I've had the same issue, discord invites worked fine since February and last week they stopped working, I can't create invites or join games.

You can try this list that I've put together and see if any of it helps you, but even after I've made the list I can't get the Discord invites to work either. No idea what the issue is, I believe it was a discord update that broke it recently but I can't be sure.

1. Discord needs to be open first, and the game you're playing launched second for Discord to recognize the game.

2. Discord and the game you're playing MUST be running on the same computer, using a streaming service to play the game will not work.

3. Your Steam account MUST be linked within Discord
   *** I've recently received conflicting information that this isn't necessary
   Discord Settings > User Settings > Connections > Steam

You do not need to have Steam displayed on your profile but having the accounts connected is necessary.

4. The game you're playing needs to be recognized by Discord's Registered Games
   Discord Settings > Activity Settings > Registered Games

Open Discord first, then launch the game.
On the right hand side of this menu (Discord Settings > Activity Settings > Registered Games) the game you're playing should be listed at the very top in green and have a purple checkmark to signify that it is a Verified Registered Game by Discord.

5. Discord must be able to Display current activity as a status message.
   Discord Settings > Activity Settings > Activity Privacy

The first Setting, Display current activity as a status message needs to be enabled (turned on).

Troubleshooting:

• Try closing DRG and Discord, then open both again as Administrator.
• Check if you are still connected in the "Miners Union" in-game, if not try leaving the discord server and rejoining through the link in the panels in-game; there's no reason why this would affect Discord game invites but it's worth a try
