The way the “cameraman” manages to follow what’s supposed to be a high-speed living projectile without losing scale,
Or putting focus on certain areas of a scene with a bunch of dudes getting beat up without that weird “cut after every punch” thing is neat to me.
But yeah most of Lex Luthor’s intelligence other stories would display is kinda undercut,
First because it’s not shown or told how much of his assets he built (save for the Pocket Dimension) (with his own hands or not), unless implied through certain references (i.e. the plan to own a country, the Lexcorp/Luthercorp naming),
And for two, the movie assumes we already know of the relationship between Superman and Lex already - so this takes place after Lex is letting all of his pride focus on antagonizing Superman.
He’s technologically smart in most stories, and a cutthroat businessman in others,
But he’s simultaneously an idiot who can’t imagine focusing on real problems as long as Lex knows Superman is sharing a universe with him - a prominent weakness when he fails to consider that his enemies might have friends.
