I posted this in the bug discussion but ill post here to see if anyone else is having the same problem.
I havent been getting rewards from my Cargo Crates for the last month or so, everytime I open a crate whether I am in a solo game or with other players I get nothing. It is not that it is just 'not showing up' its that it doesnt give me anything, at all. This is a big end game problem and im curious if anyone else has had this issue?

I had a save file double in size until the game crashed upon startup, sent them the save file and they managed to fix it so it would not happen to anyone else.

I turned into a stretched out texture for an Xbox friend; I was basically a walking wall of color. I changed my class and cosmetics and it went away. I've seen this happen in other Unreal Engine games, but I've never looked into it further as it usually goes away. I wonder what causes it...

Hello, so I am having an issue were I'm not receiving my item from cargo crates. Playing on xbox - I have an xbox S model if that helps. It's been happening for a while - I've probably missed out on about 10-20 rewards now. It happens playing solo or with a squad. It happens if I "claim" immediately or wait until all the minerals have spewed out. I know I haven't run out of prizes to claim because I know of the end of mission emotes and cosmetics that I'm missing. Also yesterday I uninstalled then reinstalled the game. Any help on this would be great. I love the game and just hate missing out on an important part of the end game content.

It's official I have lost my character, my progress and my time limited items. I was looking forward to the 1.0 release but with the game breaking bugs and multiplayer problems windows 10 vr has i just don't feel as excited nor have the will to get all my stuff back. i do like this game and i wish them the best of luck but this was the last straw, i know people will say it's early access and to bad bra lol but i think most people who have played on this vr will get my struggle. rock and stone brothers rock and stone.....

The Steam version of DRG actually works really well for the backups but Microsoft doesn't want people cheating or having easy access to their save files, which is likely why it is not implemented since it went from the devs version of saving to Microsofts cloud saving through Xbox Live (which is garbage).

Theres this frustrating bug i just got while in a deep dive, there was a maggot in the drop pod and i killed it, my game froze up for a minute, then unfroze but i cant do anything in thw game and the xbox dashboard is laggy

I've got a problem that has been happening since the patch that fixed being unable to latejoin without crashing. I haven't said anything as it didn't bother me much but it's starting to now xD After I startup the game, I can start a mission and have people join in and have it visible on the roster, I can invite friends and be invited to their games just fine. But after the initial first game, my games are no longer listed on the game roster nor can people join at all. I can't send friend invites and I cannot be invited to games, the option straight up doesn't work. On Xbox One X
I can remain as the host/guest of a party indefinitely, but after that party is dispersed I can no longer invite or be invited. I can late join games on the roster just fine, start my own games as well but no one joins because it isn't visable on the game roster

The number of enemies that spawn for 2 players on Hazard 4 and 5 seems like it's a bit high. It kind of feels like it's just about a good number for 3 people, but just a bit too much for 2 people. Since everything takes just a little bit longer to kill is gets overwhelming fast especially when one person goes down. But Hazard 3 is way too easy. The balance for number of players seems a little off, and the difference from Haz 3 to 4 seems to be a little too large

Yeah, I've noticed that too. It feels like too wide of a spectrum for you to know what the difficulty is going to be like. Had a machine event today where grunts were spawning nonstop and you could barely move to carry the explosives to the deposit, if we would have had 3 people we probably would have beaten it, but it was just too many for 2 people. Next mission we had another machine event, not one enemy spawned the entire time. When it's too easy it isn't as much fun, and when it's too much for the number of players it's frustrating because it feels like you never really had a chance

What happens when you become submerged in minerals? Like, if a crassus detonator blew up, and took out some nitra and morkite and then you mined all of the gold to the point where it was all in a pile, then drilled a narrow hole underneath so that it all sank in and then you jumped in, what would our screen look like if we were past our heads in minerals

It's not just armor, sometimes it's the terrain. Sometimes it's a flare. Sometimes it's a visible but not physical wall that runs down half of the map impeding vision. Sometimes when looking in a specific direction the screen goes green and black xD

Another thing is that drop pod/late join pod animations don't work, the grinders work but the walls around it don't move. When the "main drop pod" enters the map, dwarves fly all over the place, usually through the roof and above the falling pod. I haven't late joined in forever without the "small pod" sending me through the bottom of the map to fall for 3 seconds before rubber banding me back to the map

Well, failed the Elite Deep Dive yesterday because game crashed at the after mission screen after we beat the second stage. Failed again just now because right as the drop pod came to pick us up it (or something) caused the crazy graphics giant wall of texture glitch and my friend couldn't see anything to get to the pod or revive me when I went down. He was alive and could have made it, but he couldn't see anything. It seems like there's still a lot of work to do before coming out of early access...

I really can't say why everyone else has so much trouble with joining friends for crossplay. It's a real bummer. That's one thing that does work consistently for my friend and I
@dense salmon All I can offer is what we try and it works pretty much 95% of the time: Have you and whoever is joining you exit the game completely. Then, everyone restarts the game within a few minutes of each other. Then, whoever is hosting sends invites, and everyone has to join from those invites
If anyone has the game open for too long, we see problems joining. And you can't reliably join friends without an invite
And as far as I know, the model geometry/texture glitches only seem to affect Xbox players. I've not seen them myself, but my friend has had them a few times. Caused an EDD failure earlier today when I went down and he couldn't see me to revive me or the exit drop pod because it brought a giant texture wall with it

We've had trouble with every EDD for weeks now when we go in with just 2 people. The number of enemies just seems a bit too high. This week was the first week we felt like we could beat it with just 2, but we kept having bugs/crashes, bad luck with spawns in the second stage, or real-world bad luck requiring one or the other's attention for just long enough for everything to go poorly
We got two bulk detonators almost back to back in the second stage today on one attempt. All the other times we've played the second stage this week we've had none
But every time we have 3 people we beat it first or second try
And the number of enemies spawning doesn't seem any different between 2 people and 3 people

I’ve noticed on sandblasted compacted dirt doesn’t generate and I have to mine far away to get compacted dirt to continue deeper in the caves

So, to set things straight - it's not about fault. Microsoft has a lot of less that optimal systems in place, which makes crossplay and optimization hard to do - especially if someone suddenly decides that the framework shouldn't be updated along with the game engine.
Saying that two people work on the Xbpx build is wrong. A lot of people work on the game, some of these focus on making the game work on console. Essentially everyone is working on the game build, and a small subset of these people handle getting it to work on Xbox AND look at alternatives to UWP to make it work better.
System Era is 23 people, so they are more than us - they're also making a game that is very different from Deep Rock Galactic - it's not comparable.
I have never compared GSG to 343. Someone else did that, and I pointed out the size difference.

@wraith compass Well, we have 2 QA guys, that's true. Other than that, it's a team effort. It's not like any version is getting preferential treatment - it's just the most optimal way to do it. We can build and deploy the Steam version rapidly, so it's way easier to get a lot of feedback from that version when running it on Experimental. It's not that easy on Xbox. Game dev is hard, yo 😂

Mainly the ones that straightup prevent multiplayer.
I'd love to recommend those versions to people who want to buy those versions but I can't bring myself to do it because core elements don't work sometimes at all.
I know that it is nigh impossible to fix something that you cannot replicate as a developer, but a hell of a lot of other people get it.

I've only been there for a year, but overall I think it's because the plugin between UWP and Unreal isn't being maintained any more, and since we're on a newer and necessary version of Unreal, that raises a lot of issues.

Makes sense. Microsoft is relaxing the requirement for apps to be UWP on their store, and UWP is a hassle, so why maintain plugin that was only used out of necessity that is no longer there (except potentially for existing apps still in active development, which is probably not huge number)
And moving to a newer version of Unreal makes sense, but then this plugin didn't get updated by whoever maintains it when the engine updated, so it's easy to see how something like this could cause all sorts of unexpected and unforeseen issues along with all the anticipated ones

We had a hard time with just 2 dwarves, but I bet if we had 3 we could give it a real go. So much stuff spawns for 2, but 3 isn't that much more to deal with but you have a lot more firepower

Hey gang. I just switched to my new pc and reinstalled drg. Win 10 ver. It installs fine but when i launch the game it just sits on the drg splash screen. Eventually it times out. I have internet and im all signed in to my microsoft accounts. I have disabled firewalls before the download and during launch. Any suggestions?

@fickle bay this might sound dumb, but i just relentlessly open and close the game over and over until i can finally get through the splash screen. it usually takes no more than 5 tries. Sometimes though I stay patient and go make myself a drink and by the time I come back ill be able to get through the splash screen.

Just had a very unusual bug I hadn't seen before on Xbox. The headwear I had equipped, Slit Helmet, suddenly disappeared. It became identical to A Clean Shave not only when equipped to my character, but when viewing it's icon in the wardrobe and store, for all classes. Restarting the game fixed it.
Uploaded video for reference. (No editing so it's a lot of me fumbling around as I try to figure out what happened.)

Ok i figured out why the hell my win 10 version was not launching. I had to go in to manage my devices and remove the old computer. Guess the game was phoning home on launch and having issues authenticating multiple active pc’s.

I usually say I’m keeping what I have if u don’t like it leave or deal with it. It’s an early access game and has bugs in it.
