I didn't expected them to balance the multiplayer mod in such an way that opponent can't just win on turn 1. You have extra candles as if being an boss yourself. So if you dump all cards for 5 damage and ignore board, scale resets to 0 and you cant win as long opponent keep hitting you to balance out scales
