I’m not sure who found that bunker bug but I figured it out on steam experimental breach when uplink and fuel cells made it possible to fall down
Problem with bunker on fuel cells is once timer starts swarms then spawn like normal even while bunkering

That is the non-Steam version for you, but, yes, pretty much everyone on those versions have that.
Maybe not Xbox, Windows Store version does though.

I literally haven't been able to play the game from Windows Store since Deep Dives were added. It freezes my entire computer on game launch and I have to hold my power button.

I got the Windows Store version to play with a friend on Xbox but we haven't played since Deep Dives were added, due to how broken it is.
He basically rage quit after all of the issues pissed him off.
Then I couldn't even have the game open for 3 minutes before freezing.

Damn dude, I’m sorry. I bought it on Xbox originally cause I didn’t have a PC so when I got a Pc I downloaded it as well. After experiencing all the issues I tried Xbox again cause it seemed to work flawless. The audio was working properly and no sign of crashes, but it seemed to be a lucky session as the next time I played it was crashing too.
I mean, I like this game so much that I wouldn’t mind buying it again on Steam but it’s not fair. I’ll just wait it out. It should be fixed eventually I guess

I'll be honest, I've no idea what I should be seeing in those photos, as I'd still call myself relatively new

@pulsar osprey first picture: the white text on the right is supposed to be the time remaining to do a special event in game (related to the big machineries advertised in the last update). There's only zero to one event per missions, and if the timer goes to 00:00 the text dissapear, so this window is very buggy. Second is the big stuff creating the event.

Extermination mission - sent in to wipe out a massive swarm of glyphids in a cave and get out alive. Instead of 2-3 dreadnought it’s 100-200 small-medium bugs

I'd say up it by an order of magnitude or it's still too easy. If nitra is plentiful and it's just straight survival, go big or go home

then you could make the time lapse between the swarms random (from 2min at minimum to 5 min at max), or just make the lapse extremly short. That way even if nitra is everywhere in the cave, you still have to be efficient at getting it

Most newer decent brand TVs, at least in the LED department, should not have that problem. OLED (and Plasma) is at risk, but if it’s a decent brand, it should have built in protection.

Kezuta, it is just an issue with those versions that has been around forever.
The main issues currently are crashing, freezing, lag spikes, disconnects.
The issue that you are having I don't know what causes it but we just spammed restarts of the game and sometimes even restarted our platforms until it worked.
Sometimes it just never worked and we waited a few days until we could join anyone or each other.

Doing a mining mission solo and found a machine called a Kursite Grinder. I can't find a way to interact with it. What does it do?

You would need to have promoted at least one dwarf to unlock the tritylite key for use. You would use the key on the activator box found next to the machine event, which would allow you to start up the challenge by interacting with it.
The kursite grinder event spawns in special enemies that glow yellow that you will need to kill within the event's time limit, depositing yellow kursite gems that spawn upon their death into the grinder
If you successfully deposit enough gems to reach the quota within the time limit, you will be rewarded with the option to use up a blank machine core to choose from one of three options presented to you back on the box where you inserted the tritylite key, giving you either a weapon overclock or a cosmetic.

Hello, I got this game awhile ago on Xbox with my friends. I'm trying tonight to play on windows 10. My game crashes right after the updates screen. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, updated drivers, and refreshed the Microsoft store. I've tried researching on the reddit and cant find a fix anywhere. Can anyone help? Also i have 1060 6gb, I7-9700k, 16gb of ram, and its installed on a ssd. Thanks

So you should try to make a backup of that save file by saving it somewhere else and then delete the one in the original folder.
It should reset your progress but you will at least know if it is a corrupted save.
If that is not the case, there might be other reasons liked DX12 or just the overall instability of that version (hopefully the upcoming update will fix it).
If that is the issue you might be able to restore an old save (not familiar with cloud saving for that version) but if not you'll have to recreate your save file in a stable experimental build where you can use the cheat terminal to get the stuff that you remember having, which would require the Steam version or someone kind enough to do that for you and send the file to rename to get it to work for the Windows Store version.

I hope by version 1.0 the devs figure out how to communicate to non-Steam players better. It’s difficult to know when our updates are actually arriving. The experimental brach is fine and necessary for a good product, but I would like the general public’s updates to arrive on all platforms at the same time.

The approval process doesn't take two weeks. The devs delay our version to focus on Steam hotfixes, and then roll those hotfixes into our version. Then, they can hotfix our version. In theory, that results in them only having to triage and fix one version at a time. The Microsoft approval process seems to only take a few hours typically (if all goes well)
That being said, there was an update over the summer that did get stuck in approval for multiple weeks, so anything can happen

Although Steam to Windows might not work right until the Windows version is on the same update as the Steam version. Especially right now with the whole perk system being different
I can't say for sure because I haven't looked into the structure of the save files, but it's a reasonable concern. Windows to Steam should be fine regardless. Of course, always make backups of saves in case something goes wrong

If you put a newly updated Steam save file into Windows Store it will work fine and give the stuff when the update comes out, from my experience.
The only major risk that you can do is experimental save transfer.
But as long as you made a backup anyways, you're pretty much fine unless your storage method corrupts or something.

You don't mess with the container at all.
Just copy your Steam save to that folder area, copy the name of the non-container file and delete that file, then rename the Steam file to the exact same thing as the file name you copied.
It also has to be turned into a "file" and not a "save".

It's at least a few days away still. They announced a perk balancing hotfix for 28 on Steam is coming soon, with all spent points being refunded, so I'd be shocked if we get our version before that comes out and the devs get a chance to respond to feedback. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see the update until sometime next week

Also, in my experience they tend to wait until most of the major stuff is cleaned up in the Steam version before putting our version into MS certification, probably to avoid constantly submitting patches for cert

@sand nexus open up control panel (can use the search bar) and use the search bar in control panel to look for "File Explorer", select "Show or hide file extensions" and then uncheck the box for "hide extensions for known file types" and hit apply.
Should be easy to see file extensions for those files after that so you can just copy the full name over and it'll change the extension of the save file to just file.

Given that they're still changing perks in Steam Experiemental Branch and these changes aren't even in the live version on Steam yet, I'd be shocked if it came out this week. I won't even be surprised if it doesn't arrive next week. These are big changes, and it's twice as much work to make those changes every few days on two versions at the same time. If they focus on one version then the other, we'll probably get the end result quicker than if they tried to split their attention

On Xbox, the update didn’t appear till I tried to open the game

Played it the other day and it was super quiet due to mission control being silent and music not working.
I also noticed that the jukebox was moved very strangely compared to every other build. It was rotated towards the stairs and on the side of the pillar.
Should be all of the hotfixes, which is why it is usually delayed.

Yeah game crashes A LOT. First time entering after a fresh reload and I can join and okay a game fine. After the match, the next game I try to join crashes to dashboard. If I attempt to connect to a game and fail, then try to connect again, crash to dashboard. If I do ANYTHING with a loadscreen after any activity attempt following the first attempt, crash and dashboard

Yeah, So it seems to be me. 1. I can't join any game on the server list.. 2. When I do quick join, It cycles forever, 3. When my buddies try to join my game they load forever. 4. When I join them I get multiplayer Session ended. So It semas like it's alot more on my client. I have restarted computer and reinstalled Software.

Yes to the audio bug being fixed for Windows. As for stability: I've had no crashes and no disconnects in about 8 hours of playtime since the update. There may be some issues joining a new person/group after leaving your current group, but exiting the game and restarting seems like it let's you join again
I've only had one issue with joining or inviting friends so far, and once we're in everything has been smooth

I haven't crashed besides the usual ways of tabbing out and trying to join a friend before loading in.
Performance doesn't seem much better. Connection issues still exist.

Pretty much comes down to both of you restarting until it works.

Both of you should quit the game, and for good measure have your friend reboot their console, then both of you load the game and make sure you're both in the space rig. Then whoever is going to host should be able to invite

Once you're in together, you should be good to go as long as neither of you leaves the group/game. This update has been pretty stable for me and an Xbox friend once we're connected

Shouldn't need to restart the console, just close the game and reload

You could try rebooting your PC, and even your router, and then try again. Sometimes things just need a reboot
Do you have any other crossplay titles that do work? If those work than it's more likely something related to DRG, but if nothing works than you've narrowed it down to the way things are configured on your PC or internet connection

Okay. It's possible that it's just DRG. I'm on PC and I hosted my Xbox friend today and yesterday with minimum hassle, but we did have to do the whole reboot console and PC dance, then load the game right around the same time, and then I invited him
It seems if you sit in the space rig too long before inviting, sometimes it doesn't want to work

Okay. That at least rules out general connection issues. Although SoT is a server-client connection, and DRG is a host-client connection. But the Xbox connection stuff is working

Yeah. Go to Settings -> Apps
Should be able to uninstall from there and reinstall from the Windows Store

From my experience with that issue it literally comes down to restarting a ton.
Unless somehow you have firewall issues with DRG on PC.
Which could cause issues.
I've had days where I can connect to my friend on Xbox with no issues. I've had consecutive days where I couldn't connect even with us restarting a ton.
Just a really annoying and strange issue that occurs for no apparent reason with crossplay on DRG.

And I've had very few issues ever connecting from my PC to my friend's Xbox, but the update 26 and 27 made it hard to stay connected and finish anything. 28 has been good so far. I wonder if proximity and internet connecting affects people's ability to connect
My Xbox friend is a real life friend about 20 minutes down the road, and we both have pretty good internet. But I haven't ever tried connecting to other Xbox players to see how that goes

Hi, just got a pc and downloaded Deep Rock, but all of the mission timers on the server list are displaying negative numbers and quick search claims there is a network error, however I'm fully connected to the internet and other games have no issue.

Seems to me that the game has some serious network issues that need to be addressed. Constant disconnects on Xbox 1 and usually only 8-9 servers at any given time.
And usally 1/2 of the listed servers are RU or AU servers. Im in the US.

Those aren't servers, those are other players hosting games. Can't help with the network error mission timers situation. I've never seen that one

@rotund dagger They're peer-to-peer servers. Most of them are "dead" servers, with a connection attempt returning nothing but a "Multiplayer session ended" popup. Why are they listed then? I've watched this game evolve for over a year and a half now and one thing has always remained the same... shitty networking.

@neat crater I can agree that things can be better, and I'msorry you're having the issues you've mentioned. My use case is different than yours -- I only ever play with a small group of friends and we're all on the East Coast USA or Europe -- and so far, except for Update 26 and 27 which I stopped playing because of connection issues, I've had very few issues with connecting and staying connected to friends. I've never used matchmaking or the server browser, but that's a bummer to hear there's problems there

Looks like im possibly not the only one, but just in case, is anyone else having issues trying join xbox players from PC? I keep getting "Multiplayer Session Ended" when I try to join them, and the same thing happens to them when they try to join me.

Honestly, I haven't noticed a significant difference, and during Updates 26 and 27 we tried every combination of who was hosting, Xbox, PC, NA, EU trying to stay connected long enough for a deep dive. Prior to those updates I've not noticed enough instances of lag to be memorable. Oddly enough, on Steam two days ago playing with a friend in the midwest US who was hosting, I had some noticable lag. Nothing major, but it felt odd because of how few problems I've had with the Windows Store version
I don't have the best PC, GPU is low midrange and a few years old, but I usually maintain 60 fps at 1080p with all settings max (except maybe shadows?)

Well, I can say that stability is better for Xbox, just played 4 hours nonstop with my friend hosting on Xbox. Initially I got disconnected from the session after joining in the space rig for some reason but after that it was fine besides ping and the consequential climbing issues.
They fixed audio, yeah.
My game runs noticeably worse though.
Runs really well on Steam, but abysmal on Windows Store.
