Also, it's a bit strange that after the excessive lengthening of the Monster Association (which ultimately ended on an awful fight with Garou), but the ninja village goons are still glossed over. Couldn't even give them a sliver of characterization, huh?

Maybe the Garou fight is neat if you're just coming from the manga. It does raise the spectacle above Boros. Compared to the webcomic though, it's shallow and excessive

The writing has also gotten significantly worse. Everyone is a good guy now! No one is in the wrong! It's all just miscommunication!
Nobody is an asshole. No one has character. Just different flavors of nice guy

The webcomic has this nice sense of dread, especially starting from ONE's return in 2019. The manga's depiction lacks any of this. Society does not feel like it is on the brink of collapse
