Anyway, having a an extraction mission with ore to mine instead of carriable object could be fun as well since having a mission without MULE is very original.
mule customisation when
I reconize it would be fun to unlock different kind of MULE depending on our player level. Imagine a War MULE which has a turret implemented, an Exploration MULE which cast a peripherical light to unlit the cave like a permanent flare, things like that.
Fearful MULE decorated with parts of dreadnought to fear glyphids.
Okay so I've been playing Monster Hunter so maybe that influences this suggestion. But I'd love to see a helmet or a set of armor made from Praetorian's shell.

@mint falcon if you like MH or want to get into it - the game itself is freakin amazing - but the PC optimization is a bit of a nightmare, multiplayer is a struggle half the time as well. So let that be your guide - the game itself is PRIMO

Cave leeches, to make them even more of a nuissance. Would eat your flares if thrown in their reach, they'd also eat loot bugs and in order to get the ores you must kill the leeche
I think I could even add this to the suggestion even if it may make all the comunity hating me... having leeches spawning on the walls or in the ground too instead of being only hidden on the ceiling?

It could be interesting to see a biome which is actually somekind of technologic devices cemetery where all the dwarves' broken vessels or devices go and rot. A place full of trashes and rusted metals remains.

Certainly some minerals buried under the remains. And how about some rare devices'core, or even new kind of minerals/plant that grows on metal objects.
We could fight new enemies like crazy machines, hostile turrets. And sometimes if players are lucky enough, finding directly ammunation instead of nitra.
Who will put ammunition into trash?
Unused ammunation pod ? Test ? Accident ? Or even a vain attempt to set up a colony

I wouldn't be surprised to find they managed to eject some useful supplies after a late night in the abyss bar

Hey this has probably be said a lot but I can’t be bothered to read half the chat but some way to change your armour or weapon colour like some kind of skin or camo changer coz I main scout but the blue jump suit looks like ass, also maybe the ability to change class weapons like give the scout a sniper rather than a shoty or the gunner a machine pistol rather than a hand cannon just a few random ideas I had while playing Thanks for reading this dreadfully long post

I set high volume for game sounds and lower it in settings unlike voice volume which is set to high level cause a lot of players have quiet micros. Therefore, these logo screens at the start of the game became very loud. I'm agree with @inner estuary .
You could give those glyphid swarmers some wings, that way they swarm you like flies rather than ants
or just let them crawl on you

Hello I tried the new biome "Glacial Strata" and it looks amazing, but ... I feel like the destruction of the ice breaking under our feet is too weak to deals real problems to our dwarves ...
now? They used to be immune to everything except fire and even then they were nearly impossible to hit
mentioned in #drg-chat but deep snow should really have some kind of outlining to differentiate it from other terrain you can walk on
maybe make it's hue darker or some other graphical tweak, but there should be a way of clearly denoting it.
A remodel for the glyphid swarms, when the mactera came they looked so much more detailed that glyphids it put them to shame honestly, not asking for a complete rehaul like what happened before. Just a few extra things here and there. Like spikes on the edge if a warriors plates, tiny wings on the swarmers etc

The platform gun is the one mobility weapon I have an issue with, the only people to use it regularly are the scout and engi, and the scout only needs em to get deposits here and there. I find myself more frustrated when i accidentally fire a platform into someone and i become trapped inside it. Platforms just don't feel as useful as i thought they would
not sure what i'd do to fix it, but i dont know if adding damage to the mix would make it better

I don't have too many issues with the platform gun just 'cause it's an interesting take, as it stands we have two "zipline" weapons(grappling hook and zipline do the same thing basically, one just creates a static emplacement) but it could do with a bit of tweaking
sometimes it likes to hit the wrong piece of terrain and I have to waste ammo to fix it, sometimes it decides to fire above my head because I hit that one pixel in front of what I was aiming at, and as you said sometimes on misfires you end up stuck inside it
I feel like it's the generation of the platform that could use work? or maybe the basic functionality needs some tweaking? not sure but the concept works, the execution needs a bit of tlc
i instantly liked the idea of the platform gun, i just find people opt to use their own mobility more frequently then the plattys, it's a great idea..
i wonder if they could add various types of platforms... like a bounce platform, a platform that reduces fall damage, some interesting stuff like that...
there are more mobility obstacles that pop up through gameplay than just needing to reach heights and cross gaps, it'd be cool to have some more utility since engi is my least played class
as someone who mains engi, i frequently find myself low on platforms by the end of missions even when playing with a full party, it just comes down to how you use them i guess
i use them as much as possible when i do play him, dont get me wrong. I just find that others don't use them as much as their own tools, save for gunner due to his low zipline ammo

I dont get why the platform gun doesnt 1 shot glyphids, if that glob was hucked into your mouth at incredible speed, and hardening inside you. Literally foam concrete, you'd die

that being said it would be somewhat amusing for the platforms to do some negligible damage to things getting hit directly

Am I missing something, or on the xbox/win10 version is a party not allowed to queue for a match together? Every time I try quick join it breaks the party up, and unlike the steam version the win10 version doesn't have a server browser

@compact saffron If you are in a party with friends, you can select a mission, and then it will be possible for others to quick join, which will keep your current party
if it were ever possible, can you put in a warning that creates the same fog as in Silent Hill or Stranger Things that severely limits the view distance of the dwarves? i'd imagine with all the heat in the magma core, the fungus bogs (being right next to it on the map) would ignite from being dried out or at least create a lot of mist/ fog banks

minitasks, that can be a fun mission type, so what happens is that you have about 5 tasks to complete or more but these are diffrent for everyone so let's say there's a 4 players squad and they finished all of the 4 minitasks and the last one is a team one that is unlocked through every player finishing their quests and the last missions can be harder than the ones you do solo because It's a team quest.

Like everyone has one quest and when everyone has finished their quests one big or main quest unlocks and the whole team does that mission and they win that way
and they can assist each other but It's risky

What would you do about people joining midway, also don't you feel that would hurt the "team" aspect of the game if everyone was wandering doing their own mission
If there's an option like that I'd strongly prefer it be optional or a bonus, failing a mission due to someone being slower or unlucky seems very unattractive to me

We desperately need more content. Just after 40 hours of playing. The game is getting boring, unlike other game like tf2 l4d2 or payday

I'm at 52hours and still haven't all the upgrades and i'm far away from all class lvl 20 and fully upgraded
And when I want to chill, i play to this game, because i love farming (and digging ^^)
And try haz4, with shield disruption, you'll have a great challenge.

What if glyphids somehow got into the space rig as a special "alien" gamemode?
Like, they infested a area of the rig and your squad needs to go in and destroy a hive nest or something
Imagine a glyphid, you have to search for it in the map, and the longer you take to find it, the more powerful it will be.
Or it can be a glyphid that can evolve 3 times, like, at the stage 1 it would try to run away from player after fighting them and became low life and for stage 2 it would be the same as stage 1

Consider using bullet points to separate more of you ideas, especially when listing.
I like the suggestions for more weapon customization, and the unique nitra drops are neat as well, although I worry the battle nitra drops might cause players to be in a seriously difficult situation for ammo, especially when anyone can call a drop.
To fix this I'd recommend all the nitra drops be a different form of the already existing supply drop.
40 nitra => heal only, no ammo
80 nitra => standard drop
120 nitra => standard drop with armed turret
For the various bullet types I worry about classes that don't use as much bullets like driller or the explosive weapons on engie. If the bullets are chanced based for each it seems like gunner will trigger the effects much more than other classes.
Lastly for the support class people remember that your class will not have a mobility option, making it the least mobile class in the game, and I'm not terribly clear how it would fit in terms of AoE or focus fire damage as well as ammo efficiency.
@ripe axle, you think that having 40 nitra heal pod is good? Well. What if you got a stupid dwarf that doesn't let you get ammo by summoning health pod every time your nitra reaches 40?

@ripe axle the bullet types has their stats/number chances changed around for each class. For a weapon like the mini gun, it might only be a 0.5% chance to activate, where on a shotgun with 8 shots it might be 8% chance. It would keep it semi-equal in terms of how often it triggers.
For the movement, driller also has no movement capability, as well an engineer. The gunner’s grapples are meant to help everyone else have more movement.
In addition to flip's idea? Maybe have drop pods supply health/ammo as a volume you take from rather then a package that gives you 50% of what you can carry. That way ammo and health can be better spread across the team based on their need?
Driller is the second most mobile class imo besides scout, engie has no issue climbing or descending with his platforms, both are pretty mobile...
For the critical weakness mutator, instead of having them naturally take more damage. Have it so that the glyphids in the area are infected with a virus that gives them green pustuels on them that if shot deals extreme damage. So theres an actual reason to having them take more damage
Also cause critical weakness makes praetorians a giant marshmellow
When i first got drg. And played the tutorial, it did teach me a lot on the basics. But most of the things in this game you learn on your own, like the characters special tools. How to kill certain enemies etc
So i hope that theres a tutorial expansion

Also as a MAP UPGRADE: Boarders of unexplored terrain could be painted red. So if you went halfway down a tunnel and looked at your map, the boarder where you stopped would be red, letting you easily identify areas you have not explored.
New here, recently tried out the Glacial Strata and it's really fun. Not sure if this has been brought up before, but Driller's flamethrower should be able to warm up themselves and their mates.
I think the audio needs a look over; specifically, some maps (read: the desert biomes) perhaps could have a quiet sound of wind blowing, maps have quiet, distant chittering and shrieks, footsteps echo more, and in the larger caverns the dwarves voices (and all of the noises) echo in the massive chambers where relevent-so the swamp ones wouldn't, the sand/salt ones probably wouldn't echo unless it's a big one (?) but something like the magma biomes would.
I think it would help quite a bit with immersion.

theres been way to many times where me and my buddies lose a game because of some leech we couldnt see

You can damage the tongues of leeches, you don't have to hit just the leech itself, I mined one to death once
They make lovely metallic plinking noises when you pickaxe them
I much prefer playing dodgems with the leeches

There is a way to often release yourself on the way up if you shoot with most weapons
Doing so will drop you from midair however
i think it would be great if you could pick up satchel charges because many times i have put one down and then never used it
With this Ice content I can´t stop thinking about integrating TRAPS into the World Generation. Ice that breaks under your feet and makes you fall, spikes that fall from the ceiling and dmg you, quicksand and other environmental agents that can´t be seen and require qick teamwork action to be overcome.

No, I got passed between two grabbers for almost 5 minutes during extraction once
Youve probably noticed that things are darker the closer they are to you, farther away. Get more grey (hey that rhymed!) Meaning you can usualy see the outline of a leech den if you look to the ceiling before heading into another cave
This may sound dumb, but when you change the models can we get a new cool background for the starting screen? Like a render with the new dwarves, doing a mock-up of the current cover picture with them posing? I wouldn't mind having an animated background switching between the retro cover, and a new cover.

#suggestions (1) When a player are the leader and quit, need to transfer the ownership of the leader instead of ending the multiplayer session for everyone.
#suggestions (2) Sometimes i've been kicked by one guy because it doesn't work how he want. Could you modify the kicking session with other other players Voting (like in other game - in diablo 3, it asked to kick the user for (reason specified)).
#suggestions (3) We need to have a "Last Players" list when we play in multiplayers for adding or sending a message to that player. I've played with French peoples want to add them, but Steam doesn't like that player. Sometimes Steam are not updated with all the latests player. But, we need to have our own way to add player, or search for a player into the game.

but for the 2nd, i'm often the host because i start playing alone (because i see no servers) and when someone just play alone, and rush alone or just don't listen to what you're saying, it's frustating if you can't just kick that person

Hello everyone. I doubt I’m the only one that does this but I really prefer to play the game with HUD disabled, I feel it adds to the atmosphere. The only issue I have with this feature is that it disables all in game voice sounds; cheers, mission control announcements, etc. I suggest that disabling HUD only disable visual HUD elements and no ingame sounds whatsoever. For every bad perk you can get point. Fоr any good perk you spend one.
So after any missions with these "perks" you get additional bonus like + x*[amount of Ppoints] in percents.
Of course you can get negative amount of Ppoints. Then the same formula will work.
Any think a endless mode with golden bugs would be fun...no nitra supplies get dropped in every so often or after so many kills and the further you go the bigger the bugs get......and the company name really should be GMI Galactic Mining Inc.

New biome: sulphur pits. Been playing some guildwars and the Desolation got me thinking. It would be a cavern with deep grey rock (harder to mine?) with toxic pits or sulphur to choke and suffocate our favourite space-squats. What could make it interesting (and different to the magma fields) is the sulphur could be only in generated 'pools' or 'valleys' and perhaps damage players even if they're just above them-so no firing platforms straight onto the surface and forgetting about it until an explody-bug or demo charge goes off on it.
Hey, I looked over the roadmap going forward, and I just wanted to say that I hope lore entries will be done in the style of Brigador. That game got lore entries nailed down 100%, short and to the point, very fun to read. It has quite a bit of it too. We should be able to buy some upgrade for the space station : Per example, you start with a desolated space station, you just have access to the upgrade terminal, and the more minerals you earn, the more the space station would be "greater" and in a better condition
Or, suggestion for the abyss bar, you'll can drink some beer, which have an impact on your character, like, it can give you xp x2 for a mission, and you could have more expensive drink that will boost xp x2 for the whole team
Also that would be great for the roleplay to be able to join server on the abyss bar, like you're someone who is recruited on a mission

Replace Driller's pick with an upgrade to his drills which allows for ore collection - fuel is not consumed when mining ore.

Toxicity meter similar to temperature meter (except starting empty) would help making fungus bogs less annoying if it didn't purely disable shield regen. As for full toxicity from praetorian or fungus bogs could either play "sick animation" requiring time where player is stunned to throw up or something or have negative impacts such as movespeed

I think a Prestige System would be nice, so that you can reset your classes and get maybe a permanent buff for it like 5% faster mining or more max health. At the moment I have unlocked every Upgrade for every class and I am also max level with every class and I noticed that I cant complete the new challenge for Perk Points, where you have to buy upgrades because in before I already have them all. But most importantly I think it would be fun to level all the classes up again and start from scrach. Also it would be nice to show off in public matches, when you are for Example Prestige III Scout and have a special Skin or aura around you 😄

Glacial strata inadvertedly shows how lackluster some of the old biomes are. We should fix that.
Salt pits: Pits are the most empty and boring of all the biomes, but instead of just throwing stuff in it that barely makes thematic sense, instead lean into it and lay up the emptiness by making it a barren wasteland. Enemy spawns are halved, and swarms cannot appear. However, Nitra does not spawn either, and your team starts with 80 for just one resupply call, making ammo very limited. Salt pits are now about making the absolute most from the very little you have

Going to post here the idea of making the Driller pistol a burst pistol or a submachine gun, would definitely make more people use it more often since it would require less clicks to get the damage out, making it seem less of a constant click adventure.

It would be really nice if Sheild Disruption missions disrupted an amount of shield equal to the hazard you chose. Hazard one could reduce shields by 25%, Hazard two 50% and so forth.

Glacial Strata needs balanced. If all you did was remove exploders it would be balanced. Or add frost exploders that don't kill you instantly in shield disruption.
@weary oak it's one of the nifty new bonuses they added recently. It adds a fun new mechanic but it can be really hard if you don't have a skillful team or access to lots of red sugar.

^yeah since he's a mobile red sugar dispenser, it needs to be less potent
but in reality the devs boosted the red sugar spawn rates just for this reason - people complained getting health was too hard

Also another small suggestion, having number dials on health bars and shield so you can define whether you got shield lost health a bit more easily

what about a space level, where you mine asteroids or space debree caught in orbit. ofcourse there is a time limit how long can you stay in space until the oxygen runs out. also there wouldn't be any glyphids, the only danger is some high speed rocks that could i dunno crack the space helmet, in wich you need ductape, wich only the engineer should have. also, jetpack fuel should be a thing then, but you will be equipt with a space zipine (gunner) to connect to objects, and a space grappling hook(scout).
also a space drill for the driller.
the engineer should have a refueling platform.

Almost everything in that suggestion sounds like something the devs would have to build from scratch beyond the biome, building a system with the intent of using it in one biome I think is also a bad idea

Discord isn't made for suggestions, but I still think we can work around that relatively easily. Once again, here's my bot idea suggestion.
Two channels, Suggestions_Showcase and Suggestions_Discussion.
Suggestions showcase is locked, only posts are from dev and a bot. Suggestions discussion is open, people discuss and propose an idea here. If other people approve of their idea or writeup they are encouraged to 👍 it, simiarally you can disprove of an idea with a 👎 which negates a 👍. With enough thumbs up the bot (I'd set the threshold at say 5) the idea gets reposted by the bot into the Showcase channel.
What does this add?
- filtering of ideas, devs get a relatively streamlined list of ideas rather than the mess in between, also hopefully it'll be the most polished version of the idea after some discussion before submission
- visible dev interaction
Devs have a place to talk where the community can very easily see, reinforces idea that the devs actually do care and do read the ideas. - If people think their ideas are being heard it encourages further development of ideas which will generate a virtuous cycle.

I play a lot of hunt showdown and they did a free weekend couple weeks ago along w a discount and they basically doubled the player base... i actually got 5 of my friends to buy it.
So i hope you would consider it. Because i find hard to some players to buy early access games ... it happens w my firends... and i think this is the kind of games you enjoy the most playing w friends.
That sounds like a good idea but I'd definitely recommend it be done in moderation. While it can be fun to have a crazy weekend even, It'd suck to look forward to playing DRG all week and then end up getting frustrated in pubs by newer unexperienced players
i feel adding in an option for hosts to set a level access on (example being setting it to 10 would allow players with a player rank of 10 or higher to join) would guarantee you would be matched with players of a level closer to yours albeit could cause more waiting to get players of the desired level but its food for thought none the less

I agree with your idea kagen, I lost an elimination haz4 because of a noob joining and doing nothing good. At the final he took a slot in the team for nothing.
And we lost the mission xD
looking at the way DRG is set up the problem could rise from a rank 10 player joining with a rank 1 scout, implying that even if you got a player familiar with the game he wont be familiar with the character, meaning the level management option would hit a bump in this particular circumstance... the obvious fix would be "add Dwarf level limits" but then you would shut down a player from learning another character in this instance
albiet when i think about the whole host setting this option i guess a non restrictive quick match would solve that

A reasonable idea Kagen; I suggest an alternative concept however. Some kind of 'mentor' system that rewards a more experienced miner helping his junior. I won't lie, I'm not entirely sure how it would work (off the top of my head, a 5 perk point thing for every X games done with a low ranked player?) but basically something to encourage players to mix, instead of encouraging division.

for early access games that aren't youtube bait that's not too shabby imo
so now imagine we've broken that up by rank, and imagine what that would do to people's ability to find a game, and how badly that would discourage new players
Hence I suggested a way to encourage vastly different experience level players to mingle. If the game was larger it would work, and might be wanted, but at the moment, word of mouth about good experiences is paramount. We don't want people to think we're a wannabe star citizen community. D:

Thermal Flare is a better name. It looks like one person suggested being able to carrying a secondary type of flares that heat you, and another mentioned Thermal Flare, but not how it would be integrated on 05/01/2018.
But most of my reasoning for mentioning it here is because I wanted to see other's opinions on the idea (something that I can't seem to find via search.)
Making flares heat you would mess things up for other biomes where you don't want to be heated
Also I don't like the idea of a biome specific upgrade
I prefer the ideas for the supply drop acting like a heating source if you want an instant heat source
That way it's more of a decision and commitment
But you can still counter a blizzard that way by being prepared

New Supply Drop types:
For 40 nitra, call in a healing station that will heal over time in a set area around it. Also heals shield at a slow pace.
For 120 nitra, call in a moving drone that flies above you and shoots enemies.
Click 5 again to cycle through the types of drops.

Ive stated the reasons previously, but essentially having nitra spending that doesn't resupply means someone could potentially spend nitra leaving a team in a situation where they're severely drained on ammo

Is it possible to Make engineer's platform 5%-10% bigger? They like to stick half way into the wall, unless that is the intended effect, otherwise they are working perfectly
Also I have another Idea of a creature/structure that could be offensive in caves. It could be like some sort of wall that is alive and is able to harm passing players. It would be a camouflaged texture of the same type of rock on the Islands(Levels/Dungeons), with some slight differences so it can be noticed to the keen of eye. Or maybe a worm camouflaged in rock to do harm to by passing players.
that has been suggested before and cave leeches are kind of like that, also to keep it from being a random chance team execution, perhaps the worm enemy that has been suggested should only spawn during swarms

What about a dwarf that's ability is to find well hidden minerals? Maybe a more advanced 3d map that highlights points of interest. It could be their special ability as a less combat oriented support class.

Could there be a way to make terrain scanner more "readable" in complex cave systems? Since it became 3D, it's gone from easily understandable to "What am I even looking at" :c
I find it not that bad, just takes a bit of getting used to. You should be aware that to find new caves with it look for tunnels/bits that awkwardly end, and that you can zoom in/out with the mouse
Personally I simply face the opposite direction that I'm looking for to get the easy autoangle then zoom out
Any class suggestion => needs way more than just a utility item suggestion, for that reason I'm going to instead suggest that any form of a "terrain scanner" be moved to a grenade idea instead.
My personal grenade idea would be each player having a limit of 4 grenades but being able to customize what those 4 are before each departure. Types could include highly explosive, incendiary, slow field, pheromones (cause them to clump/be distracted), sticky/proximity, and said scanner idea.

Can we get an option be added to turn down verbosity/frequency of random voice responses? Or at least consider if some need to be toned down. I have been playing the game a lot and while voice responses for important game events such as being attacked by a leech, dying, or calling the MULE are useful voicelines, the excessiveness of particular voice lines especially the scout's flare gun is quite repetitive.

Can we get a bit more voice chat feedback? Currently it's only visible in-cave as a speaker icon next to player's names and a faint blue dot on the pause screen but it's difficult to tell:
- When someone is talking while in the lobby, without opening pause menu.
- Who is talking in-cave: Having an icon appear over a player's model would allow easier tracking of which dwarf is saying what. Currently the only workaround is to press X whenever you speak over voice chat.
- When you are using push to talk. It sounds redundant but having a visual and/or audible feedback of when push to talk is pressed gives the impression that the communication feature is working. The blue indicator doesn't pop up when using push to talk in menus so this is confusing as to whether or not push to talk can be used in these situations
- When you are using voice activity. There is no feedback to the player when their microphone is picking up their voice from their microphone except the faint blue dot on the ESC menu.
It's also impossible to tell if voice communication can be used during post and pre-mission animations, as the HUD disappears. Text chat also gets sketchy (it's possible to open chat window and type but it's invisible, while completely disabled at others times?) Would be far more nice to be able to talk to teammates during these animations.

Can clip size be included on the upgrade screen for all weapons? It's a bit unorthodox how it's displayed. Currently "Max Ammo" stat just refers to maximum reserve ammo, not maximum total ammo. Maximum total ammo is reserve ammo + clip ammo. For example, the Scout's GK2 has a "max ammo" of 300 but also has a clip of 25 already loaded, resulting in the total effective ammo being 325.
So for a weapon such as the Gunner's Zipline Gun which has one round in the chamber and three reserve, it has a total of 4 uses. However its maximum ammo count listed on the upgrade screen is only "3". Same goes for the Scout's flare gun, which only lists its maximum ammo as 12, when the gun comes loaded with 3, bringing the ammo count to 15.
This isn't reflective of the total amount of uses of the weapon/tool nor does it give an accurate result of how much is refilled by a supply drop (in the Gunner's case, 2 ziplines are replenished by the +50% ammo packs)
Could the gunner's minigun muzzle flash be reduced a bit?
Whenever I shoot things at a distance (especially in the dark) the muzzle flash is so bright I can't see what/where my target is.
I assumed that was intended to make it more difficult to use, but yeah it's blinding and you can't see anything.
I just thought of another region and enemy type: The "REDACTED" Region or Underbelly region. A near off-limit mining zone that lacks nearly all forms of natural light and have various traps like breakaway cobblestone that gives way to aliens underneath - an alien like a sarlacc or something like that.
and the new type or breed of alien, NOCTURNAE: Aliens with dark grey skin and black carapaces that make very little noise when walking but when light shines on them they make a creepy screech and start moving faster. Which would be interesting for a Leech creature. An alien that shaped like a Alien Slug / Leech that slithers and does overtime damage to the Dwarves, more leeches attached = faster DoT dealt to dwarf
the idea is that this is a bit of a nerve racking region and Deep Rock Galactic does not recommend any recruit to mine there.

I suggest a new game mode. Search and destroy. You and the other dwarves are deployed to kill a Queen bug that lays thousands of eggs protected by three dreadnaughts.
No don't do that! That would wreck the whole idea of the Scout. His value would shift, not really change for the better. I play the scout the most, for whatever that is worth, and I certainly disagree with this idea. For starters, I find the true value of the scout in his mobility, and the biggest thing the scout has to watch out for is the player's tendency to "lone wolf" it. The scout could easily get ahead, or fall behind, and just grapple out of any trouble... but when you ignore the urge to abandon your team you find the scout's true value. No other class is better suited for medic duty. If a dwarf is down during a fight, the other dwarves and their firepower can divert attention away while you, as a scout, are given a chance to grapple in and help a fellow bearded brother back onto his feet. The scout also has the ability to work together with the engineer's platform gun to negates the advantages that Dwarfuriouso mentioned. No need to change it to a limited number of ropes that stay in place, because it already has it's mining tendencies limited to a degree by the amount of platforms the engineer has left. I hate to sound rude, or negative, but I am certainly against all of these changes being made to the scout.
also @icy elk, that's basically just a harder version of elimination. a good idea, maybe, but need more differentiation to it. 😃

You have to kill the 3 dreadnaughts protecting her first but you don’t kill her using conventional weapons. You blow her up along her whole fucking nest. Mule will be carrying a 20 megaton thermonuclear bomb of dwarvin design. Once its planted you have 5 minutes to get outta there.
You have to take the bomb off mule, place it in its designated spot and arm it.

That queen search and destroy thing is actually a very cool idea, I frequently do elimination by opening all three on haz 4 with Mactera Plague on so having a sort of mutation to that would be excellent for experienced players to band together and fight through it. Maybe that could be an unlockable mission for after you level up everyone to 20? I like the idea a lot @icy elk
I actually have a suggestion for the 5th class. A sniper class, with a heavy rail gun of sorts clearing multiple enemies with one shot, or a high damage single shot weapon to kill elites faster /at a longer distance.
with trip mines as his explosive weapons. Make it a trapper/hunter variation if you want to go down the rabbit hole that far

When the flamethrower kills an enemy it immediately begins the ragdoll despawn where it appears to disintegrate rather than after, right? This also applies to the praetorian, which has an after death effect of acid which despite the flamethrower effect yeah.
Why not make the flamethrower effect actually make the praetorian not have an after death effect, ie making it useful to have a driller in combat with a praetorian rather than another class.
As for my earlier suggestion, yes that was it. Guess I should try better key words when searching.
