The wiki only shows 3 items were unlocked. But the wand is 11,500 backers. So from the party to the statue, they show locked and are not listed as being unlocked during summer backing despite the wand being the highest backer count. You change your class but not your archetype. So when you get to level 25 you pick another archetype and it creates your class. You can change what that secondary class is but can't change your original archetype.

You can do whatever you want. Some people find guilds before the game has released, play other games with that guild to get to know each other and maybe improve their teamwork so they're better when Ashes releases.

Some people are waiting until Ashes releases before joining a random server and finding a guild they click with.

I wouldn't worry much about finding a guild so far away from the game launch. The best way to find one if you don't have anything in mind already is just play the game and talk to people you meet during dungeons or questing or whatever.

It's unlikely any guild formed like 2-3 years before launch will look much the same or even necessarily make it to launch unless they're playing another game / well established / etc.

With keeping that in mind and the price to be a part of the alpha and how much time you can devote to play testing, you need to think if it's worth it for yourself to spend the money. As I understand it, Alpha-1 utilizes only a small portion of the overworld that will be available on launch. And Alpha-2 will become the PTS for the game post launch. From this, are we to assume that Alpha-2 will still utilize that same 10% estimated map size of Alpha-1 or will it be the full sized map?

Confusingly the article on Nodes does not clarify if a Parent node can declare war on a Vassal node. It only discusses the opposite scenario. Has there been clarification on this?

Additionally, with the potential chance of guild fortresses not being added does this imply that you cannot directly attack a non-Castle node a la a siege and instead it's an objective based metric "war" with predetermined variables that have to be completed to determine who won?

There Will be guild war objectifes. For a example; kill "x" member, other than I dont know anything else.

I can think of three.

• Refusing to assist during a siege.
• Disliking the guild who controls the vassal node.
• Not providing any taxation to the parent group and potentially even organizing other vassals to also provide nothing AND not show up for siege.

I've played MMO's as long as Steven has, I've seen this sort of stuff go down.

This isn't to toot my own horn, I am just providing actual lived in context.

Is there also no way for a node that has a parent node declare independence from them? I looked at Steven's comment about how he anticipates stopping J4G groups from taking over servers, but that doesn't really add up to me because he states that it'll be a mafia family situation where there is a falling out between influential members who split and go to war with one another but how can this be done if the vassal node quite literally cannot declare war on the parent?

That's to say nothing about this observation being extremely odd given how corporatized J4G's are nowadays. Some of them literally are corporations.

RUIN back in the late-00's was throwing ten thousand people at servers just to do it. I saw it happen multiple times in WAR.

And I know they did it in many other games. This has nothing directly to do with my question tho.

So far we've seen the bare bones of a generic MMO. We've heard a lot about the mechanics that what makes ashes unique like the crafting professions and the node system. Do we have any idea when we are going to see some sort of preview or early version of the systems set to come in alpha 2?

I was looking back and it was years before alpha 1 began that we saw early versions of what classes will look like but no matter how hard I look I can't seem to find any previews on what the crafting system is intended to be like. All we have now is a simple input resources and receive item but it's been described as so much more than that.

I have continued reading through the Wiki. I want to know if someone is could clarify if BoE and BoP items exist in this game, and if they do, how does this apply to character death?

Oh and in regards to the character death bit, The sould bound stuff is only 'completed gear' so non-corrupt players won't ever drop it (unless say there's some PvP legendary that changes the rules for itself), community debates over whether they think legendaries will be dropable for corrupt players (I think most people assume yes) for the soulbound class gear, that stuff mainly comes from questing so I assume there's a decent incentive to make that not drop even for corrupted players since the quest likely wouldn't be repeatable, in normal play the person getting the item probably couldn't use it, and I assume the soulbind is on that stuff in the first place because they don't want people say selling their 'poison supply kit' (Not a dev example) to a low level rogue so they can skip their 'learn to make poisons' quest

problem with ping (although its a good test to do) is it sends minimum packet size with TCP every second, so will tell you when your IC drops like you're testing but can't test things like continuous UDP streams to a game server

Is multiboxing allowed with separate PCs one for each copy of the game without any Input Broadcasting Software? Only hardware. People are saying different things and quoting different things from different people at Intrepid Studios. Not sure if you're still having this issue... I had it as well. I also found a solution that may apply to you.
I started getting this after a windows update.
The problem was in audio drivers.
I fixed the problem by disabling the windows sonic sound thing. You can do this by going to device manager and right click disabling your sonic sound thingy. You'll know you did it correctly when windows asks you to restart your machine after you disable it.

A way you can diagnose this issue before disabling shit : change your audio output before disabling anything. Literally just go to the speaker button on the bottom right of windows and change to the windows made audio output. Can't remember the name exactly, but just try all of them. The launcher closes fast enough for you to try them all out pretty quick

How do you keep people within your mega guild from using insider info to make a big personal profit knocking over the caravan the mega guild is running? Things like real estate prices/access to the mega guilds main node locking out more casual people to smaller nodes will cause jealousy / an exclusive social circle amongst those people in the feeder nodes. How does the mega guild organize it's dungeon groups? People can make extra personal profit by breaking those rules. etc.

Yeah, dismount before you go in water.

If you get this bug. Hold ctrl for a few seconds and then hit "t" . It may take a few times, and that should get you unstuck.
