#How To Cut The Model?

looks pretty good, just a few things: I would probably etend the face shadow outwards a but more, give yourself more hair on the sides (remember, when the head turns you will see the hair on the side of the head that you do not see from a front persepctive), and generally extend some pieces to give yourself more room to work with (the pants extend should extend a past the edge of the sweatshirt, the neck should probably be longer)
would probably be a good idea to extend the legs a but as well
- side hair
- Extended shorts
- Extended legs
- Extended face shadow
- Added Waist
Something like this?
yup that looks much better :)
Alright, thank you for your help!!
You can rotate stuff like arms and legs in your art program to see how far they can move without looking weird. What you have is decent, this is mostly me nitpicking:
- Make sure your eye white is completely filled in and opaque (and also fill in that cut line on the back hair)
- Your neck is still very short; having it extend to about the bottom of the eyes is probably a good bet
- I would try to avoid having corners on layers that need to move separately - in your second version of the trousers, I think it would be better to have the crotch line going straight across, and the trouser lines going straight down, if that makes sense (create the corner with the overlap)
- This also applies to the neck, it's easier to do angle z when the neck is not attached to the shoulder part, but with how small and simple it is you might be able to get away with it
- Unless the eye highlight is always going to be directly above the pupil, I would fill out the top of the pupil to make it a complete circle and then have another layer to cover/mask the line if you want to hide it
- I'm not sure how people normally deal with the little cut out triangles on the lash line 🤔 it might make things easier to have them separate?
I think this model is super cute btw, I would love to work on something like this
