#Reflecting Deformers, still puzzled...!

Hi there! Awhile ago, I have asked for help concerning the reflection of deformers and reached a conclusion until I found something odd: the reflection of deformers of an old project file works successfully while the reflection of deformers of a newer project file (which utilizes brand NEW deformers, but setup the same exact way) does not work successfully.

What I am trying to do is copy the form of one deformer and paste it onto the opposite, equivalent part.

I have provided the Live2D project .cmo3 file & videos to show the problem with the deformers: reflecting deformers in the "OLD" .cmo3 file works but does not work in the "NEW" .cmo3 file

I have been trying to troubleshoot this problem and have not been able to not make any progress or find a solution. I used to easily reflect deformers for equal parts, but now I suddenly cant... AquaCrying

its probably how in the newer version warp deformers are coded differently

i encountered a similar issue trying to copy paste keyforms

hiya, thanks for responding! I tried switching to previous versions of 'Cubism' but they seem to give me the same result as the unwanted result of "NEW" .cmo3 file / 2nd attached video GuraHands

I even tried this option, on and off and nothing Giruthink

You can finish rigging one side, and then duplicating and reflecting, like you would do with the eyes. But also I don't understand how are you reflecting the change from one deformer to another, so maybe I'm more confused than you.

hi hi! basically, since the hair parts are symmetrical, I am copying the keyform of the L Hair Piece at 30 onto the keyform of R Hair Piece at ** -30** using CTRL+SHIFT+C / CTRL+SHIFT+V GuraNekoThonk ; I used to be able to do that (as seen in the first video or the "OLD" .cmo3 file) and ive done it for a variety of deformers such as those that go over eyebrows and such but now I cannot for some bizarre reason

Ah, then is like I supposed, well second one is how I expect it to work so maybe that's why I don't understand the first one. But other thing you can do is making a temporal parameter with the left or right side there, and reflect the copied shape there so it looks like the result in first video, then copy that shape to the original parameter.

Just giving ideas while you figured out how to make it work like before.

I discover that if the parent deformer of the Hair R deformer it's a reflection of the parent deformer of the Hair L, then it works as you expected it to work. But I don't know if that's something you did in the old version, or if it helps you.

I'm glad I helped! And I also learned how to do it so thanks to you.
