#How should I prep these layers for live2d?

you can do this for the ear
just find a way to make an easy cylinder, all you need to do is move inner and outside circle
this is what id do !!! more experienced riggers feel free to correct me if i missed anything :))
mhm i figure this way you can more easily adjust for body xy
hm? which holes are you referring to?
ohh, i would draw bare arm separate too then
and keep arm & arm clothing in same layer
actually what i didnt draw here is i prefer to have top chest (with collar bones) & shoulder separate from upper arm
Mask is what you’re looking for
In live2D clipping works as a layer mask, not like a normal art layer clipping layer.
To make “holes” for instance, lets say you have a square that you want an invisible shape on in the form of a circle. You would make 2 layers, the square and the circle with full opacity. In live2d you would clip the circle to the square and select invert clipping and then change the opacity to 0 for the circle. This creates a hole in the shape of the circle where the square and circle layer cross.
i would separate neck from shoulders just so when you deform for body xy the neck wont get too warped!!
i just have a few personal corrections that may make rig a little easier for you or the rigger (remember to void fill !!) but ottherwise i think youre doing a great job so far ^^
i would have both extended!
yeah void fill is like, filling in gaps that may not normally be seen like extending neck further into the head so that it will always show at all angles of head, the extra lines i painted around the chest skin area, etc !!
