I'm trying to achieve a certain movement! Where, using balls for example, the top ball moves, and the seondary follows with some delay. Only the second ball moves in the opposite direction slightly before following the first ball!

So....
B1 moves right
B2, after some delay, moves slightly to the left before following and going right

And this movement would repeat when swaying from left to right.

I tried adding simple delay parameters between movements, and it made the follow delay, but didn't do the slight opposite side movement before following like I had wanted. Is this posible?

can you record the physics you did that did not worked?

#

right now it sound like by simple physics it should do what you want to achive

Will do! Its for body movement, so...I will block out the model so it is one solid color for cesoring haha

dont worry, because we doing physics, you can hide the full model, we only need to see the parameters and pendulums

Okay! Here's the pendulum that I want to react as the way of the second ball in my example.

It has 2 delay parameters that are hooked to body X, which would be acting as the Ball 1 in this case. And it is done using angle setting so the model poses how I wanted!

#

ignore the slightly over-maxed output lol. I sorta wiggled the model around too fast lol

#

Also all of my delay phys groups have the exact same pendulum settings as the video. Only difference is the input so the delay acts propperly

humble kraken
#

you are using angle type of input

#

have you ever used any reference for this?

small dew
#

Yeah angel inputs, and i had a visual reference from a model WIP showcase. But the phys settings weren't provided (additionally I am sure that asking a rigger for their pendulum settings is pretty innaproporate haha)

angel inputs?

small dew
#

Yep angel inputs

humble kraken
#

why would it be innapropiate :0

small dew

I MEAN ANGLE

what do you think about this one, do you like it?

i eel your pendulum is a little strong maybe this can help

small dew
#

I saw that! That's the video i used to learn about delays in the first place. I can try referencing it again though and see if it can help me some more ^^

humble kraken
#

i mentioned it because it shows the pendulum

small dew
#

Also, what would be wrong with slightly stronger physics? think

humble kraken
#

what you can do is to make a second input

#

that second input to move opposite as the main input, but in possition

I set the position X input (same setting and shaking as the tuto)
And adjusted all my buffers/true outputs to follow along properly

idealy what you want is that when you add this input to the other
first will cancel the angle yes, because is gonna do the opposite direction first, then when it stops the other will take main input

i can tinker around with it some more NODDERS

#

thank you! Ive made some bits of progress that look like its starting to make sense

#

so more than i would have gotten on my own. bow Im so thankful for this server lol
