Hmm. So last weekend I'd noticed my weekly priority assignment progress reset a couple of times. Thought it was because of the update, but now it just happened again with the weekly core hunt. Completed the first mining mission, got the blank matrix core for that, turned off the game to eat lunch. Back now and the assignment is no longer active.

Hi guys ! Quick update from yesterday session. We managed to make a full deep dive mission without any disconnection or bug, that's really cool, thanks to the devs !
Also later we had a minor bug, one of our friends got disconnected and there was some graphic issues but relaunching the game fixed everything. And it was just once during the whole evening.
Keep it up guys, you're doing a really nice job ! We are so happy to play this game now 😄

Forgot about the mission bug and accidentally reset my weekly core hunt again by switching games

So yeah, it's definitely abandoning the assignment if you close your game

So based on another player's post on Reddit, as well as my own experiences, I think ever since achievements dropped on Xbox, certain achievements are having their progress reset when the game gets an update. Your progress percentage for the achievement still shows what it was at its highest point, but you'll start over at 0 and have to get back to that previous high point and continue to make any further progress.
Example: I'd collected 2 Error Cubes between when achievements went live and when 1.0 dropped, so I was showing at 40% progress for that achievement. After we got 1.0, I noticed my next couple of cubes did not increase my progress bar. Upon getting a third, I reached 60% progress. However, since the hotfix last weekend, getting an additional Error Cube did not increase my progress again.
This seems to be affecting the cube achievement, Bittergem achievement, bulk detonator kills achievement, completed Deep Dives achievement, and likely some others.

TBH, I'd prefer completing a mission and losing that bit of successful extraction gold to failing because I was trying to help some randoms get out of a difficult cave

Though I usually play on haz 3 if it's with randoms, so I can stick by them for a few minutes qmd not face too much pressure during extraction if I have to run alone

Haz 3 is a great difficulty to do with randoms because waves are small enough numbers that you can feasibly take most of one out solo without using all your ammo

Though it can get boring since combat generally isn't all that challenging unless you have a particularly nasty cave

Idk, I find haz 4 more fun, but doing it with randoms is way more hit or miss

Not extracting personally can be a bit annoying, but as long as someone makes it to the pod, I'm happy lol

Just reading about people talking about Mixer, it's definitely a dying streaming service. I saw a video comparing the different streaming services and Mixer gained like 0.2% more hours watched from 2019 over 2018. Lol some people joke (though might be true) that it's cus Mixer doesn't allow E-THOTS lol so no Simps to mass gather on those channels haha.

Twitch, YouTube and Facebook gained healthy hours gained in comparison. Shame really, some interesting features on Mixer from what i heard and read up about

A friend of mine (playing on Xbox One) and I (playing on PC via Microsoft Store) are currently trying to play the game via crossplay. The problem occuring is: If he tries to join my game, he has the loading wheel of infinite doom telling him that he is going to join, while when I'm trying to join his game I nearly instantly get the message that the multiplayer session ended. Did somebody else had this problem and now why this is happening?

If you have trouble connecting to games, the 2 most common issues are:

• Not having Windows defender ON, it needs to be ON.
• Your playing on IPv6, change it to IPv4

So I'm going to check this up, but anyway when I go into my router settings, IPV6 isn't even available, never connects so am using IPV4. my PC has addresses for both, but should I turn off IPV6 in my PC network Ethernet properties anyway? Or don't bother cus router doesn't use it anyway?

Oh wait I can see now my PC says under Ethernet Status "IPv6 Connectivity: No Internet Access" So don't bother disabaling it yeah?

Did the ability to upgrade flares get taken out of the game?? I remember in the earlier game preview/ early access version there was upgrades you can buy for the flare making so the duration of the flares stay on longer and making them brighter and the cooldown shorter and letting you carry more. If I recall correctly you used to be able to carry 3 and now you can carry 4 by default. So did the devs just boost the flares making the upgrades that can be bought just maxed out by default making the flares more beefy than the older versions?? Or what happened. Can someone confirm this and state if they know why they were removed changed etc?

@sly stone Thank you for the information. Started a new game so not really worried about the materials that were used. It was mainly the excitement that is gone now lol I remember back in the earlier versions after the missions I would be like "YESS!! FINALLY I CAN UPGRADE MY FLARES" lol now sadly there is nothing to do with the flares and don't really seem any point in them being in the equipment upgrade terminal unless they end up releasing cosmetics or skins for them. I don't hate how they are now but I personally enjoyed the upgrade aspect of them being part of your gear and all so it only made sense that we were able to upgrade them. I guess I will just have to learn to survive with them being maxed out by default lol

Personally, I don't like the upgrades that offer the player no choice. It's just arbitrarily worse for new players. I feel a lot of the progression should come from increasing your knowledge and skill levels, not simply playing more

The upgrades where you have 2 or 3 to choose from, obviously, are a core part of the game and add immensely to the number of possible playstyles

@sly stone I agree with you on those aspects but I still enjoy the little upgrades here and there pointless or not it was just something that always gave me the feeling of finally having something upgraded lol I am the type of player that has the feeling of accomplishment even for the little things so when i finally had enough material to have upgraded flares I was always so happy. Sure it didn't really progress me any further and just made my flares last longer but in the end my mind was still always like "hoorayy I did it!!" Lol but I know this game is more focused on newer players and having them progress more into the game. I am one of the few that just play the game not just to progress but because I enjoy to be in the game world lol I probably spend more time than most in each mission just because I enjoy the soundtrack and enjoy mining lol sure I am not getting much extra apart from maybe 3 extra XP and credits max for all the excess minerals i am mining but its the thought and feeling i get from a job well done that keeps me playing. At the end of the day I will look at that cave and be able to say I spent 4 hours in that level 1 complexity level 1 length cave to mine every bit of mineral in there. It was a waste of time sure but I had fun doing it lol know what I mean 😂 I thank you for information on my question though. I appreciate it

Hello, I just got the new XBOX Beta App for Windows 10 and for some reason it's not adding my bought ( from the Microsoft Store ) DRG to the available games. I also can't find it if I search the xbox app store. What's up?

Sea of Thieves does show up properly so games bought from the Microsoft Store do appear there.

DRG also does not appear in the "Games I own" section of this new XBOX app.

It does show my DRG achievements on my profile.

@fading lion it depends on where you installed DRG i have 2 drives in my computer, one is SSD for windows system/games that wont install on my 2nd drive which is HDD, mine is not showing up on Xbox beta app but it shows as installed on microsoft store

also new xbox beta app seems to only work with gamepass users on pc

which DRG is not on gamepass

its up to microsoft and devs if they wanna add DRG to gamepass but im thinking they might add it to gamepass after framework makeover, better to have a stable multiplayer game on gamepass then a picky one on gamepass

Love to have more to the party but I can't deal with the glitches tonight. I can't get my PC friend in the actual rig, and when I do have someone it's this weird starburst effect. I dunno how to report any of that but it's driving me crazy.

If I try to host and open up public, my PC friend used to be able to connect to me that way. The xbox invite or whatever the PC invite side looks like hasn't been able to connect us since prerelease (we just found our way around it with the PC friend searching for the session.)

I'm assuming it's on xbox side at this point, it's been all sorts of borked lately.

@grim mantle is my PC friend so maybe he can explain it better.

Windows version does not have push Z to talk, the mic is forced on by default with the only way to mute is by a feature of your headset or by app properties.

I’ve noticed developers on Minecraft java care about bugs vs bedrock version and since GSG has less devices to worry about it should make it easier to beta test updates

I’d kindly beta test new updates on windows 10 Xbox insider app to find bugs like in update 31 voicelines and text are mismatched and some text lines go off screen

Deep dives looks normal but the normal one doesn't, it's dumbed down

The one thing that was fixed (as long as you don't disconnect too often) Is that if a assignment mission is started by the host that is yours, if you disconnect, it doesn't reset progress, you can re join and it will still count

That made the game basically unplayable before, but now as long as you don't disconnect frequently, it's okay

try running netsh interface teredo show state in cmd with admin access and see what it says about it

also in cmd with admin type out ipconfig and see what it says for tunnel adapter teredo

I think early pod call-ins are a mild annoyance at best. Personally a low priority.

It would be nice to have an eta on the next patch to hit the system though.

I did. The "Texture bugs" mentioned is incredibly vague, and could encompass any number of issues that aren't game breaking. This particular one is extraordinary common and damaging.

i know this is for steam problems but try it and see what happens, 1. Use the Framework repair tool

Select the NetFXRepairTool.exe and download it.
Open the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.

Okay so the check boxes are filled in so I guess that means they are on. So instructions are for both to uncheck them, restart, then re check them after restarting

You can click the + to open them up to see there are other files inside with their own check boxes. In the 2.5 one, neither of them are checked (Windows Communication Foundation HTTP Activation and Non-HTTP Activation), no idea if they are meant ot be but will leave them alone.

in the 4.8 one there is ASP .NET 4.8 which is unchecked and WCF Services which is checked.

PSA: Some players on the Windows 10 version of the game regrettably experience fairly frequent random loss of connection in multiplayer games.

If you are a victim to this, we recommend playing the game in Windowed screen mode or refraining from alt-tabbing out of the game while we work on a permanent fix. We agree it isn't optimal, but it is the best known solution we can offer in the meantime.
