i would probably do a bit of an opening/closing motion, i've seen some people rotate the different layers of the flowers separately which also had a nice effect
you can make them more or less like a ball (if that makes sense?) and make them spin a bit, also you can try making the middle drag back a bit or be faster depending on the results you're looking for (you can do that with reaction time mostly)
