values are for Hazard 2
Yeah
I was gonna add how enemies scale to the page
I'm just prototyping this right now
I did write in as base health for 1 of them
I know
It was more to demonstrate before I changed it
I wanted to know if you guys thought it was a good idea b4
We could also just remove all the summary information entirely and just link to individual creature pages
That seems to be how some other wikis do it
Though, the wikis I was looking at did have a large number of enemies to deal with
Seems like overkill however,
There isnt much info about the enemies, there isnt exactly lore , so it would just be the information currently there
Or we could add in stragergies I suppose
But once again they would probably fit in the notes, especically if we were to make something like I've done above
imo I kinda like the current style of glyphid list since it's pretty nicely compact
the sizes between them should be equalized perhaps
can someone confirm if "Deeptora Honeycomb" are exclusive to sandblast biome?
that would be an exclusive hazard if it is
Yeap
YewHaw we have a room
woo!
i'm gonna be slowly going through what people put on the wiki and editing wording slightly to make it flow better
Please don't change the order I have the missions in
I purposely put mining expedition followed by search and extract since the difference between the two has been such a reoccurring question
As well as due to their similarity
Much smart, thank yous potarto.
Okay, I've added links to the main articles for each biome on the Hoxxes page
I was going to re-order them based on when you unlock them actually
@gritty bear How are we gonna extend the list tho,
no idea
@hollow jasper I figured someone would want to which is why I asked for people to please not. The thought came to mind when I was typing and I decided against it for the reason stated earlier
On the creatures of hoxxes page, the cave vine is in the wrong list. It should be grouped with the passive mobs
oh wait, didn't see the list at the bottom
@wary cove you might want to proof read. i know copy pasting is easy, i just thought to look at the wiki and saw this and since you posted the link i thought to tell you about it
even our wiki thinks that collection is just a lazy copy-paste of Mining expedition
i also saw this
Fix away
🚀
Not sure how I feel about the word player being replaced with a symbol though
🔧 all fixed up
Gracias
should we include the mule repair mode or not until it hits live?
I purposely left it out since it's in experimental
understood
It's also why I wrote currently at the top
ahhh
should i copy my live save and sacrifice my progress for the upgrades tab of the wiki?
*for when it exists
It's not like you lose anything if you do
As long as you've got the backup you're good
We already have all the upgrades documented though
Just not on a seperate dedicated page
ah, ok
I think he means the new ones
new ones?
there are new upgrades?
Well, some of the upgrades may get tweaked by the release of Update 14, so we'll probably need to update them anyway
Wonder when we'll get harvester info
just looking through engie page and learning new stuff
That particular feature could use some extra visibility
The 'selected' turret isn't very obvious
The HUD element is slightly brighter
or is this related to redeploying (replacing while the turret is still up)
yeah, might be better. bit confusing when worded like it is
shouldnt "Hoxxes" be "glyphids"? dont think you could kill planets with gunners minigun... although... we never know until someone tries...
using plural when talking about singular
Every time I see hoxxes on the wiki I want to change it to Hoxxes IV
Since we're on the 4th hoxxes it implies that there are at least 3 others so if we were on Hoxxes we'd be on a seperate planet
Well, wouldn't Hoxxes be the star system the planets are in?
Then Hoxxes I, Hoxxes II
Maybe
etc.
yeah, that sounds about right
Either way just calling it hoxxes would be wrong
Hoxxes as shorthand seems fine to me
even more so when talking about the enemies
"able to kill many hoxxes" just doesnt make sence as we are killing glyphids
Wait what
You'll have to ask TommyGun about that one, looks like he was the one to initially add those notes.
look at the one about gunners minigun
i think someone should always double check when editing these
Yay for editing!
time to go change all the hoxxes to hoxxes IV
yeah, i just think more care should be taken to insure correct information
The current active wiki contributor count is relatively low, so things will inevitably slip through
tater dont forget the one on the main wiki page
Main page is protected, only Wiki admins can edit it
ah
And the only DRG wiki-specific admin hasn't been around for about 3 months, I think
that reminds me I keep meaning to ask mads for that permission
@swift lark Can I get that permission for the wiki please?
Yeah it would makes sense for Tater or me to have that permission. I have been barely active though so far... Just a super lurker. (So busy)
busy touching cats
Probably both of us would be nice tbh
:)
Yes! You know it!
I'm jelly
grabber is in the enemy wiki and states that its only in experimental, shouldnt hurt to include the mule rescue mode too, also why is the mactera spawn the only one with a known hp? surely people must have found values of others too
grabber shouldn't be in yet I don't think
well for some reason it is
I think @elfin salmon was looking into enemy health values
Mushu was the one who added the Grabber to the enemy table actually
A wiki should have everything, regardless if it stays or not.
You can have a whole category or page for cut content if it ends up not making, like the jelly fishes
if it hasn't been fully released I don't think it should be on the normal wiki pages
we can have a page for things being worked on
jellies are back are they not? (at least i remember seeing some on experimental)
yeah, jellies got added back in
they're passive now though
and the varieties of jellies didn't make it back in
I seem to recall in the past the devs suggesting to put only things that are in the main branch be on the wiki... But it could have just been us community members discussing that in the past. Otherwise if experimental stuff is added to wiki then it needs to be clearly stated on said page that such feature/item/thing is only in experimental build currently.
I made an {{unreleased}} template for pages about unreleased content, but we don't have anything that can act as like a footnote currently for unreleased content that appears on pages about non-unreleased content.
that's one missing page taken out of the list
It's silly having playable content be excluded from a knowledge base just because it's in the latest version of a game. It'd be easiest to put Experimental in the names somewhere or have a notice saying they're experimental-only.
the problem is people don't read everything all the time
having it on a page dedicated to things in the works would lessen the chances of a misunderstanding
As long as the search system is still good enough to pick up searches for things which don't have their own page
would arguably make sense for starblaster to have admin too since he's top editor right now
I think the Moderators are proabably a safer choice
The previous top editor was an admin, but they haven't been active for about 3 months
we don't even have a community administrator listed
What do you mean?
I noticed the same thing on https://deeprockgalactic.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=Special:ListAllUsers&group=sysop
But we do have a single wiki-specific admin
The last post on here I can find in the search is from November last year, it's certainly been a while
she was the one who started up the wiki
Yeah i dunno what happened with Danni except maybe she is in school and just abandoned drg?...
Well it also seems like the wiki was pretty barren up until recently
I can imagine it would get a bit tiresome being virtually the only editor
Yeah they worked on it before early access release then didn't come back i feel like
There was danni and xenyhazard who orginally did the wiki
honestly I don't think there was a lot of info to work with at the time
just changed a bunch of the hoxxes over to hoxxes IV
give us dem hp values
@wary cove I don't have specific hp values
Dwarfurious helped me to find out the scaling of damage and health
With hazards and players
But the only value I know is certain is the mactera one
But
I can calcualte them in a bit
Devs can probably provide you with the exact values in a heartbeat
Well he wrote back quick but he also said swarmers have 100hp and the grunts have 20.
Maybe tomorrow can get a straight answer 😄
I think it'd be helpful if there was a redirect from searching mule that brought you to the M.U.L.E. page.
I'd put it in myself but I don't know how to make redirects.
what is this PRO thing I have on the wiki now?
Rank for editing enough stuff I think
oh nice
Lasts for 3 months
although I use adblock so it's kind of moot
But can be extended if you stay active
Yea it actually introduces a unique issue. The container that holds the ads is removed, so page layouts become wider
You can't view pages as regular visitors would while logged in
so it makes wiki editing harder to do
as far as I'm concerned that's part of editing
you'd think they would take notice of something like that
There might be an option to disable it somewhere, but I haven't checked yet.
icognito mode > disable ad block?
It just adds unnecessary complication. Having to open a seperate window/tab that's logged out to check formatting.
Ad block isn't the issue, that doesn't remove the ad container div or whatever.
It's the Pro ad removal
Ah, OK, there's an option to always display ads in account preferences on the main gamepedia site.
Problem solved
🎉
if the image file type differs from the already uploaded one should I just upload it seperately or update the current one?
I see
Welp, that 'Always Display Ads' option doesn't seem to work
what should we do with this page https://deeprockgalactic.gamepedia.com/ERR://23¤Y%25/
I'd delete it if I could
Zalgo text, little to no relevant information, no need for a page of its own as of yet when it could simply be listed with other gems/materials
I mean really aside from saying it's currently an Easter egg with no use as of yet there's nothing to put other than how to identify it in a wall
And that could have easily been put on a compilation of minerals page
fixing it up is the best we can do right now
@crimson haven hey have you got any idea of how we can get ahold of Danni and get some wiki admin privileges? Pinging her hasn't worked
And as far as I know she's the one with the privileges
I'd love to delete some jpeg images tho
You could try getting in contact with OOeyes, @wary cove. They're a Gamepedia-wide admin that's contributed to the DRG wiki in the past.
He also responded to a post I made on a talk page a little while ago
Also, deleting pages should probably be reserved for when it's really necessary.
If you really wanted to delete the ERR page until we got more information, you could instead clear it out and make it a redirect page, redirecting to the ERR section of the Ores page
I fixed up error 23, it should be fine until we get more info
from the recent changes it seems like I purged it lol
Deleting pages removes its edit history too, which is why it shouldn't be done for everything
I need to edit that Dwarf infobox template. It keeps dumping any page it's on into Category:Dwarves
It'd probably also be a good idea to not use Dwarf infoboxes for things that are not Dwarves.
ah I should fix that
I'll probably make a resource infobox template later--
--With the details being:
- Hardness
- Formation (vein, embedded, crystalline)
- Type (objective, crafting, consumable)
The Morkite page is also in Category:Dwarves currently
Fix'd
I've made and uploaded a file called Beta.png; we could use it to mark Experimental branch content as such
I think that looks good
I'm not sure if Beta would be the appropriate term right now though. Early Access itself is a form of beta, and the Experimental Branch is, well, Experimental, not Beta.
I've looked through the source, and over there they set that with {{dlc}}
Well, I can change the graphic if you want
I only chose Beta because it's shorter
To the point
I'm not exactly sure what it should be right now tbh
I can make an image insertion template for it later
Okay, just wanted to let you know that I can change it if necessary
I just need an appropriate resolution
The devs don't use the term beta though
So I recommend not using beta. Stick with calling things either Early Access or Experimental.
hoi I've found something during my last game and i don't know what it is. the name is really weird so...
Check the pinned messages in #bug-discussion.
Ex might be a bit too short
Exp seems reasonable
Though could be potentially confused with experience
ooooh thank you !
How about EXPM then?
i though it was more like a glitched item
Right
There doesn't seem much point in using a hard to understand shorthand instead of the actual word
Experimental is pretty long though
Experimental is too long for an emblem
Considering the whole point of the 'Experimental' tag is that some people don't believe a notice on the page itself will be enough to inform people.
InDev? Or just Dev
It wouldn't look very good
just another question, there's other items like that ? cause i think i've saw one during my first games
Now you're copying Minecraft
Am I? I haven't looked at their Wiki much
If we're assuming people are so clueless and incapable of reading, we might as well assume that a term needs explaining rather than being a cut-down shorthand that people will need to look up to see what it means.
The earliest versions were called InDev and InfDev
Oh right
ok
I still think we should just leave unreleased content off of articles that aren't 100% focused on unreleased content.
