๐Ÿค” I tried to copy + reflect a hairpiece only to get this error. The file is able to save again if I delete or undo the new piece. I tried going back to 4.2 to see if it works the same, and it did. It seems to be happening to this hair piece specifically because if I try anything else (add a new paremeter, deformer, etc.) the file is still able to save afterwards.

I've try looking at past threads with similar issues and some of the suggestions were saving the file under a different name or making sure it's saved at a location that isn't sync with anything. I tried those methods and it still didn't work, and I only have one local disk and it seems to have enough space (I'm not tech savvy, so if I did miss something - apologies and please correct me ๐Ÿ˜ญ)

Truthfully, this isn't the first time I had this error while working on this model. Those times were easily resolved by just undoing several steps and redoing it (Thankfully, they weren't big things). In hindsight, maybe I should've been more concerned about it, but I just thought that since 5.0 is still pretty new I'd just need to give it time.

If I have to rerig the hair physics; It's fine. I'd just prefer to be able to reflect afterwards and keep things symmetrical if possible ๐Ÿฅฒ

Had you tried to do this but removing all extended interpolation first?

#

also, this happends in both 5 and 4.2 right?
๐Ÿค” had you tried to open a new model, copy everything and try to save?

I actually tried the first sugestion, but I did it before the pasting- I'll try this again and if it doesn't work, i'll try the new file method!

im also going to be very careful when it comes to reflecting parts with extended interpolation from now on ๐Ÿ˜‚

# tiny kayak dw, if it helps, i think is just a random bug as that hapened to some people bef...

it must be a consistent one because it happened again shortly after ๐Ÿค” The transfer to another file method helps, but I'm more curious about what cause the bug to happen again.

At least, for this model I think when I start rigging the hair's artmesh itself, it started failling to output? I haven't tried extended interpolation this time either, but it could be a case.. at this rate I'll have to rig each hair piece itself since the It's not cooperating whenever I try to reflect/rig the armesh/ or try to add extended interpolation to the hair hhhh

#

regardless though, it was a huge help!! I was worried that I would lose the model's progress overall ๐Ÿ˜…

okayy this is some last note on this;; i think overall the problem is that I need to optimize my model. Saw an earlier thread about this and wanted to check out was mine was:
