It looks so alien because: They hunt at night, they don't stand out in the dark and they fly silently. other birds have good eyesight on day to catch their prey but owl prefers seing in the hard to see darkness. Also their feathers are very different then other birds. And that signature full head rotation to see around.

I 100% agree that in most contexts it is a legitimately unhelpful thing. On the side of the person receiving it, it feels bad. I will not deny that. I have been told repeatedly through playthrough of Elden ring and hk/ss to just “get good” I mean even hornet says so XD. It sucked and it felt like I gained nothing, but in the end, the only way to improve is to try and try and try. I wanted to radiant (aka hitless when the boss has more health) hornet sentinel (hornet 2) and could not get past a few hits into phase 2. No matter how hard I tried. I put at least 100 attempts in. I tried looking up resources or tips or guides or whatever the hell. All of the tips I got were things I already knew. Things I already learnt FROM FIGHTING THE BOSS. Sure they might have helped me beat the boss. Sure they might have helped me get close to beating the harder double damage version, but they wouldn’t help me with hitless. And at that point. At that moment, all I could do was “get good.” The only improvement I could make was making myself better. Some people use it as a way to put others down. However, in at least the hk/ss community, it is a legitimate piece of advice. You can only learn so much from others before you have to improve by yourself. You have to “get good.” If every time you hear those words and become defensive, maybe it is less the intention of the other person you care about, and more a fragile ego you are hiding. Think about drg for example. I could tell you the meta and how exactly to play to clear max haz 5+, clear modded difficulties, whatever, but being told that won’t make you improve inside the game.

You must practice and get good inside the game to be able to do those things. So instead of attacking me for defending the fact that some ppl use it in a positive way, or with hk/ss as a meme that makes the community more tight knit, try to get in on the “joke.” Trust me, ppl who say it are just trying to help. If you look back after clearing smth you were told “get good” on, what advice would you give those ppl who are struggling the same way you did? Can you even think of a single thing you could say? Or is it just one small thing that can’t be communicated? Smth that can’t be taught? Smth that has to be experienced by the player. Smth that you can guide them towards but can’t give them. Most games require a “click” in the brain. A puzzle piece finding its spot. You can’t put that piece there for the person, and so “get good” becomes the only solution to the problem. Like the video I sent in the other chat that I will resend, watch it. See the response to the complaints. Don’t get angry towards me, don’t get hateful, don’t ignore the video. Keep an open mind. If you still have issues then, say them. But if you are just going to be hard headed and ignore what I have to say or what points I make bc you have a fragile ego or smth, then don’t respond. Don’t continue antagonizing for no reason if you aren’t trying to learn or teach anything. If all you’re saying is “you’re wrong” then simply stop speaking. I clearly don't recommand cocktails for a first taste. The sugar in 'em leads to more intense hangovers, and can just lull you into more drinking because you'd see the cocktail as a more balanced version of a soft drink. It's a real pipeline for disaster.

If you plan to drink alcohol due to peer pressure, ask for a bar. A sensible bartender will understand that you don't want alcohol if you ask him about it, and could give you mocktails / alcohol free beer.

It's not a perfect solution, and you shouldn't have to lie about it nor cave to peer pressure, but we're not living in a perfect world.

Don't mind the horrible graphics and edit. Is cooshees are an known fictional furry animal? Its basically an elven husky, has pointier ears, has green fur and brown spots.
