#trouble with hair physics only working on one side

Hello! I making a model and she has two braids, I've rigged both of them properly, all the physics are the same for both (just reflected when needed) and they use the same deformers, yet only one of them is working in the physics menu and when loaded to Vtubestudio, even tho everything seems to be done properly when moving the parameters manually in the editor. Any idea how to fix this issue? (physics video in response)

your physics screen isnt showing in the last video

#

you need to add it and another source in obs

manic vector
#

oh yeah sorry seems like ive added the wrong one

fickle siren
#

it looks like a conflict for me, the right braid deformers that you used for this movement are keyed in another parameter?

#

check the corners

manic vector
#

respective deformers are in the same parameters

fickle siren
#

also you have multiple parameters and only one pendulum

manic vector
#

the one im showing here was done with reflecting the whole thing (it worked well with the eyes), previously ive done the movement of the broken braid manually but the result was the same

fickle siren
#

usually you have an pendulum for each param

#

gives better results overall

#

not related to the issue just a tip

manic vector
#

yeah I will be playing with seperate pendulums but now i wanted to simply test the movements and ive ran into this issue

fickle siren
#

can you show your output tab and the group editing?

manic vector
#

yep give me a second

#

even when i Put only the BraidsX and BraidY parameters into the output the movement still differs from braid to braid

fickle siren
#

ok

#

can you just put the x movement related braids in the group

#

no y related

#

can be vice versa too

manic vector
fickle siren
#

yes

manic vector
fickle siren
#

ok, one of the issues in the first video was the the y movement was canceling the x movement

#

since the movement was the opposite in one side of the braid

fickle siren
#

if it's red, then there is a conflict

manic vector
#

it has body Y and Z in both imput and outputs but it doent do much, i can delete it entirely

fickle siren
#

try deleting it

manic vector
#

ive also moved braids group to the top priority vise

manic vector
#

one braid works with only angle z and the other works only with angle Y

#

OK I THINK I FUGURED IT WAITTT

#

Nvm false alarm cries

#

omg wsit vsdfh

echo summit
#

do you happen to have braids x output in your braids y input? bc thats what it looks like to me

manic vector
#

nope

echo summit
#

mmkmmk sorry, must have been different ones

fickle siren
#

i was checking your video again

#

you really dont have the corners setup, even for the physics params

#

can you check if the physics params works with all head angles outside the phsics screen

echo summit
#

oh yeah it could easily be the corners

manic vector
#

i will try seperate the rotation deformers for the head angles and for the physics

fickle siren
#

if you use the same deformer for the head angles the physics you will need to create corners, that was what i asked in the first question

#

usually try to have a deformer for two parameters max.

#

if you need for another parameter, make another

#

if not you are going to make the corners of all the parameters combination

manic vector
#

ok it kinda fixed it

manic vector
fickle siren
#

you can see when you go to a corner, they snap to the default

manic vector
#

oooh okay

#

why does it work on one braid and not the other tho? if both of them dont have corners

fickle siren
#

in the first video there was a conflict, since the x and y were together it was negating the movement in one side

#

as the y was going to the opposite side of the x
