#Eye moves properly in Live2D physics, but...

Is it just the eyes or is it also the face angles moving in the opposite direction?
does everything else work correctly on the X axis? like head movement?
haha same question :^)
yes everything else works correctly qwq

great minds think alike
can you screenshot the eyeball X settings in VTS and post
O.O theres a search function?
oh i changed the range but it was already like that before!
i just have small eyes so the thing doesn't really track it well
are you sure it looks the wrong way or is it just the delay from the tracking
while looking to the side take a screenshot to check
Maybe they were accidentally reflected in cursor tracking on live2d?
no im not! and im using webcam level 5
wdym hehe
like maybe it's wrong on the model
can you check in the live2d viewer if it works correctly?
i will try
please check in the viewer
here
Could you reencode to mp4?
Not all video editing programs support mkv files, but OBS Studio (Open Broadcaster Software) has a built-in way to convert (or, more accurately, “remux”) mkv files to mp4 files. Here’s how to do it:
Open OBS, click File, then Remux Recordings
This video was created using OBS Studio 24.0.1
The Star Citizen mkv footage seen in this video was use...
Hmm
are yall stumped cause ive been searching for someone in a similar situation and found no one HJSHF
Its certainly odd bc its displaying properly in viewer and the directions are correct and the in and out values are correct directions. The cheat would be to swap either the in or out values on vts. It almost looks like the eyeball x deformer didnt get exported properly on the vts model. But if its the same version of export that you used with viewer, it should have worked.
i just downloaded live2d yesterday and vtube studio today, so i think theres no problem with the versions right?
it should be the same one, i exported it into documents and then copy pasted it into the vtube studio files
i have only one copy saved bc this is my first try
If you go into the expression editor on vts and mess with eyeball x parameter, is the movement mirrored?
sorry wheres the expression editor?
Yeah, right most tab in settings
its not
its my laptop webcam
there's a chance the webcam is just too low quality to be used for facetracking :(
but the left and right of the face isn't mirrored
eye tracking is way harder to do correctly than full head tracking
i see
so with a low quality webcam, the software might just not be able to see your pupils correctly
it does follow my eyes in real time, just in the opposite directions
i do have an android phone i could use, i just don't know how to connect it
android phone would likely perform even worse 😅
oof, even samsung?
if you only look in one direction for a few seconds and don't look the other way, does it still move it the wrong way?
yess
it's not about the brand, it's about the fact that android phones just don't have the technology for tracking
it stays on the opposite side for as long as i look that way
can you try maybe using google mediapipe tracking and see if it works better?
let me check what that is
second tab i think
where you pick the camera
you can change tracking type/quality
wait wtf it tracks correctly but the movement of the eyes is the wrong way??
This is so intriguing
IM SO CONFUSED HDFH
I mean, you can always just swap the values in the param...
ill try
WAIT YOURE RIGHT ITS FIXED
LGJKFHK
THANK YOU SO MUCHHH
why did it go wrong tho
what if all my rigs end up like that from now on
We dunno, thats just a hack xd
its probably just a problem with my device? i think?
i mean everything else works fine
wait do i tag this as resolved or not if the actual problem was not fixed

I'm joining this a second late, but I will say that I went to check my vtubestudio settings and noticed that my EyeX parameter is already reversed by default
Maybe a button was just misclicked somewhere
oh!
maybe that's why!!!
so it was originally -1 on top
i didnt mess with that side but maybe i did it without knowing?
Yeah I couldn't tell you, but at least it confirms that switching the values literally is the solution
nice nice thank you so much everybody for helping mee!!
