jet boots BUG again
The host was using the Scout class.
From the spectator's perspective, we could see him use the grappling hook to reach a high point. After pressing the spacebar twice to activate the jet boots, he immediately fell to the ground and died from fall damage.

Today I was running a Haz 4, 2-Complexity 1-Length Deep Scan Solo Mission, which had the Rival Presence and Cave Leech Cluster Mutations present. The Biome was Hollow Bough. Encountered regular expectations of enemy spawns both typical and Rival presence spawn rates and positions both pre-and-post map-generation as normal, until the Drillevator got down to the Geode. Dropping down into it, I discovered a Nemesis down in the geode, and promptly got grabbed and failed the mission not even 10 seconds into being down in the geode. I understand that perhaps it was perfectly possible for it to spawn like a normal enemy as a result of the Rival Presence mutation being present, but I don't personally recall it spawning in. Rather I would like to think it may have somehow managed to spawn in on map generation inside the geode, which if THAT happened, then I would think that's a bug that should be fixed.

I am not sure how to do this myself but what I think you should try first is:
Open settings -> search 'firewall' -> click 'windows defender firewall' -> Second option on the left side should say something like 'give an app access via Windows Defender Firewall', click it -> search for deep rock galactic and tick all the left boxes

Yeah there's 2 things you can do to fix it;

go to quarantine of your antivirus and restore the deeprock files (the most recent ones)

and right click the DRG application found in steam browse files > security and edit the permissions to allow write then apply

Pretty sure this is the latest, I can see specific mission lobbies just fine, ppl can join me, I can see a mission list for deep dives. It's just when i go to the mission terminal and click on "server list" that nothing will show up and it'll endlessly load

You're on the newest version. What filters are you using on the full server list? Try filtering for 'world' and see if something pops up

guys i need help 😦 i was in the middle of a game with friends when my PC crashed and it keeps booting up in turtorial mode. when i go to the save menu in game theres no saves and ive even tried the old way

ugh, geez. a little while ago i started to experience some kind of bug that flips some switch while the game is running and suddenly my fps drops drastically. I thought it might have had something to do with cryo cannon so I stopped playing driller, but it just happened in the space rig between missions. I turned on the fps counter and noticed that the frames drop by 30-40% anytime i move. Setting the graphics to low or to a lower framerate cap didnt change anything, and uncapping the fps and putting settings on ultra still gets me 150fps while standing still on the space rig, even in the abyss bar with the halloween deco and effects. Despite that, the frame rate still seems to drop by 40% when i move or turn the camera. what can i do and how should i report this? I'm on Linux Mint 21.1 running through Steam with Proton Experimental.

same mission type, escort duty. just without any corestone event being active.

enemies non stop spawn as soon as the door of the drop pod opens. Not waves, they just appear, and its so many that you deplete all your ammo in a few seconds. They do not stop spawning, it is every common mob type, glyphids, oppresors, acid and web spitters, sting tails.

this happened to me joining a green beard lobby, the guy in the reddit post plays solo.

IDP.Generic is not a "virus", it's the common designation to a lot of problems, most of them being false positive.

DRG is not trying to send malware on your computer, it's a false positive. Remove the file from quarantine, and ideally turn off your antivirus. It'll fix the issue.

if you fear you've been infected, you can always run a scan but what you'll find is unlikely to be in relation to DRG.

Ever since I updated my steam deck two days ago DRG loads with a black screen. I've tried uninstalling, launching in safe mode, experimental proton mode, changing the resolution. Nothing. Only the audio plays for the logos and then as far as I can tell it doesn't move on from there. I know it's not officially supported but is anyone having the same issue or does anyone have any possible fixes?

hey everyone. i was wondering if anyone else has had all of their unlocked guns suddenly re-locked again and completely inaccessible

in one of the screenshots in the issue, you can see that the game has registered ive unlocked all 4 guns for all of the classes. however, i can't access them anymore or even re-unlock them via the assignment board. they're just locked behind the lock icon in the equipment screen

all of them were fully upgraded too and i have used them all several times, i believe even after i promoted my characters

im hoping i can find some fix for this because i really would like to get back into drg but this is a pain. i put a lot of hours into getting all of those guns unlocked and upgraded

The official position at the moment is that moving the issues straight to Betahub will have a bunch of issues, since they all have to be handled individually, and break the intended flow of how to use Betahub. Also a bunch of them will be invalid or fixed by now, so we are looking at weeks of going through bugs to make that happen.

You could make the argument that if the bug is still valid, it will eventually appear in Betahub naturally. So i would just make whatever bugs you get in Betahub, and we will handle some special cases from our end.

Had a slight bug in DRGS. Finished round 3/5 on H3 in the Azure. Fade to black to the upgrade selection bit, but then it faded to black again, and I unlocked the new, "Axe in the Face" achievement. Linux is not a supported operating system. Basic troubleshooting steps say to stop using proton experimental and pick a released version. It’d also be to compare driver and kernel versions.

Most of the time I enter someone server there's a glitch that removes the hitbox of the initial drop pod landing zone, If I walk on it or near it I get sucked into the void and die of fall damage but I remain on the glitched area but, other dwarfs can't see the glitch and to them I just fell into the hole and died, they are able to res me but since I'm still on the hole I die and die over and over again until I'm able to exit the hole.

I have the game on multiple platforms and never had any issues. Recently my copy of the game on the microsoft store no longer gives me the ability to invite people to my game. When I hit the command to invite people nothing happens at all. I had microsoft look into it and their support team said it appears to be an issue with DRG and not their xbox games platform.

I experience slowing down, or speeding up on PC, that doesn't seem to affect the multiplayer experience itself.
A Caretaker mission had a noticeable slowdown, making it so much easier to avoid hits from the metal appendages, and easier to land hits.
At evening ( 5 minutes ago) just had a mission that ended up speeding up in a similar manner.

In both cases, we're talking about a noticeable, 10-20% speed change

My game crashes/freezes 100% every time at this loading screen, only on my first game launch after I reboot or turn on my PC. So all i have to do is force close it in my Task Manager. And on a second launch it loaded just fine, but it has to redownload all my mods now. Then it can launch every time without getting stuck on loading screen if i don't restart or turn off and on my PC. I don't know if anybody knows about it: Ever since the Halloween update I simply can't launch the game from steam. I tried removing the mods manually, reinstall the game. Doesn't work. Steam tells me there is an error on the disc writing process. Verified files and stuff, it just don't complete the download and allow for me to launch the game.

I don't think it's DRG, one or some of your hardware might be dying or loose. If you open chrome or any browser with many tabs, will your pc restart itself too?

Even new can have manufacturing faulty. Could be loose parts too, usually it's the RAM.

You can try run the DRG game in dx11 first, if it doesn't work... try update your drivers. If that doesn't work too... yeah it's probably something with the hardware.

Try those : update your GPU drivers/try to turn off 'core auto boost' or whatever might be the equivalent of this in your BIOS.
also a long shot but you can try to install vc_redist.x64.exe from microsoft website.

So, I had a rather unpleasant experience earlier. I was streaming DRG and playing with a friend when someone I didn't know joins in my friends only session and gets on the in game voice and starts loudly swearing and repeating the n word. I panic and kick/ban them from my party as fast as I can, which probably wasn't nearly fast enough. Anyways, I thought that might've been it. Then they rejoined with a different name and did it again. I kick/ban them again. At this point I find the setting to turn off voice chat. They rejoin with another name and still somehow talk via voice despite it being off. I had to turn the voice slider all the way down to stop them and even then they were spamming the n word in chat and joining with horrible names.

To ban a player from joining your lobby, you need to visit their steam profile and block all communication. Kicking just removes them from your lobby.

You encounter a huuli hoarder, it starts to run, you shoot at it, it goes through a hole in the wall still running. The body of the hoarder gets stuck but you can hear him run around somewhere else. Hitbox gone where you see him too.

Hey guys. Lv 190 in season 3. Cosmetic tree is COMPLETE. For some reason i got a season mission of "play 2 litophage +1 scrip", i did and now i have a scrip that i cannot use.
There's a messagem saying 'unused scrip' in the season CPU and i think this is a bug pretty much because after you complete the tree you shouldn't receive +1 scrip missions, right??

well, the fact is that all my other seasons have 0 scrip and cosmetci tree completed. Once i got all of the available scrips, no more missions that give you +1 scrip showed up. THE ONLY exception is plaguefall; I changed seasons yesterday to recheck my progress in all of them, made a mission that gave +1 scrip and now i'm stuck with this 'available' one ONLY in this season. That's why i'm calling it a probable bug since i only get "season XP" missions in every other season.

The computer restarts after the end of the missions, and in other more demanding games this does not happen, only in DRG

We see this a lot in here...I know it sucks to hear, but in general if your computer is spontaneously rebooting when playing a game, it's a computer issue, not a game issue.

As to "only happens with DRG"...DRG uses the CPU/GPU in ways that many games don't, and it seems to be particularly adept at uncovering hardware instability in players' PCs.

There's some general troubleshooting steps you can go through (see pinned messages for FAQ) but if those don't pan out I'd focus on your PC.

if you disband team over and over it will give you a new mission drink each time.
the drink is random each time you disband. (sometimes you have to disband a few times until it gives a new one)
you can do it as many times as you want until you get the drink you need.
this kinda ruins the purpouse of for example pots of gold, a really powerfull drink, that usally appears randomly.

Ok I have found a bug on a industrial sabotage mission when the hacking pod spawns in a Different section fo the cave upward of the energy unit if you dig it down onto the energy unit it will fall through it and will be stuck inside the unit combining into an abomination that will not allow for you to connect the nodes and hack the unit stumping progress photo included

Hey guys, back at this issue… It has been almost a year now and I still couldn't find the issue of the multiplayer sync issue my friend has.

She can't play multiplayer with anyone because of the ghost mineral veins and such, you know the thing.
She has pretty much default settings on steam, windows, network config etc, nothing custom, nothing weird or exotic.

The windows clock in particular is all default, sync to the default server, same as mine and most of people using Windows.

She as able to play with me using her steam account on a friend's computer from time to time but she doesn't have access to this computer now and she definitely can't play with my friends and I anymore at all.

We're so disappointed not having found any fix since January. If you have any suggestion to fix this… 😦

desync issue usually comes from mod, loading issue or mismatching versions. The egregious problems like you describe usually comes from mismatching version which only ever happens through mods or someone not having the latest patch 🤔
so if everything on this front is in order, I have no idea where the issue would be coming from

I was at hers yersterday and tested if multiplayer was working, we used both our laptop and the sync issue was here. I had a look at the windows settings, didn't check the game version, but the issue has been persisting for one year, it would be weird if it was a version mismatch

As for the mods, she never used one. I also as a client used a new account on which I also bought DRG, with a lvl 1 account, no mods etc… Didn't change anything (but the issue is definitely on her side)

I'm not sure I tried yet using a different steam account on her computer tho, if that could give clues

I didn't try this (yet) because if it was the issue, it would have been because of a potential custom setup of her previous network (multiple computers) made by her roomate. but as far as I know, it was all default, and she is now alone, with a new isp, new router, default settings. I feel there's zero chance the issue comes from a port issue. It should work by default. Plus, I tested with my own laptop at her place yersterday and the issue still came from her own computer.

Still trying to narrow down the origin of the issue, she just tried running the game on her own computer with my steam account while I was using my second account on my computer at my home, and the issue is still here.

So, I'd say that more likely the problem comes from the computer itself (maybe some hadware weirdness?), not steam's configuration or a router misconfiguration

Try those in that order : update your GPU drivers/use dx11 launch option/make sure the game is using the right GPU/do a clean driver install using DDU/try to turn off 'core auto boost' or whatever is the equivalent of this in your BIOS

I was wondering if there is anyone could help me with a problem that has never occured to me before. I have a unusual 'couldnt start' error that i know nothing about. This is the very first time after years of playing that i have this problem. I'm speculating that it might have something to do with a pirated version that i had on my system and that it's breaking the starting up process but i dont know. Thanks in advance.

I have tried most basic stuff such as restarting my steam, restarting my computer, reinstalling, clearing dowload cache and reinstalling. After verifying files it says there is a file missing/corrupted but when updating the files it just gives the error which is shown above. Every time again, no matter how much i reinstall.

Have yet to try changing download location since i would like it to work on the current SSD (C:) its on since it's way faster than my hard drive (D:)

I'm having a similar issue, but I'm only running single monitor and my mouse clicks aren't registering most of the time. So I keep falling to my death grappling as scout and weapons stop firing. All Google searches just say to make the game full screen and native res, but no amount of toggling display options, mouse lock checkbox included in Windowed mode, fixes the issue. This is breaking the game for me now and it's unplayable. I was playing fine as well for the first 80 hours or so and now this mouse issue has completely broken the game.

Nah, other games and drawing in paint works fine, no mouse input issues whatsoever otherwise.

Hey! Currently having an issue where my mouse will go onto my second monitor while playing the game. I am in fullscreen mode, and the mouse lock option is grayed out. All of my drivers are up to date. This had not been an issue, but I literally had just closed the game, walked away to do something else for a bit, and reopened it and suddenly my mouse had free reign over where it can go. I also verified my game files and it all seemed good. I use steam, whether or not that helps.

reinstall directx;

There's no corrupt files;
he even tested the pirated version to see if it works, and it does.

i had a weird bug happen to me like a week ago where one of my teammates decided to get out the top of the map with extraction jet boots and a resupply hole, which teleported him millions of meters away from us and broke collision for everyone making us unable to stand inside the drop pod

the mule just walks straight through solid floor under the caretaker in this mission, i guess the mule is either programmed to always be able to walk on/around the caretaker platform (it poked through to the bottom tunnel here) or the map is wrong and the caretaker platform removes more terrain than is shown, either way pretty interesting

the ai in the game always tries to walk on "valid terrain" when possible, and i know stuff like the drop pod and resupplies mark the terrain they dig through as "non walkable" so perhaps the caretaker's platform does that too? either way its weird to see but it's probably working correctly

that's normal, the minerals you end up with are base x the multiplier from difficulty.

it's always been like that

the multipliers affecting the reward levels are: difficulty, mission length, mission complexity, the various warning/anomalies.

Theres two bugs here stacking:
Buff beer effects apply twice
Reduced fall damage after grappling is permanent once you grapple until you go down, and is reapplied once you grapple again

@storm tendon I finally found something substantial. I have a 13/14 series Intel CPU, which usually come with a manufacturing issue that can permanently damage it over time. Thankfully the microcobe or something was already released and i could update my BIOS. So far none of my games are crashing and DRG is running on DX12 just fine now.

I've just had a look in app.betahub.io and I can't see any mentions but surely other people have noticed some cave generation bugs in the latest releases?

I had one the other day where one part was completely disconnected from the other with like a 4 dwarf-wide wall in between.

I've also seen exits from large caves completely hidden by other features, frequently that big "noodle" feature that often generates near the ceiling.

I've also seen loads of examples of what should be dirt-linked tunnel loops that actual carve through the centre of the map, effectively digging out one massive cave, and I don't feel like that's "working as intended".

Consecutive shots don't extend the electric trail damage and slowdown. If you shot before the previous trail expire, then you basically waste the 2nd electrical trail (for enemies previously affected) as none of the effect will be applied.
In practice, it makes it way less efficient than it should on the paper.
