Reading Kinnikuman rn, and something hit me. This series was pretty popular during the early 80s, so it definitely could have influenced Oda. Then it was reduced to 10 mins and now 4 chapters later or sth the 10 mins are over and the message has BEGUN. I think it's a bit overkill to keep showing us all over the world reactions of people but def think it is to show us how important the message is, literally everyone is hooked to listen to it. And we know for a FACT that this isn't the end of the message. All we got was the first few words. VP literally asked everyone to get Video Snails. I'd assume there's gonna be a great and well awaited flashbabck (another one lmao) but I don't think it gives me Dressrosa vibes. Ace probably doesn't know Gaban. Perhaps Gaban has worked under an alias for the government. The main reason is that Ace shouldn't know any crew mates of Roger except for Shanks.
At some point in Paradise, the Spade Pirates encounter Gaban and a clash ensues. Gaban easily decimates most of the Spade Pirates and has an incredible advantage over Ace. However, he begins thinking about his captain as he sees Ace unleash a suddent burst of CoC.
Let's say Gaban has reunited with Shanks at some point and knows that he gave his arm up for a new generation. Gaban has been to Laugh Tale, and knows this person will probably be Joyboy. Gaban begins piecing things together. The similarities between Ace and Roger. The name Ace being Roger's sword. Ace's CoC. That's it, this is the boy Shanks spoke of! This is Joyboy!
Gaban is stuned and hesitates to move any further. He has met a messiah. Yet Ace is unwilling to stop fighting, and charges the largest Dai Enkai: Entei of his life. Gaban is unable to stop this and is engulfed in flames. Ace departs, confused on the sudden victory, but glad to have his crew safe.
