#Why does my left wing show the rig in physics editor but the right wing doesn't?

First vid shows that both the left and right wing works fine outside physics settings. And the second vid shows that only the left wing works in physics settings but not the right. If more images are needed, let me know ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

it looks like on the first video you are not at 0 in a parameter [and you have 3 parameters in that deformer] so the movement only works in t hat specific keyform you are in the first video

Sorry it's my first time making a vtuber....what does it mean it's not at 0 for the parameter? There are three keyforms in the parameter from -30, 0 and +30. As I slide along that parameter, both the deformers for WINGL and WINGR work as intended. I want the wings to work with only that one parameter but when I placed that one parameter in the physics settings only one side works.

I did try making each wing separate on different parameters but same issue. The other wing doesn't react in physics settings.

I'm not sure if that's what you meant ๐Ÿ˜ญ.

Also thank you so much for replying! ๐Ÿ’œ

Here, that parameter has yellow dots
This means only one of the 2 deformers you selected is rig in that parameter
and that deformer is also rig in the other 2 parameters

we dont recomend having more than 2 parameters rig on an object, because here for example your wing movement only will work in that keyform of the other two

#

in physics the keyform is on the middle [0]
thats why the wing movement dont work

How can I fix having more than two parameters on an object? I've been following a tutorial that used 3 parameters for a single eobject

magic copper
#

can you show me the tutorial?

#

is never recomended to use more than 2 [unless something very specific and usually advanced]

#

the reason of not having 3 parameters is because that would mean you to rig the wings 27 times

Ohh

#

I could do yeah! Maybe I misunderstood something. It's all so complex ๐Ÿ˜ญ

magic copper
#

you can show em the tutorial and the minute and i can give a check

I'll pin a solution comment for any reoccurring problems in the tutorial!

That's for the eyes tho. There were a few parameters for the eyes. I used the same idea for the wings

#

I most probably misunderstood or smth ๐Ÿ˜ญ

#

But I really appreciate your help ๐Ÿ’œ

#

I removed the other parameter and the wings work just fine now :D I really appreciate your help ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

can you take a picture of the eye piece showing the parameters you have? just in case is what i think

viscid bluff
#

Yeah of course!

magic copper
#

oh ok, you are good
what i wanted to see was to make sure u used blendshapes

viscid bluff
#

Ohhhhh

#

So I should have used blendshapes for the wings too?

magic copper
#

the 2 parameters max is for normal parameter

viscid bluff
#

๐Ÿ˜ญ

#

OHHHHHH OMG OMG THST MAKES SO MUCH SENSE

magic copper
#

this is something about how parameters and blendshape works in a diferent way

viscid bluff
#

AHH ok gotcha thank you!!

magic copper
#

when you use normal parameters you have to rig each combination possible [for example if you rig eye open and eye smile having 2 keys each, you in total are rigging 4 combinations possibles]

blendshapes are additive parameters [they apply a movement to all other keyforms] <- this is why you can have more than 2

viscid bluff
#

Ohhhh

#

Ok that's super useful

#

I wish I was told that. She probably said it but I missed it ๐Ÿ˜ญ

magic copper
#

some people think "oh then i can do everything in blenshapes to avoid rigging a lot"
but then, blendshapes are not good in all cases [for example on angles, if you use blendshapes you will not be able to have pretty and good movements like up-left down-right]
