Hello! I'm meeting a problem that i don't seem to find anywhere, and i'm struggling

I'm trying to auto mesh my character, but some parts seems to disappear or fuse (image 1 before, image 2 and 3 after), like the eyebrows being cut in half, the liner and lashes fusing/disappearing, and the piercing on the ear disappearing too. I tried on heavy mod (image 2), which is the worst, and on standard or little (image 3), it's slightly better, but the piercing and the lashes problems subsists.

I tried after the auto mesh to select for example the sub lashes, to see if it exists somewhere, but anything appears, like it's been deleted or something.

Can someone help me ? b_brianzoom Thanks!

its actually quite a common issue, some mesh presets just doesnt work well with certain shapes so they can just disappear without you chainging the settings

#

its not recommended to select all then automesh anyway, you have to mesh each layers carefully

#

also i see that some resulted meshes are quite big, are you using Procreate for drawing?

so if i mesh them one by one, it would resolve the problem ?

Procreate PSD has layer size issues and Live2D doesn't really like them, you have to save the PSD on other app first like Clip Studio or Krita before loading them to Live2D

understood, i'll open it on Photoshop. Do i need to recreate a projet ? Or exporting the new .psd will be enough ?

actually if you are using Photoshop you may need some extra steps to fix the PSD... CSP or Krita are known to be easiest because you literally just need to open and save the PSD

#

if you are still early in the project I would recommend to recreate the project

thanks a lot!

Yeah if you have your PSD fixed hopefully that would lead to lesser issues with auto mesh, Live2D has problem with PSD straight out of Procreate

#

if you mesh them one by one its just easier to spot issues (in case of mesh go missing after auto mesh just undo it)

well you have to get used to it either way... for typical vtuber models we work with 10x layers than that

there's already bunch of them on youtube if you are willing to look, Himono Vtuber channel has some good ones
