#How do I better blend eye lashes when closing eyes?

the positioning looks fine, i would use a higher density mesh on the eyelid and the eye crease though (make sure you're hand meshing them if you haven't already) for the eyelashes, you can rotate them instead of flipping them, let me get you an example
in this case i used a warp deformer for the eyelash close you can also just use the mesh itself
I see, rotations look great too, will redo the lashes as soon as I get back to it. I have been hand meshing them, yes. But I seem to be struggling on how they're supposed to deform?
could you send a screenshot of your current mesh with the eye open and closed?
I did not get a notif for this, I apologize. I did run into a different problem though, that I don't think has been discussed before.
When it comes to eye smile, I assumed the lashes wouldn't undergo such exaggerated movement, however, according to the reference, it seems that the orientation of the eye smile flips upwards?
If it is possible, how does one go through with it?
Essentially from this to this
The reference states as such, and I wanted to be of good faith to it
I usually just copy form from the open eye to the closed smiling eye and then move the lash in place
so you get the same turning/flipping motion from eye smile 0 to 1 that you do from eye open 0 to 1
It looks weird af though 😭
Let me send a video
I'll clean up eye close in a bit, just wanted to get the transition right first
tbh it looks fine to me, maybe the fact that the eyelashes are in a different position when the eye is at smile 0 is bothering you?
This is why I can't have references, I follow them too strictly like a monkey paw 😭
