I'm trying to make it so that when I move the head to the Z angle, I want the ears to come together on either side not spread apart. Unfortunately they only come together when it bends left not right... My brain can't seem to wrap around how I am to do the parameters to get this done. Here are my current parameters and also physics settings. FYI the ears are not tied to the eye blinking - I just want them to kinda flop around sideways when I tilt my head.

did you move the ears directly on the z head angle?
yea I tried but it didn't seem to do anything :/
I'm thinking it's because my ears are all on 1 parameter so I tried making 3 more parameters for the other ear but somehow they are not attaching and I can't remember for the life of me how to do that (I rigged the right ear and copied and pasted and flipped it for the left one)
i went and deleted my left ear and copied & pasted it over again this time only flipping the X1 not X3 or X2 and it solves one issue but creates another one i guess
I made these extra left parameters but i don't know how to assign the keyframes from the left ear on to them....i couldn't find any good ear tutorials soi'm just kind of blindly doing this
somehow i lost my XY rigging so I had to redo it but now it looks like this so not AS bad but yea the ears are still not quite moving how i want them to be
so, if youve got one of your ears rigged and having the effect you desire just copy paste, mirror and select on reflect motion or how its called x parameters
i can send screenshots if you want
sorry upiloaded wrong video
of what you would have to do
yea I did the reflect and it didn't seem to reflect correctly thats where I'm stuck i guess?
yap let me send screensies
basically when my head moves sideways I want the ears to move in the same direction together but they are moving in some odd direction instead
sadly most tutorials are for cat ears which are more dynamic and flop around but i don't want mine to be that drastic so i had to kind just yolo it
pretend the arm is the ear. SO when you copy and paste the ear, right click (or double on mac) on the drawing then go onto reflect this will show up. since the ears are moving in x directions select all the parameters with x values.
yea that's actually what I did
but I only flipped the X1 because when I flipped X2 and X3 i get the first issue (where the ears spread apart in one direction)
i think youll have to put the ears on the angle z parameter
i think this could be resolved if I split my ears on to different parameters but im not sure how to do this
do one ear and then copy paste it
without manually rigging i mean
yea thats what I am trying to figure out how to do so Ear R is the original and Ear L is the copy
oh you mean to like share screen or w/e
im still a semi beginner so im getting something outta this too
yeah exactly!
i think i could help
:)
well comunicate through chats if thats alright
ok sorry i don't use discords vc often which channel should I go into ?
yea thats fine
ok lemme share my app one sec
so like do you see where I have ear LX1 2 and 3
im trying to basically move my left ear deformers into those because theyre currently attached to my right ear parameters instead but im not sure what the easiest way to do this is ?
Ok so I resolved it in the Physics settings
so for anyone who has this issue:
For left ear I reflected Only the first one
Right ear I reflect all 3
so now as you can see they are no longer doing weird physics so basically the answer here is "mess around with your physics settings"
