Hello hello! Quick development change here on how we're handling showing progress.

In the past we've been rather silent due to the difficulty of writing and formatting devlogs
(also not helped by us trying to find a place in which this medium would of been placed)

To help remedy this, we're finally making some of our inner-workings on both our main projects (Aftermath, and Cloverlink) public!

📺live-feed is now live (pun intended); Showing a live feed of the progress updates on our Trello development boards.
From now forward you should be able to see when things get checked off or added which gives a pretty great idea on where the project's progress is at.

Now, Of course this doesn't mean our devlogs are going away; those are still going to be made
(There will most likely be a discussion on how we're going to try and handle those internally later)

With this change now also means you can browse and read in detail the development boards yourself!

A few final words of context:

  • Though we're more transparent with our development. Sneak peaks and Feedback still remain Patreon Exclusive
    We are not going to be putting stuff on our Trello that Patreons are paying for (in terms of assets)

  • Our Trello's don't reflect the absolute state of what we have foreplanned. Aftermath has a lot on paper and in private writings that just isn't on our Active to-do.

OneShot: Aftermath - Eternalog 1 uploaded tomorrow 2pm CST!

hey gang, we have a pretty big update for Aftermath on tomorrow's Patreon post. we found it important enough to be for all tier subs, and it's a little different than normal as it's not as structured as our Devlogs, though eventually a lot of the content on here will be turned into one, so don't worry if you can't sub, all of this info will be public in the future, it's just a matter of when currently!

  • Glen Storyboard draft nearing completion, smoothing out and proofreading planned before implementation into game
  • Maize redesign almost complete, concept art and face sprites finished, overworld sprite in wip

  • Location "ORANGE" cut for not fitting with the rest of the game, moved to toolbox for later projects. Explanation for this decision will follow in upcoming devlog.
  • Further progress with story and puzzle idea draftings. Glen nearing final story draft. Barrens rewrite upcoming.

Hello, everyone. It is with a heavy heart that we're here to announce the indefinite hiatus of [Project: Oxalis].
It has been an incredible journey, and your support helped us at our lowest... but as time went by, things began being less and less clear for the game and our team has gone through immense stress that we must unfortunately move on from this, for our sake and for the game's sake. We doubt a good game would've spawned from how badly our mentality has become... and we hope you understand.

We have written a Google Document regarding a few things that have happened in the past alongside some information that'll be important to note, you can read it here.

As for everyone who hasn't got the time to check it out, there are some things still worth mentioning:

  • Please do not bring this up with the team. Everything you need to know is in the document, please leave any questions to their respective channels.
  • The Patreon has been shutdown. Done to prevent taking money from those still unaware.
  • The Steam page will be closed in a week from now.
  • We will publicly release everything that we have gotten so far, including historical things as well.

seven years ago, the project OneShot: Aftermath started. and today, we release the final build for the foreseeable future. while I don't think any of us can say we wanted this to end in indefinite hiatus, we make due with what we have.

the itch page now hosts the latest snapshot of the game, its' github history, and a collection of production art from over the years. the soundtrack on bandcamp (and streaming in maybe a few weeks, depending on some internal details) is 30 selected tracks from the development of the game. we hope you enjoy this content drop. youtube ost maybe in a few days. I Am Very Tired.
we encourage fans to do what they please with what we have released here, but note that there is some major things being withheld for the possible future of this project coming back again, mostly story related content. with that said, just because we're doing that doesn't mean you should come to expect any further news any time soon. we want to have hope that some day, we can complete this game, and share the story and world we spent so long creating, but as of writing, that isn't in the cards any time soon. it hurts us just as bad to say it, trust.
so no, the game isn't "dead", not yet! if it was for certain we'd release everything!
