I wonder what triggers the invisible items. My group had no issues playing the EDD once, but then when we retried it (same lobby, same group, same mission) and they couldn't see the eggs in stage 1.

When things are invisible it is only for those who join. If you're playing with friends, the host can stay in the mission while anyone who is affected by the invisibility issue can leave the mission and rejoin to fix the problem. My friends and I have tested it 3 times between today and yesterday, and upon rejoining everything is visible again

There are no guarantees of anything other than it has been submitted. There's no way anyone can reliably infer anything from that. Small updates get submitted and are available 4 - 6 hours later. The framework update (31.5), was submitted and took more than 2 weeks. It is extremely likely that it will be available sometime between 6 hours from submission and 2+ weeks. It seems likely it'll be on the shorter end of the spectrum, probably in the next few days, but that's about all anyone can reliably say

This may be redundant, but has anyone noticed major performance issues with the most recent Windows/Xbox hotfix? (Before "Roughnecks")? My game has begun "skipping" almost all the time, though it does get worse during more intense fights/moments.

I didn't put this in the channel for reporting bugs because there isn't a way to properly catalog it as a bug, really.

Is the Drilldozer mission broken or have bugs? I played it for the first time after installing the update, and the Dozer kept taking damage for no reason, there were no bugs anywhere around it and the left side kept taking damage continuously from nothing. Then after it broke the right side started taking damage, and once that broke then the middle. It was infuriating cause this happened at the last part of the mission out of no where and the damage was faster then I could repair it.

Can things other then bugs damage it by any chance? It seems to randomly take damage sometimes from nothing, it's very inconsistent, sometimes it happens frequently, other times it happens once or twice then doesn't happen for a minute or few.

I managed to make it to the last part of the mission again and man, was this mission even designed with single player in mind? It's a bit too hard, and I'm only playing on Haz 3. Kinda wish Bosco could passively repair the Drilldozer when near it or something. One person cannot defend it and repair it at the same time, let alone deal with the laser pillars + swarms of aliens. Too many things for one player to worry about given how fast the health of the Dozer gets drained.

You Can target the dozer with the laser pointer and bosco Will prioritize defending it. Its harder in singleplayer but you Can do it 🙂

The pillars step is where I always fail. I don't want to sound harsh, but Bosco can't defend it by himself, he simply isn't reliable enough to handle trash enemies while I repair the Dozer or try to destroy the laser-pillars.

Normally when i play it solo, iam at the middle part bring half destroyed when the mission ends

I've played it 3 times so far. I do just fine until the last part when it has to drill the core thing. The extremely high alien spawnrate is really tough, especially when the pillar step happens. The pillars do so much damage to the Dozer so I can't heal it, leading to me having to go attack the pillar myself while the Dozer takes damage. Instances like that could be fixed in co-op by just having someone try to tank the damage by repairing it while the other attacks the pillar. So I'm sure this mission type is decent and fine in co-op. But in single player, I feel like Bosco should be allowed to passively repair the Drilldozer while he's guarding it/near it. So the player can focus on attacking the pillars and generally defending it. Bosco in the other mission types works fine cause he does generally what a player can, being able to mine, carry things, and drill. But he can't repair.

Refinery mission feels great on single player.

I feel like Escort might be too harsh because of getting insta-failed when the Dozer gets destroyed. Kind of wish it'd just break down and you'd have to maybe do a lengthy repair process. Escort missions in video games tend to be frustrating if it's just "thing reaches 0 HP and you fail instantly".

I like that the Refinery mission can't be failed just cause multiple pipes are broke, it's a time consuming mission but it feels extremely less stressful then Escort.

It's very possible to get 100+ ping and not really feel any difference. You're not going to feel any difference, it's simply a display change rather than an actual ping change.

Call me a jerk but seeing a high ping value makes me not wanna play this game. The old model was accurate for me and it made sense.

Before the network framework update I relied on ping value a lot and it made sense. with new framework and ping values high makes me unsure about playing DRG now.

nibbles, the old model wasn't telling you accurate numbers. They were lower, but they were incorrect so they didn't actually mean as much. Because they were inaccurate, just because the numbers were lower doesn't mean anything would be better

Because ping isn't everything

Ping is, overly simplified, just a measure of how far away you are from the server you're connected to.

Being close and having a low ping might still mean you get some lag if the server is experiencing lag.

Likewise, being far and having a higher ping doesn't mean you'll have experience a lot of lag if the network data can get to and from you as fast as the game needs it to to make sure it feels good

Ping is at best a general measure of potential performance

An acceptable ping is around the 40ms-60ms mark or lower. A speed of over 100ms shows a noticeable delay and over 170 some games will reject your connection entirely.

Long story short, don't get hung up on ping if everything is playing well. And if you don't like the number, just turn them off

that's not how that works

I can have, at any given time, 4 different fps counters on screen. They tend to line up with each other including the one ingame. It is definitely accurate.

PGL does fire damage when selecting that gear mod. I have that mod selected along with fatboy so I do fire damage and radiation damage 😂

It loses 50% main damage but converts it to fire damage which is better then normal damage

50% damage converted to heat. This will reduce direct damage, but will set enemies on fire.
