#π Let's chat about elite creatures πΉ

I'll create a thread here as well π You can share your feedback in this thread, or on the forums!
We've made some changes to elite mobs this weekend, and weβd like to hear your feedback on 3-star elite mobs and other elite creatures π¨ from this weekend's test! π¨
Here are a few key points weβre curious about:
- How does the overall difficulty of 3-star elites feel?
- Do elite creatures feel manageable, overwhelming, easy, or just right?
- How do you approach these encountersβ solo, or in a group?
- Are there any encounters with 3-star elites where their mechanics or stats stood out as particularly fun or frustrating?
@strange moss Did they whoop your butt this weekend??
I am a level 9 so they usually do. π
Are you face tanking those badbois solo, or in a group?
Well i am usually alone. The placement of them is a bit weird. You have low level mobs around and suddenly bam you are standing infront of a 2 or 3 star elite mob. Might be an idea to rethink the placement of these high level elites.
Fair feedback! We tweaked their stats for this weekend, but stats aren't everything β€οΈ
I noticed this for 2 star and 1 star elites too.
For example south of New Aela. If you go harvesting there you encounter goblins. there are low level grems, ravens and wolves around. And then there is a full camp of 1 star goblins. Directly a bit away from town.
Oh. Just FYI not sure if you guys noticed. But the sound for lumber and ore harvesting are either gone or extremly silent.
But so far its quite a nice Alpha. Give my compliments to the Team.
Is there a design explanation as to why the design team sought to increase every 3* mob by 24%?
Hard to identify the reasoning after harsh gear changes, with this change directly nerfing the acquisition rate of green/blue gear.
Where did you see that there was a 24% increase to ever 3 star?
Not sure if it's every 3 star but for every 3 star I could find and had data on, it ranged from 23-25%
The data being Mid Level Forsaken Blades & Carphin monsters
First impressions are that the mobs just feel like they take too long to kill, making gameplay pace a bit slow and boring
Personal opinion, having high HP mobs is fine in endgame content, but when the low levels 3 stars are getting equally buffed and made into sponges, it MASSIVELY hurts the feeling of rapid and enjoyable gameplay.
They feel like they're meant to be fought with a raid. Can we assume raid farming will be a thing for these areas? Even if it's just for loot and not exp.
Or will our damage even out eventually?
This content will probably be skipped entirely in a launch scenario with 25 no being level cap
Not worth the exp debt
Issue is that they had flat buffed ~every~ 3 star mob. With how many 3 stars in the game, it makes zero sense since a raid group is not going to be formed to farm level 17 packs of 2 forsaken blades spread out heavily.
I think if they want to encourage a raid group for places like Carphin, they need to only buff those mobs and not flat buff every 3 star including low level leveling mobs.
Agreed
if nova and enveus can agree thats how intrepid knows these mobs are cooked
