Invisible mask help!

Hi! I'm trying to set up a similar invisible mask to TheArtGun around the eyes for rigging- But when I make the mask transparent it doesnt mask the eye at all :/ IDK if I'm missing something or what but I'm very confused and would like help!

I just drop the opacity to 0%

I'm sure this is wrong I haven't rigged in over a year and don't have my screen capture set up

Im trying to mask the eye white/iris area but it's not working 😦

Should I reverse clip the sclera onto the eye mask?

if you want to mask it then yes

I tried, and with the opacity set to 0% on the mask it is still not hiding the sclera :/
