What kinda thing are we looking for? Something painful like GT:NH or on the other end of the spectrum, Vanilla+. I'm not suggesting GT:NH. I'm assuming people would fall off fast if anyone thought they might be interested. Just trying to get a scale of what to start looking for.

The most ambitious 1.7.10 pack.
It is primarily a tech pack with some magic and difficult mobs. Magic is mostly 1.7.10 Thaumcraft if I remember.
Something like a 1000 hour modpack.
They have back-ported future MC content updates and mods. They ported Sodium and Oculus.
It is under constant development.
So far I haven't played anything else so time consuming.

VPS is okish to try mmc5. Chunk pregen says that travel in other dimensions may run things out of memory fast. Needs testing and I may be able to side step that.

I farmed like 18 wither skulls for some withers to be killed. Get some beacons up and whatever needs stars.

I'm kinda at the point now though that even with legendary ink I can't really do much without a bottle of lighting, desperately need a trident, the lightning bolt spell, prismarine shards or a single prismarine rod, or any other way of getting a charged creeper. I can't make any spells or spellbooks, staff or specialized armor without it. Once I have a single bottle I can mass produce them
I also don't have the op armor/weapons to explore the ocean with the amount of leviathans and dragons that one shot even through diamond armor, so I can't even really look for prismarine, and the hybrid aquatic mod might as well delete drowned spawning with how many fish there are.
I actually wonder if there's any other mod craft able that would spawn lighting bolts, like a bow or something that would be easier to charge a creeper with

Not too hard to find the dragon nests once you got the hang of it. clear the surface nests where you want to hunt for them, make the dragon seeker staff, and basically triangulate the undergound ones with waypoints on the edges of where you can detect them.
they seems intentionally hidden from the minimap though, like this is me in the middle of one. cant use the minimap to help

But yeah the main thing you want for apotheosis is the table to salvage affixed gear and the table to affix gear using the mats you get from salvagin
Because you get soooo much out of them, damage, armor and armor toughness, resistances, much less durability damage
I just dont think you can go much past where you are in world tier without doing at least that, thats the main thing

yeah, once you get used to how it works and what affixes to look for it is quite simple.

If you arent wanting to do magic reedy, definitely find one of those lifesteal gems, and then a HUGE gear enchantment you need is life mending - its similar to vanilla mending except your gear repairs with every health tick you get, be it from food, life steal, or spells, so your gear will heal same as you do. I burned through half a dozen armor sets before I finally got that on my current set and now I've never seen it below green durability
And while most of my healing is from my blood magic spells having a life steal gem on your weapon of choice should have a similar effect

Because it will take some of your healing to fix it, if everything is needing to be fixed you might not heal, or heal super slow
