I’m personally a Magnum lover for both Zealot and Psyker

Gun Psyker is just me allowing myself to go sickomode, throwing knives into the horde, venting to set everyone on fire, and reserving my Magnum for far elites or Specialists

I take Revolver for the same reason why I take Zealot knives for my Hammer build and use it basically the same way; everything else in the Zealot’s loadout besides Shroud has an amount of Crowd Control/Swarm Clear potential where my gun doesn’t really need to help any further.

Sulfur seems to be one of those games where fucking around and finding out is just as important as the actual gameplay loop of "shooting shit in the face, grabbing loot and skidaddle."

There's a tiny little gun you can find called the Flicker. It only takes up one slot, which is very nice.

Now, there's three main ways of upgrading a gun in Sulfur.

Attachments, Oils and Scrolls.

Attachments are what you'd expect from a funny shooty-shooty bang-bang game.

Scopes, barrels, laser sights, that sort of thing. Except there's one teeny tiny problem.

Can't remove 'em once they're attached, so far as I know at least.

Oils and Scrolls are where the real fun begins.

Oils apply modifiers to your guns and the effects can vary quite a bit. Mainly stat-based stuff. A lot of the oils have an upside and downside though, so be careful with how you tweak it.

Scrolls meanwhile apply even crazier effects. Leaving lava on the floor, making your shots home in on enemies, causing chain lightning and so on and so forth.

However you can't just freely apply these effects, as each gun has a rank system. The more things you kill, the more you level up its rank and the more oils you can slap on to it.

Two things to note though. Enhancements increase how quickly your gun will wear out (yes, there's a durability system but you don't lose your gun if it breaks). You can also only apply one scroll to a gun.

Sulfur as you can tell, has a lot of nonsense.

Another thing, if Smite’s overguard strip works on the helminth version, that could be a game changer for frames like Banshee and Limbo. Qorvex will also take the new smite very well

I put fallout on wisp, tried to play her when new augment was released, beam with aoe ball is fun. Also rads give a lot of orbs, even level 1 arcane

Haven't played wukong much. And melee frames overall, more like casters and mash skill buttons.
Idk if rad on melee is a good idea. Excal after update have a range slash wave now, can hit from afar multiple targets.

Excal would potentially be a good option since you could mod for rad and influence to spread status like mad, but it’s a niche thing. When would excal really need to generate orbs for his team? Also rad is not usually worth it on a melee because of influence but if you focus on crit damage instead of status effects it might be more passable

Honestly I get why you wouldn’t want to play melee frames, they’re all kind of the same lol, maybe except Sevagoth

Tbh, depends on a mission and idk, vibe.
But yeah, melee frames mostly hold melee button and stand in front of an enemy, maybe I missed something
