How on earth does one rig a pony tail, mine looks different and I can't find any tutorials on how to do so, I am stuck (pls help)

What kind of hairtie is it? Is it supposed to be just like a regular round tie? Maybe you can also send screenshots of the hairtie with the ponytail so we can see what looks off
