@regal breach Would having players on the same network playing together be an issue? Me and my mates who I live with tried to play again the other day on the Current Live build, we were all on Console and I was host. We managed to join just fine, played about 15 minutes, a random player joined, another 5 minutes later everyone disconnected. I've never had anyone disconnect from me before if I play on console, only when on PC did it do that. We all use Powerline adaptors to connect to the router if that's a possible issue but good quality electrical wiring. No other issues on any other game when we play together.

It is a major overhaul of the builds for the Windows Store and Xbox in order to eliminate significant bugs that only occur in these versions (including connection issues and texture issues), and since it is such a significant overhaul the devs decided to release the update as a beta for the community to test to make sure the issues are resolved without creating new issues

I did not get to test joining or crossplay in the beta today as the Xbox version would not launch as has been previously reported. Hopefully the patch for that is available by tomorrow and we'll give it another try

The Insider build is the build that should fix the joining and disconnecting... when it's ready, of course. The devs pushed an update that should fix the launching problems some folks have experienced on the Insider build earlier today, but Microsoft hasn't made it available yet

I fixed it on last build by deleting local app data and restarting computer and trying to load it about 5 times and it worked that way

I thought it had something to do with controller and it kinda does. With controller I crash on press A to continue but with mouse and keyboard I get stuck on loading screen and after about 1 min I crash

It’s really annoying that the beta came out and when I was able to get into and play around it fixes a lot of problems that are present in public build but I can’t get my Xbox friend to join me because it’s unplayable on Xbox. I wanted to see if falling thru the map at spawn that drop pod makes for hole is fixed or not.

I have full dwarven faith in @tidal night and @rain spruce they can find and squish the damn bugs and larva that plague the beta

Just tried the new beta build on PC with account already logged in. Launched with no problems. Changed some Graphics and UI settings and then completed a quick mission. Exited the game and relaunched (again, no problems getting in) to see if settings were saved, but they are not. All of the settings I changed before doing the mission have reverted to default, but progress from the mission was saved

Xbox version does have some of the same connectivity issues and some unique issues like the texture bugs, but those should be tackled by the work done for the beta. It's just a matter of getting the game back to a good point since replacing UWP was such a major change

If it crashes go here C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Local and delete deep rock galactic insider folders and restart computer and try to open DRG insider about 5-7 times if it doesn’t launch correctly the first time

Replace C with what drive operating system is on

#

If that window pops up do control V in discord or you can paste it to axel because that window copies error information in clipboard and any crash information is helpful to coders

Pinging or direct messaging any coder/developer is a risky thing so I recommend caution it should only be used in emergencies like what problems I’m having with beta not launching correctly so they could see the problem in action. I try to sleep early and wake up about 1am pacific time zone to talk to coders/developers to help pin point beta problems.

Sometimes I can load past title screen other times I am not able. I have not made it past the ship heading down. Each time I make it further but that is as far as I have gotten.

I still play fairly frequently, but the two friends I play with most have a lot less game time these days, so it's less than it was. And right now my friend on Xbox cannot launch the beta, so outside of quickly checking on something to provide confirmation I have no reason to spend much time with the beta right now unfortunately

I had so many blank cores and we saw so few machine events that we completely gave up on doing Deep Dives because it was so much time and effort to get 4 more blank cores and 2 cosmetic cores. It didn't seem like a good way to spend our limited time. So now we mostly take it easy running Haz 3 missions and have fun seeing what random folks do when they join us

But I'm still learning new things, like what Yola pointed out about the EDDs, so there's still something here to come back to with friends. So few games are crossplay, and of the ones that are, few are this good

Went back to normal. Joined a Haz 5 salvage. Got to fuel pod objective and 2 players disconnected, couldn't join in, was taken ages. Bulk came, I survived ages as gunner, other player engineer. But was too many enemies.

Just going to pop in and say that we are hard at work trying to fix this issue but since we can't reproduce any of these crashes at the office that means that we need to push new versions to the insider program to see if it solves the issue.
This makes our workflow very slow and I hope you guys can have patience while we get this resolved!

Until we get it sorted I'll just change my name-tag to "Ok Coder" instead of "Good Coder".

Also when one of them did make it into the space rig, I on PC, he tried to join me which made him crazh

It did not show the icon to show he was joining, just hard crashed after a few seconds
