Hi, me and my friend bought this game on the Windows Store yesterday. His game doesn't run almost at all, it goes on slower than a bad slideshow. His specs: Win10 Pro 64bit, Intel i5-2500k, AMD Radeon HD6870, 12gb DDR3. He can run the game on his Surface laptop (Intel i5-4300u, Integrated Graphics, 8gb DDR3). Also it would be great if you could change the settings before getting into the game. It took him a long time to get to the actual game screen where he could adjust the settings. Are the Steam and Windows Store versions in sync? Is there anything he could do right now, while waiting for the update? Help would be much appriciated, thank you! 🙂

Yknow i did notice when viewing my driller one day in the wardrobe screen his textures did start tearing across the whole screen. Reset fixed it.

I also noticed on xbox, the directions on how to use certain pieces of equipment still says "Use LMB" instead of RT.

I've just read the last patch-note, but nothing seems to concern the big issues mentionned yesterday in this channel. Basically; I think they need a Xbox Live/Windows username, but it’s been a while since I added someone. Crossplay is also a little bit buggy right now, and the devs are aware and working on a fix- but it’s complicated because of working with third party software, so it may be a bit before we see it. Some folks are still having luck, and have been quick with the tips that work for some!

Hi! I bought the game yesterday and I have trouble playing with friends, resulting in "Multiplayer session ended." My friends can see me online, invite me to games, but we cannot join each other. I also have not been able to join games on the Server list, but can start my own "public" ones though no one has joined me yet.

I searched discord for solutions and did the following things:
-updated windows
-uninstalled and reinstalled the game
-my friends and I clicked off private game
EDT: -also restarted PC, reset modem/router
EDT: -I play windows and my friends play xbox and/or windows; I can't join groups while they can

I have seen many others with a similar problem. If you experienced similar issues and were able to get the game to work, please lmk how. Thank you!

In the meantime, if you want to try it, you can have you and everyone you're trying to play with completely exit the game, and then restart it within a few minutes of each other. Whoever is hosting then sends invites, and everyone joining has to load fully into the game, able to run around the space rig, before accepting the invites. This works 95% of the time for my friends and I, although I've had a lot of people tell me that it still doesn't work. If it doesn't work the first try, we reboot PCs and Xboxes and give it another try with the same procedure: launch game within a few minutes of each other, join on invite after loading into the space rig

Nah, you'll still have to buy it either on xbox or in the microsoft store if you want to play cross platform.

But you can transfer your save from steam and vice versa if you download it in the microsoft store (since you have steam already).

It just requires some one time work.

hello fellow dwarf, im not sure if im suppose to ask here but here i go, im playing on pc and i keep getting multiplayer session ended when i try to join my friends, ive saw many post with that issue but nothing seem to work, ive tried hard but still, up to now all i got is ; mission session ended when : i try to join via window bar, im invite in hub, im invite in mission. OR i got a loading notification appearing, load, and close i if try to join via public server. If i try to invite them they got a eternal loading with a frozen black screen if they dare to cancel the join. Is there something wrong with the crossplatform ? or ive drank too many oily oaf and didnt found the fix? they are playing on xbox and yes ive try uninstalling the game ... soon twice

It does scale for number of players, both enemy count and in some cases enemy difficulty

Although, prior to 1.0 (I haven't had a chance to try since, yet) going in with 2 dwarves seemed significantly harder than going in with 3 dwarves

i finally fix my problem with the pc-xbox ''multiplayer session ended'' it come from the pc conexion to the xbox live(teredo) type xbox live setting in yours search bar, and look for the Nat type : if it say teredo is unable to qualify, in the search bar type service, look for ''ip helper'', manually stop it, then start it back, now go back to the xbox live setting, try check file, to see if it still unable, if it does, click fix it and (for my case) it was now working and ive been able to join my friends

@hexed fiber A Deep Dive is a series of three stages back to back. Each stage is like a normal mission, but instead of one primary objective and one optional secondary objective, you have two primary objectives that must be completed to move on. The stages are not random like regular missions, everyone has the same stages for the week. Once a Deep Dive is started, no one else is able to join, and your Nitra and Ammo carry over from one stage to the next. You earn rewards after each stage is completed, but if you don't finish the Deep Dive you have to start from the beginning again, there are no checkpoints. They're a fun weekly challenge

Man, today was my first serious problems with the game. Significant input delay at times, from where jumping wouldnt happen to holding LT for some time before the pickaxe comes out, some nasty textures exploding outward making areas of a cave impossible to navigate and very noticeable rubberbanding

I have a bug, in which I just can't get into a public game, invite friends, play with my friends and look for games, '' multiplayer game over '' appears, it's been over two weeks that I'm trying to play online, I'm very stressed about it and I JUST WANT TO PLAY, I see that many have the same problem as me, they even put some solutions where I tried them all and none worked, I just want them to fix it.

I have already spoken about this problem here several times, sometimes I was ignored and other times they gave me an answer that didn’t make sense, it seems that there is no conversation between the developers and the people who solve these microsoft bugs

If it's any comfort, it's also extremely unsettling for us. We will crush those bugs eventually, even if we have to ditch the old framework and implement a new one. With 1.0 out of the way, we should be able to approach the issue with a fresh mindset.

I've never understood what people mean by greenbeards, I've played this on steam for a while now and the requests for lfg are insane. Having more lvl doesn't make u good at the game. I've being kicked a lot on PC for being low level for hazard 4 missions...cause using a not promoted character 😔
It looked like destiny 2 raids lfg all over again. 😂

Good evening everyone. I have a question I'm hoping you guys might be able to answer. In short I have the Windows 10 version of the game. I bought it specifically because I wanted to play with my friends on XBL. I'm unable to join their games. I've confirmed I can join their games from Xbox but if I try to join it from my PC I get Multiplayer Session Ended. They get the same if they try to join me. Given that it works on XBox I'm pretty sure it's not network as I'd expect the same issue there. I've tried reinstalling the game and having them make their game public and joining from there. Anyone have any thoughts?

I believe it is part of the mostly unpredictable issues resulting from the game's engine, Unreal Engine being updated, but the engine plugin used to create the Windows Store and Xbox versions of the game being unsupported for the newer version of the engine

It's not hard or very time consuming to try, and hopefully it works. There is currently a texture bug that is affecting Xbox only, so if you can play PC, it might be a little better

Yeah, I pretty much only play with friends, and if what I try didn't work, Deep Rock would be out of the rotation for us for a while, which would be a bummer. However, we've had several 6-hour sessions since 1.0, so it does work for us, but it doesn't seem to work for everyone

Idea for the devs, as sort of a bandaid fix to the problem, a server filter option that only shows mission types you choose. Have it show up as a pop up menu before the server browser shows up. Could help until problem is solved

@muted dagger My friend on Xbox have joined me multiple times when I play on PC. Do the Windows version of the game use the same ports as Xbox? Perhaps a firewall/security program on your PC is the problem. Also check that your NAT is open in the game and compare it what it says on the Xbox just to make sure it's the same.

@tropic bone - Thanks for the response. I don't think I'm having a network issue. You're actually required to have a firewall on for the Toredo service that you have to have on to use XBL Console. I checked my local firewall on my PC that it was allowed both privately/publicly. I also checked my USG Pro4 and didn't see anything being blocked. As for NAT I can check that. I also enabled UPnP based on some things I read on reddit.

If I were you I would start with taking away any components between your PC and the box the ISP provided you to get Internet access. I would also disable any security programs (firewall, antivirus etc). If you still are having issues try to boot your computer in clean boot to make sure no other services or startup applications are interfering

Yes, it was bonjour, a service that's came with iTunes when I installed it. Worst piece of software I ever had on my computer giving my multiple headaches. I'm not 100% sure but I think it interfered with an UPnP device I had. Just an example how one program can mess things up that works out of the box otherwise. Another example is having multiple security applications trying to do the same things, very bad idea.

If there is anything on your computer it's better to first disable everything like in the guide, then trying to figure out what exactly is causing the issue, if that is the case.

Its pretty awesome. You can hang out with i think up to 12 people as if they are in the same room as you and everyone can have their own mini screen floating out in front of them so you can watch each other's screens while the Host broadcasts to the main big screen

Just in regards to the server list thing mention earlier, in the patch that should hopefully be out with hotfix 1+2, it will also cap the server list to refresh max every 10 sec. right now it constantly refreshes and its a gd nightmare. and more improvements coming in update 31

@regal carbon That might explain it, I think I've successfully done an OMEN event since 1.0, as well as one ebonite mutation. I've seen a kursite grinder explode for sure, though, and possibly one overcharge sprinkler from thy ebonite event as well. Usually I'm just finding the key box insert with no event by it, so I'm not sure what's exploding/disappearing in every case.

Yeah that is what I assumed.

BUt I bought and installed the game around that date. I think the last patch was on the 20th.

@muted dagger the patch notes is from when the Steam version was updated. Xbox build was updated today.
