head xy?

so i'm having problems trying to make my head XY i'm selecting everything in head Z but it's telling me to have the same parent deformer. i'm so confused????

❓How do I fix this error "Please create an object with the same parent deformer selected"

Make sure that only parent objects are selected before making a new deformer! Check the graphics below
