I have been having an issue where I can not join any online matches on Deep Rock. It is only when I am on my PC.

• uninstalling and reinstalling the game
• uninstalling and reinstalling Xbox app
• Running the game as an administrator
• launched the game with all virus and firewalls off incase that was blocking it
  I can play other Xbox games (tried powerwash simulator 2) online
  I can play Deep Rock when on my laptop.
  Any ideas on how to fix this? It seems to be new with the update as I was able to play on my PC 2 weeks ago.

I've been suffering from game crashes on occasion and they always occur during extraction!

Luckily I play with a friend and the devs included a feature to reboot the game and get right back in.
But the annoying part is that's it's always during extraction, next during the mission.
The game with just freeze, I'll jokeingly yell out for Bosco to tag in and leave my friend stuck holding off outside the drop pod waiting for me to re join.

Fortunately I've yet to run out of time but came close last night on the last section of a deep dive so figured it's best I ask around for advice on why my game chooses these moments to crash?

Same as the person above me, I've been having this problem since yesterday. When I last launched it last Wednesday (February 18th), everything was still fine.

Currently, my Assignment Board shows Assignment Unavailable and my Deep Dive Terminal shows The Deep Dives Database Could Not Be Reached. I still have my levels, cosmetics, and gear loadouts, however.

The game is also launching without the ongoing Lunar Festival event, so the Space Rig is undecorated and it's no longer displaying the limited-time assignment(s).

• My internet connection is stable
• My DRG is allowed through the firewall.
• I don't have mods

I've tried:

• Verifying the game files
• Restarting the game and Steam
• Restarting my internet
• Rebooting the computer
• Reverting to a save from Feb 18 (I remember there was a big Steam outage on Feb 20)
• Re-synced the system clock (it's already set to Automatic)
• Restarting the modem

I run Linux Mint 22 and drg has only ran twice, one time I forget what launch settings I used and the second I made it through a mission with some lag, then the game froze at the mission results screen. I've tried chamging drivers, reinstalling steam and drg, all kinds of proton and direct x/no direct x combos. I'm getting discouraged...

Nah, its not guaranteed. I used to think that too, but eventually you wont get one and then they seem to hardly ever show up. Thats my experience anyways

Crazy though, so every season pass prior to current is unattainable and if you want to do the rest of the cosmetic trees it will take you years to do so. Lol, thats amazing.

During a Heartstone mission, I fell down on top of the Drilldozer. Bosco focused on reviving me, but since the Drilldozer was still moving, Bosco couldn't complete the revive. Because it was stuck in the reviving animation/logic, it couldn't defend the Drilldozer from the glyphids either because of this. The bugs eventually destroyed the Drilldozer and I failed the mission. ||this happened on last stage of deepdive 💔 ||

Appears that sometimes when you join into someone elses mission that you will not get credit for doing that mission if you had it for an assignment. Happened to me earlier in the day and just happened to a rando that joined my lobby after we finished his mission. Had to redo the mission for it to count

In the new heavy extraction mission, i just called the drop pod to initiate the escape sequence, but i think a swarm was about to happen right before the escape started. Not sure what happened, but the escape music began playing and then faded out when the swarm arrived. It didnt even play the swarm music, it's just playing the normal ambience music. Really bummed me out when it happened, because my favorite track began to play for the escape, and then it just faded away, making the escape much less exciting. Please fix, thank you

in theory yes, but you are on your own. The game is not making a connection to our backend, so you need to tinker with the connection settings or the ISP. the game uses P2P technology, and perhaps the college is blocking those ports, since they are also sometimes used for piracy

Hey Bjorn, the pitjaw fix is great! My game no longer stutters when pitjaws relocate, however, it seems they will relocate to where terrain once was, so sometimes, they will be a lot more exposed. I had it happen but didnt take a screenshot, I'll try to get some here.

I've been playing DRG with two friends for a month. We are all located in Europe. I've been having issues when playing with one of them being host, that the game suddenly glitches very weirdly, the "in" in network stats becomes zero and then:
1)Enemies just stand on the same place but do the walk animation
2)I can walk, but can't shoot, throw carried items or use flares.
3)Digging does nothing
and etc.
I guess I'm losing the connection to the server? Same happens to my friends when I'm the one hosting the game.
I heard that turning off IPv6 might help, but on my end it's already turned off.

don't really have a list of them but you might wanna look around for unwanted software that could cause issues

additionally, you can try the following :

• Restarting PC.
• Restarting router.
• Making sure the PC has a proper wired connection to the router and internet service.
• Made sure windows update has installed new updates (Windows 11).
• Switching settings in Steam for sharing IP-adress from default to always.
• Turning off IPV6 protocol in Windows 11 settings and in the router.
• Turning off Windows firewall.
• Try to type the following command in CMD "Ipconfig /flushdns"
• Try to type the following in CMD "netsh winsock reset and netsh int ip reset"
• Make sure windows clock is correct.
• Turning on UPNP on the router.
• Turning off any VPN or assimilated.

However I did try to turn off my Windows Defender and run it and its fine now?? I even tried turning it back on and running it again to see if it blocked the new event and it doesn't.... I tried none of them options there is one easy solution that my friends told me to do. Go into Properties then go to General and go down to launch option and select DirectX 11. That solved my problem I can't remember what launcher I had before it stopped working.

Heyas my dwarven fellows. Ummm anybody have this happen? Pic courtesy of a friend. I was the second scout and host. The other player confirmed it was appearing for them as well. Running an elimination we split up, haz 2( don't judge lol). They ran across the bone collector and were in it's lair when I picked a fight with the twins. I guess every time the twins went invulnerable to health share a new bar appeared on their screen. It didn't for me though.

My forge menu UI is broken. I cant see the forge button nor my cursor. The forge ranks bar is also not visible.

I play on linux with proton.

My graphics configs are:

if dont work, try changing the proton to cachyos version, or GE version, or another steam version (hotfix, experimental, X.XX.XX version)
close steam --> install protonplus --> Select steam on top left corner --> install protoncachyos lastest --> when finished close ProtonPlus --> open steam --> go to game settings --> in compatibility select the protoncachyos --> try running the game

sometimes changing proton can solve a lot of problems and give better performance

for me, fixes some playback videos and stuttering, and have a better performance. Sometimes in settings the UI is a little bit off but not a big deal

Once my Doretta did three complete 360-degree spins facing directly downwards. All that was missing was the music from Lynyrd Skynyrd: "FREEEEEEE BIIIIIIIRD YEAH! <electric guitar solo begins>” while we fought a monstrosity of creatures above us (Haz 5 with more enemies).

This is not a bug, it is a feature, and it only happens when Doretta goes to the Abyss Bar without the Management knowing.

I thought I was alone on this. I recently started season 2 again since I need 8 more scripts from data cells. I did two missions recently and it doesn't seem to count that I collect the data cells. I finished season 1 perfectly fine with no issues. Just in case I am on the windows store version.

in december i was still playing the game with my 2 daughters. They have a laptop with an Iris Intel gfx card. It's not great but with some good tweaking they have 50 - 60 fps so it's ok. But since season 6, it's unplayable at all, even in the rig they have around 5 - 10 fps max... I tried every single setting... Nothing works... We can't play anymore...

I have an issue with the game’s FPS going down very sharply whenever I turn the camera enough. This makes it feel a lot like the game is momentarily pausing very time I turn around. This does not noticeably happen with other co-operative shooter games, such as Helldivers 2 or Darktide, which of course are much more hardware-intensive games.

I reinstalled the game, which it did not affect the problem. I changed the game's season, but that didn't do anything. I have tried adjusting my graphics settings, and noted no differences from doing anything there. I limited the game's FPS to 60, but unsurprisingly that only made the problem marginally less noticeable. I tried using the different launch options for the game, but they also did not affect the issue. I am not using any mods.

I cannot recall exactly when this started happening, but I think it occurred sometime into the previous season.

Hi has anyone met with weird turret whip interactions lately? Like after S6 update my turret whip projectiles frequently just ignore any targeting and instead just blast straight up. I initially thought it was because of some turret mods (cosmetic) but after removing them it still happens.

Don't know if anyone has pointed this out before but I'm pretty sure it's a bug - when resinite clears the area it deletes the terrain rather than destroying it (at least that's the terms I'd use), it doesn't drop any of the minerals in the area like the magnite here (you can see it didn't enter any other player's inventory from the bottom numbers staying the same)

First noticed it earlier in the mission when it deleted an entire vein of magnite, then got the perfect opportunity to test it again so thanks cave generation gods

Would this be a bug? I think it's different from how anything else that destroys terrain works but I might be mistaken

Has anyone been getting a bug recently where the Deep Scan scanner won’t show up on your HUD? I’ll still be able to hear the beeping & when I get close, but the sensor won’t be there. It’s happened twice today. Once on a deep dive (the other two people with me said they couldn’t see it either) and again in a normal deep scan mission. I’m playing on Xbox

I'm getting very regular freezes that often lead to crashes. It mostly happens in multiplayer and it freezes pretty much every game and crashes in 1 out of 3 or 4. It occasionally happens in solo but it's rare and never leads to a crash. Map, mission type, and class don't appear to have any impact on it. I'm using the latest version of bazzite

Things I've Tried:

• Restarting computer many times
• Reinstalling DRG 3x
• Reinstalling Proton
• Tried Proton Hotfix, 10, and 8. Switching to 8 seemed to help a little bit, a smaller percentage of the freezes result in a crash
• Clearing shader cache
• Disabling all mods (include a clean install that has never had mods)
• Disable NVIDIA settings in the in-game menu
• Deleting the prefix with rm -rf ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/548430
• Adding -noslate and -nosteamcontroller to the launch options
• Both wifi and ethernet on my computer
• Both DX11 & DX12
• Updating Bazzite
• Resetting ostree

The logs for two crashed games are attached. There seems to be an issue with the Stream P2P socket.

I've done some minor undervolting in the past but I've disabled all that and run a memtest since then so I don't think it's a hardware issue. Plus all my other games run fine

I can't seem to join or invite anyone. It says "joining" and then "multiplayer session ended" for one of us. I tried everything

-Disabled firewall
-Disbanded the team and then invite
-flush dns
-reinstalled the game

-I started it in safe mode so there is no mods
-I even used a different laptop and it still gives the same issue

I am using a hotspot for internet but it isn't slow. It is 5G and has decent speed around 33 Mbps

Nvidia drivers have been absolute trash lately. Unfortunately there’s no way to downgrade just the driver on bazzite that I’m aware of without downgrading the entire OS. I believe the latest driver is 595. I seem to recall 580.## being fairly stable. I think 580.142 just came out. You’ll have to look into this yourself. Stability with my 2080 hasn’t changed in years so I haven’t needed to keep informed.

Hey y’all, need help fixing an issue. I just got the game recently and I remember it crashed on startup, but I put it on dx11 I think? and it worked.

I was able to play for around 3 hours and it played perfectly fine, but now whenever I open the game, it works normal for around two minutes, I hear small crackling/static noises, then either it crashes or crashes my PC.

I’ve tried tons of solutions. The ones I can think of are using Vulkan, updating drivers, updating directx, verifying files, deleting the game and reinstalling, but nothing has worked for far. Are there any ways I can fix this to finally rock and stone?

So, I've been able to get up to doing a clean install, but I am unable to find where any sort of core auto boost is in bios. Booting up the game also just doesn't work now, instantly crashes with no loading screen or splash screen.

It has been quite a few hours I've been trying to work on getting this game fixed. Currently, whenever I boot it up, I'm able to roam around the rig for around 30s-2mins before the game starts having static sounds and either closing, being stuck on a black screen, or crashing my computer. My graphic settings are at the absolute minimum, I've updated any audio, processors and such, and any previous methods mentioned before.

Whenever I stream my entire screen to a friend to show them the issue and static noises, they say they can't hear it, so its probably a graphics issue. What I don't understand is why the game worked perfectly fine before, but now it doesn't. Other games in my library as well have been having the same issues, being Half Sword and Content Warning, which previously never had any issues. It seems to be only games with Unreal?

Is there ANY solutions for this at all? Reinstalling Windows is a last resort, same with refunding.

it is a graphical issue. And if you've tried everything in the list above, I suggest rolling back to a previous GPU driver and see if things improve.

If it doesn't, there might be a bloat software causing issues (that's the "core auto boost" part of the fix list I sent you. But there are many of them and I've not listed them all, so you'll have to take a look around the softwares installed on your computer).

It could also be a hardware problem - but that's not something I can help with.

I have a seemingly common issue of game not launching without errors. Steam shows that it launched, then it just stops and button turns green again.

Out of stuff that i've tried:

• Reinstalling the game and restarting laptop
• Verifying game files
• Starting the game in all 4 offered in steam modes
• Running it with regenerateini in launch settings
• Running with disablemodding in launch settings
• Updating drivers, DX (can't do clean reinstall for technical reasons) and reinstalling Physix, updating and fixing .NET and Visual C++, including getting files from versions up tp 2001
• Before that had some .dll files that were missing from DX but were installed manually and games that were missing them are fine now, but not DRG
• Using dxvk files to force run it on Vulkan
• Re-running redist's that come with game
• Disabling firewall and antivirus (man, risky)
• Running with cloudflare on
• Disabling cloud saves and clearing saves foulder (which is empty anyway)
• Trying to use my friend's config files (as my game doesn't generate them) to force it to run in windowed/fullscreen
• Disabling Nvidea overlay and uninstalling Nvidea app

No mods, no save files, nothing, game didn't launch a single time, 1 min playtime in steam.
Launching FSD.exe directly gives away 0xc00007b error which is DX related normally

Steam has the option to "Clear Download Cache", which would probably the first thing I'd do, even after reinstalling the game and such

If the game launches then exit it. You won't be able to play it this way since it doesn't initialize steam connectivity and will stay at connecting to steam forever.
You're looking for an error message, typically a .dll which failed to run correctly. Usually this is DirectX related, but it can be audio related too. If you get a windows error message then skip to step 10 then proceed. Everyone else proceed with the list.

Host behavior is always the intended behavior. IIRC TTC can pierce terrain 3x as client, but only 1x as host (the intended behavior that the description states)

I FIX THIS, NO WAY, i used a VPN and had a dead proxy left in my system. The game tried to connect through it, but naturally it didn't work. I removed it using the console (admin rights). Here are two commands: netsh winhttp show proxy (shows whether there is a proxy at all), netsh winhttp reset proxy (removes all proxies).

usually it has to do with the connection failing for some reason. Could be due a very wide array of things.
Among the most common ones :

• ISP issues
• Firewall/antivirus./VPN not playing nice
• 3rd party software not playing nice (lots of bloatware can cause this kind of issues)
• issues with the ports

and so on. Have you experienced issue with the connection in other times as well or just this game ?

Following is a set of things you can try if the issue persists:

• Restarting PC.
• Restarting router.
• Making sure the PC has a proper wired connection to the router and internet service.
• Made sure windows update has installed new updates (Windows 11).
• Switching settings in Steam for sharing IP-adress from default to always.
• Turning off IPV6 protocol in Windows 11 settings and in the router.
• Turning off Windows firewall.
• Try to type the following command in CMD "Ipconfig /flushdns"
• Try to type the following in CMD "netsh winsock reset and netsh int ip reset"
• Make sure windows clock is correct.
• Turning on UPNP on the router.
• Turning off any VPN or assimilated.

Been lagging a lot in matches i dont host here in brazil. At first thought was my connection but it seems fine for other stuff. And recently when i was host a random brazilian that join also reported lag

I didn't get anyone telling me I was in the wrong place so I'll give more info as best as I can remember the events :

-I tried to get in an modded lobby recognised by the game (with the blue/cyan disclaimer) it gave me the pop up about making a sandbox save.
-the problem with DRG server join pop up is that they make you leave automatically before you can finish reading them.
-I don't rember what button I clicked, but after that I was in sandbox
From this point, I started to get steam cloud synch issues 20/25% of the time
-I made a game backup
-I found out how to switch save branches, got back into the original save and deleted the sandbox branch
-I also removed the backup folders since I thought it was fixed
From this point, failure to synch was like 50%
-played a bit more
-then it started to fail all of the time, it try to synch, got to a random number like 22% or 64% and failed
-now it still fails but doesn't even get a progress number, it just wont synch

I made a ticket for it but it was removed without any messages or replies in the ticket. Basically, seeker rounds don't actually function as they are written in the description:

1.) The base bullets do not ignore armor, they punch through armor while ignoring resistances. This makes it a semi-armor break overclock since you're hitting the armor and actively breaking it while simultaneously doing damage to the bug. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but a weird interaction
2.) The base bullets may have that weird interaction with armor but damage bonuses like unstable locking mechanism or electro chemical rounds do not ignore the armor and will get fully resisted by praetorian plates or slasher body armor. Meaning that the overclock's description is just flat out wrong, and is in fact harmful to the weapon. This means you still have to run behind praetorians even with Lok-1 Seeker Rounds overclock to do full damage
3.) Bullets don't aim for center mass or intelligently aim for weak spots they hit the first instance. Aiming at a guards face through the arms means you do 1/4th of your potential damage output. Don't know if this one is a bug or not, but "seeker rounds" implies less of a need to aim in my opinion?
4.) Definitely bug, but if a player stands close enough to a bug you're aiming at while the prediction line goes through them, they will get shot instead. Idk how seeker rounds are coded but it seems like the bullets magically appear a short distance away from the bug which actually makes it possible to do friendly fire

2.a) You can't hit Oppressors from the front without forfeiting your damage bonuses entirely. Making the entire point of using Seeker Rounds null and void lol. If I have to run behind them anyway to do full damage I might as well just use an actual overclock that benefits from it like Executioner or just flat out use the actual Armor Break overclock to get better results

after switching in a copy of the save file it was fine progress was saved

I don't think there are any tutorial pop-ups for mission-specific actions. Most of the tutorials specific to a mission type are diagetic based on Mission Control comments/prompts.

Try those in that order : update your GPU drivers/use dx11 launch option/make sure the game is using the right GPU/do a clean driver install using DDU/try to turn off 'core auto boost' or whatever is the equivalent of this in your BIOS/turn off your antivirus while playing (and check if no files from the game have been quarantined)

the stutter is normal at first with directx 12 : it's building the cache but it needs to build it every time a new effect play, after that, all stutters should be gone. Up until you need to update your drivers again.

if you only crashed at the end, I'd say the problem was fixed overall.

So, update: DRG was running more consistently (even if stuttering badly), and just recently, it crashed, giving me a "Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost." crash report. Now, when I boot up the game, it the screen goes black after the GSG logo, and only responds when I tab out of the game or bring up the Windows start menu with the Windows key

I found an effectively infinite ammo bug

join a match with a build specifically maxing out ammo (something like ammo + minishells) then leave the match, swap to literally any other overclock and option in that tier and rejoin the same match. you keep the ammo from the first build but the stats from the second

since it requires you to leave the match sometimes it might fill by the time you try to rejoin but if you are with friends and they are fine with it there is no reason not to do it

you can have a 200+ ammo pump shotgun build with 21 fat boy shots if your first load out had minishells and rj250

if you resup with more ammo then you should it will reset back to normal so keep that in mind

I'm encountering a nasty game bug that prevents me from rejoining.
My friend and I will be playing (he's the host) and my game will freeze up and crash.
The weird thing is it's always towards mission end, on the way to the drop pod or last night; literally as we equipped the jetboots on the drillevator. Not fighting hordes of bugs or massive effects everywhere that would tax my system.

Anyway, I normally joke about tagging Bosco in while I restart to jump back in.

that happens relatively often when someone disconnects, the only workaround i know is for the host to restart the whole game, even restarting the match won't solve it most of the time, you could test switching hosts too, see if it is more stable like that

Are you loading mods through MINT? if it is only through mod.io / the in game loader - I would try to open the game in "Safe mode" and see if the issue persist. if it does, then it might be a mod interaction that causes it.

I have started experiencing a bug I haven't seen before. When I enter the station, the camera points straight up and starts spinning crazy fast. I am on CachyOS, but have never had an issue before. This is just since the new event.

If I had my wits about me, I would record it. Unfortunately, it has caused me to have a seizure each time, so recording hasn't been my highest priority. For the record, I don't blame anyone. Playing games, watching movies, etc. is always a bit of a risk for someone with seizures. Not a big deal. Just hope it can be fixed.

So for DRG.. certain armors will remove armor plates, details for our glorious beards to hang more freely. However, might be due to the latest update. Shortening the beards or even removing them wont reapply the armors original layer plating. MK I, MK 2, MK 4, MK 5, Dark Future are affected by this glitch at least

Hello. When I launch the game, the "Friends Only" option is always on in the lobby. The mission list doesn't update, nor the deep dives or assignments. However, I can directly join other players' missions (from my friends list and from the Steam Community chat), and other players can also join me directly.

At first, I thought the problem was caused by my internet service provider. However, I launched the game on a second computer via Wi-Fi from the same router, and everything works fine there. Now I'm trying to figure out what exactly on the computer could be interfering with DRG.

I've already tried the following (and it didn't help):

1. Cloudflare WARP + Zapret.
2. Enabling/disabling VPN.
3. Permitting incoming and outgoing connections for DRG in the firewall.
4. Resetting the firewall.
5. Resetting the Ethernet adapter on my computer.
6. Restarting and resetting the router.
7. Reinstalling the game.
8. Reinstalling Steam.
9. Clearing the cache.
10. Enabling/disabling automatic system time adjustment.

About three weeks ago, my ISP had a damaged backbone cable, and for two days, whenever I tried to open a webpage, I was redirected to the ISP's page stating there was no internet access. I accidentally opened DRG on one of those days. I wonder if this could have had some impact.

Any ideas what can cause the problem and what else I can try? Reinstalling the system is out of the question; I would lose a lot of important information.

Hi, since I think at least February I had issues when playing the game, I've been experiencing very frequent "Lost Connection to the Server', I've tried to do everything, but absolutely nothing worked. My internet works great and I have no problems like this in any other games. The issue is not on the hosts of the lobbies I'm playing in and it's something which only I experience.
The In:0.0(everything in the game freezes, dwarves and glyphids either just walk on the same place or go into one direction, I can't throw flares and etc.) thing is the only one I can send out of how this is happening, there is a very small chance that I might reconnect, but almost always I lose connection

It's very frustrating because it barely lets me play the gane and I don't know what to do

I guess there is no reason to belive it's not going to be the same for Rogue Core unfortunately

this game uses peer to peer networking with the host. so, if it isn't you, it's the host.

ultimately, though, the reality is that the netcode for this game is quite bad. i can have a solid connection to discord and actively hear the person i'm playing with, and still get disconnected from the game they are hosting. this might not be representative of the quality of my connection or theirs, but it is still not a great experience

it has also been a thing for years so it is clear there is no interest in fixing it, or if there is it has been very hard and they have given up

Hey, anyone else experiencing connection issues the last few days in DRG? Server browser finds zero lobbies (World, all hazards etc ticked), Weekly Assignments and Deep Dives terminals are greyed out with the error "no internet connection or firewall is blocking" but firewall is even disabled so it's not that. Also encountering a glitch where Ellis becomes invisible/uninteractable when you are not host. This corrects itself on the next section load but it is extremely annoying. You can still gather round where your team are and claim your perks but you can't deposit until the next map. I think this might be due to latency but it's on connections that are exceeding 100ms. Molly would NEVER!
