Hopefully this is the right place for this question. Why have Royal mounts "pass away" after 30 in and out of game days? I understand the desire to keep them rare and have players travel on the ground, but what if you introduced a kibble where you had to have a special recipe and gather the ingredients to make it and this summons the Royal mount? The ingredients can also be rare to find, so the player has to be smart with their uses of the mount so that keeps them on the ground.. It just seems like punishing the player for finding a rare raid/dungeon drop...

These were the reasons they gave The reason they are time limited, is because they want to impower Castle Sieges and Mayors of Metro, They are rare drops to have others potentially experience flying for a very short limited time. By giving a time limit rather than a gold/mat sink or having game time being the countdown ppl cant game the system.

I think they said that on average there will be at most 20 flying mounts on a server at any given time, the metro leaders and the castle holders + random drops. Flying mounts are supposed to be a huge combat advantage too.

You also can't just randomly mount up and fly off even if you have a Flying mount since you need to mount up at a Royal Stable in a Metropolis, plus you have a limit on how long you can fly at once before needing to remount at a Royal Stable

It won't. Only a select few people will be able to have actual flying mounts for a specified period of time. This is to reduce the amount of people in the air which generally makes the world feel more empty. On top of that flying mounts will be a premium status symbol for this very reason. I believe the drops should be able to be sold through the AH or traded but don't quote me on that.

A1 sales are currently open on the shop. The Adventurer pack which contains A1 is 500$ (not counting tax/vat) and you can upgrade to it by paying the difference in the price of your pack. A1 will be on sale until Aug 13th (After the month long test)

expect for your characters/progress to be wiped many times during testing, and Name Reservations will be a separate process that we email you more details on when it's time to redeem that perk

Character names in alpha will be separate from the name reservations. For name reservations you'll eventually get a token redeemable for a name reservation on a particular server, starting on different days depending on how you got the name reservation, it won't happen until after Intrepid has decided on their intended list of launch servers.

I see the schedule online with dates, but I'm unsure if Alpha One access means just the alpha one thats not under NDA, or all of it, and if so does that mean that from May 14th to July 9th the servers are up or is it only for set times to test specific things? Yes I got it solved. For transparency, when I tried to log in to discord through my web browser, it was automatically using an old defunct account with a saved login instead of the main one I use (it was using hierox#6220 instead of Hierox#3572). Once I switched to the correct account it worked.
To avoid this issue in the future (if it is common), the discord link page could show the # identifier on it. Not sure if that is something intrepid controls, though.

This might be a rather long lore question to ask, but how do the various races see dragons culturally?
-Do the Dwarves see them as banks of precious gems and ore?
-Do the Humans fear them and wish them extinct?
-Do the Orcs see them as the ultimate test of one's skills in a respectful manner?
-Do Elves wish to keep in harmonious relations with dragons out of fear and respect?
Is the lore around dragons more like western dragons where they are feared monsters that are killed? Or are they going to be more like eastern dragons who are seen as celestial and divine beings that are worshipped? Will it be a mixture of the two concepts? Are dragons intelligent like in the Elder Scrolls franchise and WoW or are they considered more mindless monsters that rely on instinct?

I wouldn't be worried about getting ganked at low levels. You lose next to nothing while the attacker will have negative impacts. It won't be a common thing if you're expecting high level players to just camp low levels.

The NDA keeps getting pushed. We were told in 2019 that they would never give a date unless they could commit to it. We have had 2 delays in 2021 alone.
I want to see the progress they have made the last 4-5 years. I cant see that because the NDA keeps getting pushed.
Normally when you buy something, you get to see it, even try it and if you dont like it, you can get a refund.

@Intrepid Studios Any chance Ashes of Creation will have a built-in GDKP loot system, like how most MMOs have a built in Need/Greed system? For those that don't know, GDKP is a loot system where when loot drops, if you want it, you bid on it with in-game currency. Highest bidder wins the item, and the in-game currency (gold / credits / whatever) are evenly divided among all the players. So if your loot doesn't drop, you don't have to feel bad, since you got paid to help other players get their loot. I think this would be a great loot system to help the economy, and you can also have a in-game money sink, where the game takes a % of the "pot" to keep inflation down.

When you die, portion of the resources are sunk. Meaning they are gone. for good. The more you die, the more get sunk until they're all gone.

Hmm it sounds like perhaps you may have embeds disabled in your settings! not sure where the prompt is on mobile, but on desktop it's User Settings > Text & Images, the two options at the top for displaying "images/videos/lolcats"

The APOC badge was only given out to some of the earliest APOC testers (not all APOC testers), you might have done something like leave the server at some point and rejoined which would cause a loss of the badge, The APOC badges on discord are a legacy badge and are no longer assigned.
