An interesting thing about... the Thing is that we never really see its true form. We see something that's probably similar to it, but it's always while it's using the flesh of its hosts, never on its own.

Speaking of, just the sheer extent of its ability to assimilate. Every individual cell is taken over and replaced entirely, with it being able to control each and every one of said cells, which potentially leads to wild mutations when it finally feels the need to defend it.

Now, WHY is it on Earth? We... don't actually know. What we DO know however, is that it's certainly not of Earth origin, if the jury-rigged flying saucer Blair-Thing was building is any indication. I'm not sure if it wants to infect everything on Earth or if it just... wants to bugger off and escape the planet. We never really hear anything come straight from the Thing's mouth, just it mimicking others.

We have: A creature from another world, of which we never see its true form, never hear its true motives, hell we never even get to hear anything that's directly just... from the Thing.

I did it once from the first level (not the hq the other first one), thing is i finished most levels unoptimally, i was too clumsy to use movement tech so my loadout was shotguns and missile launcher with ammo gland, i tend to rocket jump to reach places and somehow game designed rocket jump heigh exactly enough to reach places high up. My aim is too bad to headshot people from distance or when they move alot so i ended up rely on shotguns to hope pellets touch head. Currently only remaining upgrade for me to get is the last one that must be located in trauma loop, i have two weapons left to unlock which i had transactional rifle before but i wasnt rich enough to do any damage to boss. And i dunno about the last hidden weapon in trauma loop
