no problem if your computer can handle DRG just fine you will notice its a little more stable then xbox in some ways then others aka no bugs like texture bug or wall bug of texture
only problem windows build has is multiplayer sometimes but thats an easy fix if i know what the problem is i had devs pin a website its helped about half people with multiplayer issues
sometimes its a teredo issue or sometimes when updating windows 10 microsoft defaults windows 10 to turn off xbox live gaming services
not sure why microsoft defaults to turn off xbox live gaming services that seems like a bug more likely then them turning it off after an update

Except if we're really trying to encounter that exact combo, we only need an average of 10 - 12 minutes max per mission, including load times and space rig times. You don't actually need to finish any of the missions except the one where you find the combo. Get 4 scouts together, bump it down to Haz 1, try to pick low gravity missions as much as possible, and everyone splits up to fly through the caves looking for the combo. Abort mission when cave is fully explored and lacking the combo. You could get it done in a much more reasonable 273 hours...

At least hosting works. I still get occasional crashes on PC, so I try to avoid hosting so everyone doesn't get kicked when it happens. Friend on Xbox can host just fine, but occasionally he gets the stretched texture bugs, but at least everyone stays connected and we can usually finish the mission. It's imperfect, but DRG is just too good. That, plus the relatively quick load times, makes putting up with the issues a lot more bearable
Still, a real bummer each time a mission gets yanked out from under you
We definitely try to get cargo crates, lost packs, and machine events finished as soon as possible so even if something does happen, we've still managed to grab the rarer stuff
It doesn't help for bittergem, error cubes, and gold though...

There is crossplay between Xbox and Windows versions too.
It just has some connectivity issues with a few solutions.
And I think Xbox and Windows crashes from shock crystals in a certain biome and Xbox has texture stretching issues sometimes.
They are actively working on fixing those issues though, so it shouldn't be too long for them to get fixed or improved.

@shy onyx There are some issues that seem to affect some folks worse than others. If you've tried all the stuff in the pins, I'm not sure whatelse can be done. But the devs are aware and are working on the issues. The last word was they hope to have the fix for many issues in the next main update

@shy onyx if all fails these are some steps that have worked before for some members of the community if you are having connection issues with Win10:
- Go to the Search bar in the bottom left
- Type in "Settings" and press "Home"
- Select the Gaming Category
- Select Xbox Networking
- Press "Check Again"
- Then Select "Fix It"
- Restart computer and then go back to the same screen, it may show that you aren't connected at first so press "Check Again" and it should give you a NAT Type and Connectivity

Yeah steam is better until windows/Xbox gets update 32 which should make windows/Xbox on par with steam for multiplayer stability. Right now Xbox/windows versions are unstable for multiplayer aka lag and random disconnects vs steam which is perfectly polished

For that to work, I assume GSG would have to build their own multiplayer handler instead of relying on the platforms' built-in capabilities. They would need to implement something like what No Man's Sky recently added, which includes an in-game friends list and friend codes to connect to people from other platforms. It's possible, but it also sounds like a non-trivial amount of work

@ornate gulch Possible? Sure, it is possible. I haven't seen or heard anything to lead me to believe it'll happen any time soon, or at all, but it is possible. Unfortunately, I can't begin to guess at how likely or unlikely it would be because I don't know how GamePass works in terms of compensation for the dev/publisher.
DRG seems like a good candidate for GamePass, at least in terms of it likely being favorable for Microsoft, but it comes down to whether or not it's financially favorable for the devs/publisher. I've seen no statistics regarding the conversion rate of GamePass users to purchasers of DLC and/or games leaving the service (and I'd guess I never will see those stats), but if the general trend is that subscribers tend to buy games and DLC after playing on GamePass, then putting DRG on GamePass would probably be good for everyone and it would make sense if it were to happen at some point

Absolutely. I'm not sure how successful GamePass has been for devs/publishers, but it certainly seems like it's been successful for Microsoft. I'm sure if Microsoft offers the right amount of compensation, any game can be added to GamePass. It just depends on if Microsoft thinks it's worth an offer and then if devs/publishers think the offer is to their liking

Not sure how it makes Microsoft look bad. If a game fails --on GamePass or not -- it's because the game did not find an audience. While being on GamePass does mean that the game has a captive audience, and the game has barely any barrier to entry amongst that audience, the game still needs to be attractive to whatever potential audience it has. And Microsoft only has control over promoting a game that they didn't make, they have little to no control over making it attractive

Steam version seems to be the most stable of the three. Steam has Unions, which is a feature that both the Windows Store and Xbox versions do not have

Also, on Windows Store and Xbox, the game is Play Anywhere, which means you can play either on PC or Xbox without having to buy the game twice (edited for accuracy)
