Take ESO for example, more DLC than any other game out right now, if you buy them all individually itll cost you around $150. I'd argue that ESO has a much more predatory form of monetization, since you need to pay for individual classes like the Warden, you have to buy each DLC like dungeons or Dark Brotherhood (unless you have the sub), you need to buy each major expansion that for some reason doesnt come with the sub, and it has lootboxes

Does AOC plan to ever have server resets? The node system seems really fascinating, but it feels like that early game experience will be lost after a few months of the game coming out once the nodes are claimed and guilds are established.

It kinda reminds me of survival games like Rust or Ark and servers in those games usually reset every 3 months or so.

That's not in the plans, the node system is made so that it doesn't stay static, some nodes will get attacked and destroyed and need to be rebuilt, it's a constantly changing world

Some combos will be worse than others straight up though. They are balancing the classes in groups instead of 1 to 1 which provides a rock paper scissors balancing theme.

Essentially meaning that yes, some tanks will be straight up worse than others at certain content.

Do we know possibly when or an estimated timeline for when alpha 2 persistent goes live? Since alpha 1 is suppose to come to an end in the beginning of August?

Yeah, then a1 access would get you into a lot of pop up testing that happens

Don't feel too obligated to buy that just for a1 access though, it is 100% a development alpha and not a sales hype "test the waters with a finished mmo" alpha

The $375 Voyager Plus pack has always only included Alpha 2

As much as I am dying to play the game. Since the game came up on kickstarter. I am glad they are taking their time and doing all of these test MAYBE we will get a "finished" game on release and not the shit thats been releasing now days

single letter names on oldschool runescape had to get permanently locked to accounts because they were being sold for $5-10k+

and there were so many issues with people getting hacked for them
