this things are called Keyforms [even if they are circle or square]
If you are NOT in a keyform
Inspector Locks
Because you can only edit when you are in keyforms [or when you have no parameter rig on the selected piece]
thats why we recomend you to revert to default, and move only that parameter using right click

In the video is normal to get the error because you reseted to default so there nothing selected to be reflected
