Hi all, I hope I am in the correct section, could someone help me with my problem?
For a few days I noticed that while playing, even if I see that at the end of the mission I have a certain level, in the game screen during a mission or in the lobby it always remains at level 9. I tried to check the integrity of the game files, I tried to see old saves to restore, but all the saves are at level 9 and in the end game screen it shows me a higher level, why? That's the season pass level, not the account level

#

You gain an account level every 3 character level.
If the dwarf you're playing is at lvl 25, he has hit the "maximum" level and you will have to promote him to keep leveling.

In red, your character level : if this hits 25, you have to go through an assignment and promote your dwarf, otherwise you're not going to get any xp.
In blue, your account level : it goes up every 3 character level (regardless of the dwarf you're playing)

anyone having an issue with the game not loading up when you launch it? have a friend who just got a new PC and redownloaded the game, and is having issues with it launching, I told him about the -disablemodding fix that was used last time, but I figured the devs patched it, waiting to hear though if that helped, but curious if anyone else having issues, or knows any other fixes.

verify the game's files
try launching with dx11
Backup the saves somewhere, then delete the save from the game's folder. Launch the game again.

I've been having this bug recently where only when starting my own lobby, it makes my mic open in game chat even though I have push to talk enabled and it stops being open only when turning push and talk on and off again in settings

Ok so there is one bug called Goldie and he is a really nice lootbug and tells great jokes about minerals at least Stevee and me like them and then one day while I was talking with him with beer in my hand, suddenly small box fall near me and beeped. I lost consciousness and don't remember what happened next but I woke up in med bay at least my beard was looking amazing you don't know how much time takes to keep it good looking. I get back to that place but I only found huge hole in place where i was sitting with lootbug. Has anyone seen him? I asked Stevee but he just walked away to kill more macteras. I will buy beer for person who tells me his location.

Once i was scrambling to get in to the pod on a solo mission, i was on a cave that was actually above the pod so i started digging, i fell over the top of the pod and died, and bosco cound't revive me, he had all revives, did it happened to someone too?

What causes Menaces to lose hostility? It seems to happen fairly commonly where something will cause a Glyphid Menace to just stop shooting, stop burrowing, and just sit there and look at you after that. Sometimes they move around a little but they just won't attack. I'm sure it's not working as intended.

i just had to QTD due to a bug. Loading into a low O2 escort, my loadout was not what I had selected. The class was correct however. But soon I noticed I had no HUD and was not receiving oxygen from Dotty. I hit Esc to check my connection (thinking I might have a lag issue?) but only my cursor came up. Anyone else get this problem?

But, I've had issues with DX 11 where the server are out of sync with my client in multiplayer like in Planetside 2 and when that happens the entire client on my side likes to rush up to that point. The real fix is to restart the client. That's why I stuck with DX 9.

When I boot up the game through steam, I have the option to play DRG as standard, DX 11, DX 12, Safe Mode. I choose the standard, since that's likely the DX 9 variant.

I dunno, maybe some time variable overflow breaks something in my client. I don't usually have any technical issues during normal games. It's too suspicious to be a coincidence.

The seasonal terminal level is not the same as your player level. Make sure you are not referring to that as your player level.

We are aware this is a problems and haven't forgotten you. We are still investigating but haven't been able to find the source yet. Currently we are looking into whether the newer engine version or the newer steam api version (or both in combination) both introduced with season 02 could be the issue. In that regard, more info on the issue is needed.

So if you are experiencing those issues and want to help with the investigation reply to this/ or dm me with following info:

Does the issues happen both when you are client or also when you are hosting games?
Are the issues consistent or only in some games?
Where in the world are you located?
Specs for your PC
How is your internet connection?
Are you using mods?
Are you using a vpn?
What steps, if any, have you taken in order to try and combat the issues?
Anything that could be relevant (Other than "It started after Season 02"): When does it happens? Are there times where it is worse than others?

We understand that it is super frustrating (it is for us too) and appreciate your patience while we are trying to figure it out.

Sorry, braindead.
I had never had a problem with mods, and I did not install any new mods.
Using things like flares regen faster. A few days ago, I wasn't paying attention and the game took my mainsave and made it a sandbox, right?
After following the steam guide, I load into a fresh, lv1 save and cannot reload into my corrupted/sandboxed main save from there.

It's been known, even to my experience, that the game tends to crash randomly and completely with DX 12, even DX 11 has it's own problems related to multiplayer client sync. Try launching it as standard.

would shoot, and then the character wouldn't end up reloading it, but it would auto load and shoot afterwards as if born ready effects it when it's out or sometimes not load the crossbow at all until it was swapped and born ready auto loaded it.

hey guys. I recently experience an issue with DRG crashing. I started the game twice today and the same notification
'FSD_win64_Shipping', kernel32, ntdll follow with a crash of the game. The game was running fine about a week ago, so I'm not sure what has changed. Does anyone know how to fix it?

probably unrelated, but i actually had disconnect issues and DRG helped me discover that i had a faulty ethernet cable.

Now with regards to the Steam specific problem at hand: I suspect that it is a Steam Datagram Relay issue which is exacerbated behind CGNAT/DSLite. In such cases, SDR tends to assign relay servers and switches them frequently. When I host, i sometimes see, especially at someone joining, a short lagspike for that player.

It's possible the netcode cannot cope with a sudden switch to a different relay server.

This effect and lagspikes are notable behind 5G which, as I am using a Fairphone 4 for tethering, has a CGNAT-like effect as it can't forward ports (despite using an APN that grants a dedicated IPV4 address).

E.ON Highspeed 1000 (FTTH, dedicated ipv4) no issues after port forwarding. Same for Telekom VDSL 80/40 (also dedicated ipv4) after i removed the faulty cable and switched to wifi.

Workaround: If you have a public IPv4 address, manually forward UDP ports 27015 to 27030 and set Networking in the Steam options to always use your public IP address.

This has happened to me quite a lot more often than usual, so I believe it is the issue you are mentioning, as it rarely if ever happened before.
It has happened when I am host, but also a friend tonight, whilst he hosted, had the same issue (I then hosted, as I am more reliable, only for it to happen to me.. lol)
Couldnt say if it was a specific game mode. Both times tonight it was at the end of the mission, literally a min before leaving. I just shot an oppressor with the smart rifle, as it disconnected me.
Located UK, England.
Specs: Win 10 Pro 64bit 19044, AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB RAM, Direct X 12, AMD Radeon Rx 5700 16GB.
Internet is Virgin Media, 200mb.
I have experienced with hosting whilst using mods and not. Happy to list mods, if useful
No VPN
NO steps to combat it.
IM fairly sure one of the other times it has happened, it was whilst shooting a preat or oppressor. Im sure I can get my crash logs, if helpful.

Trying to open deep rock and it keeps showing the opening logo, then crashes before the game actually opens. My dad has been having this issue for a while now and I've never experienced it. We have the same graphics card type on our separate rigs. Currently he can't open the game at all. He's tried 10+ times and the same thing keeps happening. Any advice on this? TIA

Edit: we have tried all 4 options when opening the game, and neither make a difference. It seems very much random

Edit 2: it worked after about 30 times of trying to open.

o/ having sound issues - game is not detecting any of my output devices, have done reinstalls of both game and drivers, ran the game with dx11 and dx12. Anyone know a solution? the sound works for the startup sequence and cuts off after the first 2 splash screens.

sadly, saves are local and Steam Cloud not entirely reliable. He could try checking the saves menu in the in game options

#

other than that, if you manage to mount the HDD in a tool like GParted you will find the save files in <steam or library root>\steamapps\common\Deep Rock Galactic\FSD\Saved\SaveGames (unless that got changed, would need to check after work)

It seems like the mineral exchange is bugged on Xbox and you can either lose/gain credits by buying/selling minerals and then closing the game. Your minerals will reset to previous values but credits will stay as they were after the purchase

I'm having the same issue. I'm on PC and friends on Xbox. It works occasionally but 9/10 times it doesn't and I can't find a difference in how I group up. I can't press c to invite anyone but they can invite me through xbox.

Hi, I've been trying to join the miners union on and off for about a week now with absolutely no luck. I'm on Linux Manjaro running the Steam version through Proton 7.0-3 and Gamemode. I use Firefox, and the Discord Flatpak. I'd report this on the Jira but I don't have any more detailed information other than "it's not working, I don't have the role or the in-game bonuses". I've tried all of the community-maintained fixes for the issue that pertain to my setup and none of them have helped. I have mods installed but all are verified so my save is still effectively vanilla. Is there a way to get in touch with the bot maintainer or someone else to try and figure out how to join the miners union?

Yeah that's not a bug on GSGs end. Discord can't communicate with steam games on linux due to sandboxing.

I imagine you're running into issues because discord is inside flatpak, so you could either figure out how to redirect the IPC by referencing https://github.com/flathub/com.discordapp.Discord/wiki/Rich-Precense-(discord-rpc) or install the non-flatpak version

Would be awesome with a video of it - because the videos we've gotten from people reporting it you can see that eventho the hearthstone explodes and goes into next phase the rocks that leak over to that phase were in fact spawned in their phase but just hadn't arrived at the hearthstone before the phase changed. Happens with big caves or bad hosts.

Are you trying to join them in spacerig? or in mission? - On another general note, I can't reccomed that your friend hosts when they're on an xbox one. The xbox one is ... old. And the games performance is reliant on the host. Basically host on good machine = less lagg/ loading / weirdness for all players - Host on slow mashine = looong loading times and lag.

there was also this case, but 2 times maybe one rock started to spawn (particles started to appear) at the end of second phase and another 5 kept spawning afterwards. literally spawning, full animation.

This is the third time this has happened for the same reason, this time I remembered to capture a save.
Has anyone else experienced a sudden crash after sometimes killing a target that has 2 electric crossbow bolts lodged inside of them with the plasma rifle?

(Yes this has even happen to me without mods)

this happens to me on xbox sometimes, I will remember to get a vid.. it seems to occur when the rocks spawn close to the end of the second phase. I’ve gotten some about halfway through the 3rd

I've noticed some visual errors as I play, black lines and varied shapes dominate my screen when I get to the more system intensive parts of a mission. Like say during a swarm and many particles and effects are displayed on my screen the visual distortions are at their worst. Should I verify my game files or turn down visual settings? just an updte out of interest, have reinstaled cleared mods unscribed, rest modem, firewall, windows time. steam region done lot still cnt see server list. DRG works on my bothers fine down the road. he loads up my steam now he cant see servers. Have i been banned or something.

You have this with other games too? Could be an overclock and/or overheating of your PC. Especially if the error you get mentions a low memory address like 0x0000000A. Check your temperature or update your GPU driver if you can.

Hey guys, I have been getting a lot of multiplayer sessions with "phantom minerals" or minerals which dont count when mined.
The minerals only render on my client and they can be destroyed but no mineral can be collected.

Sometimes when I rejoin I can mine like normally but sometimes all minerals except the ones in walls are messed up.

Hey, so my PC kept crashing while playing DRG. The crashes occurred in a less and less time interval. My PC just shuts down completely and i have to turn off the power supply before i can turn my pc back on. I fixed it a little bit, by increasing the airflow in my PC, therefore less overheating, I updated my graphics driver and i run DRG in a small windowed mode. Before the "fix", it crashed almost immediately i got into a mission. After the "fix", it crashed after like 2 missions. Also, i live in the attic and the temperatures are pretty high up here. Anybody know a fix to this?

Like you've already discovered, it's almost certainly a cooling issue. Your thermal paste is also probably dried up as well and not providing nearly as much thermal transfer as it used to.

Check today still no server games listing. I have check filters like not running sandblox only. checked region download for steam. reset modem, check windows is sync correct time. Even going as far as port forwarding.

On PS4, when running escort missions in particularly large caves (3/3 length and complexity), the host almost always crashes near the end of the mission.

It's happened 3/4 times in missions with the massive open room with the large "beams" stretching across high up.

Usually the framerate dips to around 10-15 fps just before it happens

#

You can even tell if the mission in question will have the big room because the loading bar will take much longer than usual.

If you are on Steam: It's a Steam datagram relay issue.
This issue can be worked around if you have a dedicated (also called public) IPv4 address. Whether static or dynamic doesn't matter.

Forward ports UDP 27015 to 27030 and set Steam Networking to always use your public IP address.

tried DX11 mode? the issue DXGI_ERROR_DRIVER_INTERNAL_ERROR means that the GPU driver crashed. It can also mean that the game attempted to use a rendering or shader function not supported by your GPU.

I guess this is a bug, but if you remove all the ommoran bedrock it looks like those beam pillars can't spawn at the final phase.

So today a few hours ago I joined a deep dive with 3 other fellow dwarves, it was in Fungus Bogs, got the overclocks, everything normal, after a while I took a look and seems like the normal deep dive is in sandblasted corridors, I was curious so I joined, completed it and also got the overclocks, so I somehow did 2 normal deep dives and got 6 total overclocks and there's still the EDD

"Close" can mean anything. It's even "close" when the host uses a satellite connection or is behind a VPN

I'll just post it here for now.

It's the understanding of my group that during Omen machine events, bug spawning is suppressed. Well we just did a Point Extraction mission in the Crystalline Caverns (just finished less than 10 minutes ago) hazard 4. The bugs did not stop spawning. If anything they spawned more often.

And recently (within the past week), I was doing Point Extraction in the Radioactive Exclusion Zone hazard 3 or 4 (I forget which). The same thing happened. While doing the Omen machine event, bugs never stopped spawning. Is this intended behavior?

I keep getting a bug where im given the option to sheild boost a downed teammate when the shield link active perk is off cooldown. doing this just consumes the ability putting it on cooldown since you can't give shield to downed players. the annoying part of the bug is since the boost shield button is same as the revive button, I am forced to waste its use to revive someone

a potential fix would be to allow players to change keybinds of active perks. I also find a similar (but not a bug) issue with berserker as well where i accidently activate it while my power attack is on cooldown, but this feels like more of a suggestion than a bug fix

I found a bug where if I change the audio input device to my laptop speakers it freezes the game, doesn't happen if i switch it to any other source. I can reliably reproduce it.

ROCK AND STONE! I need help brothers. Yesterday one of my new subscribed mods did not show up so I tried to delete mod.io folders. Now I can not even log to modding center. I have always "you must agree to the terms of use to gain access" screen and I cannot pass it. I already tried reinstalling the game and this guide:

unsub to all mods on mod.io and delete account
launch game with -disablemodding in launch options
exit to desktop and delete -disablemodding from launch options
go to "C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Local delete mod.io folder
go to "C:\Users\Public" delete mod.io folder
(Check "C:\ProgramData" and see if there's a mod.io folder - if there is - then delete it)
then launch the game
create new account on mod.io by agreeing to terms and click install mods (and connecting your steam account)

Nothing helped.

Deep Rock Galactic has crashed my computer three times today, each time while in the space rig. My screen turns green, my entire computer crashes, and then turns back on on its own. I verified the game files and it just happened again. It doesn't happen constantly, but its frequent enough that it's extremely annoying.

Hey guys, just doing a mission where I found a bit of rival tech that had a "Call hacking pod" option appear over it when I got close. I held E to call the pod in, and the mission control guy said it was on its way. Well I've been sittin' here maybe 15 minutes now and there's no hacking pod here. I didn't hear one drill in, nor do I see any drill holes like you do with supply pods when you hold TAB. When I hold CTRL there is only the APD and MULE. I've scoured the immediate cave section and found no hacking pod. I'm about to search the rest of the level, but I was told to submit a screenshot of my ESC menu with this writeup. It's not a big deal or anything, as it's not like it's stopping me from progressing, but I definitely feel like there should've been a pod here by now 😅 Thank you 😄

No idea, I was just gonna report my bugs here for now.

I fell through the map when spawning in. Nothing out of the ordinary, no one else was downed, the dropship didn’t collide with any walls or anything like that. As soon as I spawned in, as gaining control, I just fell through the map and got downed, but was teleported to some random area of the map away from people, so they had to first find* me, then revive me
Upon completing a mission and leaving my quarters, I opened wardrobe, then when I closed it, I couldn’t move. I had a normal UI, but the little circle as if I’m still in wardrobe, that acts as a cursor was still there. I couldn’t move or interact with anything (despite “press square” to enter the wardrobe being there and being able to move the marker around) and had to exit the application to fix it. I was* in a party of 2 randoms at the time but they hadn’t started the mission yet
On PS5 if that matters as well.

Currently stuck in a mission, im loaded up in the drop pod. Everyone else can move and act as normal except me. I can't type, pause, move, shoot, or anything else. I can see just fine, and see the others typing, but can't do anything myself. I am host, so i can't rejoin either. Anyone ever find/solve this issue lol?

Hello, I have an issue that I may report as a bug, but I assume it has happened before to many people. My friend logged onto her account onto a secondary PS5 for the first time, and she noticed her saved data wasn’t synced, as she was promotion one on scout compared to her promotion three scout on her primary PS5. She synced the saved data on the secondary PS5, but when she opened the game back up, she still was promotion one. So, she checked on her primary PS5 and now on there she is promotion one. We tried to restore her save on the save menu option in-game, but there was no save that appeared that was there before she logged onto the secondary PS5. We tried to bring her saved data back from the PS cloud and primary console storage, but to no avail. She has lost so much progress, thus I was hoping maybe there was a way somehow to get it restored?
Edit: I tried to make an account on the Jira page, but after completing the process, I get a page that says my email does not have access to Jira on ghostshipgames.atlassian.net.
I tried to make an account from scratch, then tried to make an account with my google one, but I get the same page :(

I would appreciate any help my friend could get! I just feel really bad for her at the moment :( it was a lot of progress she had lost and I was hoping maybe there might be a way to restore it, but her and I are going to try and fix it again tomorrow. If requesting the invite is a bad workaround, is there any other way I could possibly report the bug? And thank you for the reply!

the unfortunate thing is that save games are handled in a specific way on PS, which can cause these issues. If she can not see the save in the Restore Save menu and didnt upload a never save to the cloud, i dont know how to restore the save 😦

Oh boy, yeah her and I were devastated. We have been trying to platinum the game and had just completed the roller coaster achievement (which was not easy lol). I'm hoping then by some luck her saved data will reappear or restore somehow :(

I cannot get the mod.io terms of use to appear, they just load endlessly

This happened after i tried to delete the mod.io folders from programdata and appdata/public

if I put the folder back into appdata/public it lets me browse mod.io, but I can't install any mods because I just get a green pop-up saying "this mod will be installed after you log into mod.io in-game"

I'd recommend Verifying integrity of game files in steam if you still can't browse mods from ingame.

I can remove the Appdata mod.io folder and the game will regenerate it fine. user.json might contain older data so maybe you have to remove the mod.io folder and let it regenerate using your new mod.io user?

I don't know whether it's caused by mod.io changing its layout so maybe my game searches under the wrong address, it seems like my OAuth tokens aren't getting updated either so it's like my game stopped recognizing mod.io altogether

so during a deep dive i encountered this issues i have encountered before where the "mining rig" or the platform where you do things like the liquid morkite and the other one
cause the area around it to bug out in a big way .as in you ***fall through the map and die ***. which is a huge problem cause one of our eam got stuck under the map dead and itt kep transporting me to the first spot i died when ever i fell through and it cost us the last part of the deep dive

Quick question. Is there a bug with fire right now? Or with Gunners Burning Hell OC? I just played my old Fire Gunner build on Haz4 and it felt really really inconsistent. Sometimes when I shot at some bugs from 3 -4 meters and they just would not burn. I had to stop shooting and start again for it to work. 1 of my fire grenades felt weird aswell. But i mostly noticed it with the Minigun. Or was the OC nerfed and i missed it?

Hello again, I just had a question from my issue before. My friend lost a lot of her DRG progress on PS5, so she contacted PlayStation support to look into restoring her data. They told her that her data was unfortunately completely gone and could not be restored. I was wondering if perhaps she could be gifted back at least her levels and her season pass levels with provided proof?

so I tried that but same issue. If I click the link it takes me to the page. I am told I need to sign in before I can make a report and then when I try and sign in I get caught in essentially an infinite log in loop. I input the details it says I signed in then it asks if I wanna sign into a different account. If I try to do that it loops back.

UPDATE REGARDING THE MOD.IO ISSUE: mod.io support got back to me saying its a windows 7 issue and that they are looking for a fix, apart from the obvious, which is updating to windows 10, which isnt really an option for me atm
meanwhile I found a somewhat janky and jury-rigged but working solution but i had to use a different laptop with windows 10, so if youre like me and are on win7 and cannot update to win10, this might work for you
i logged onto steam on that laptop (the laptop doesnt necessarily have to be able to run the game smoothly, it just has to have win10), let the game generate the json file (which it did no problem, surprise surprise), downloaded the mods i wanted, then copied those folders (appdata/local/mod.io and users/public/mod.io) onto a pendrive, pasted them onto my pc and it works
doesnt let you download any mods but at least it reads those that are already downloaded

I have problems with using the modding function. When i try to use the ingame Menu, it tells me that i have to accept the terms and conditions. A loading icon is rotating there but nothing happens. i waited for 30 minutes multiple times already and i cant click on anything. What can i do to fix this?
I already tried to delete my mod.io account, delete the mod.io folders and reinstall the whole game.

Hi you guys told me on twitch to tag you here.

As for the friendly menace bug, how it occurs is that when you stun a menace when it's within it's burrowing animation, it seems that when it emerges again it then bugs out and doesn't attack you, but it does keep track of your position.

After the crossbow was added with it's 100% stun chance it's easy to replicate this bug quite reliably.

Hopefully I explained this thoroughly enough for you to take a look at it.
